  1. That was so freaking stupid. The surprise marriage to the village idiot, the lame delay after delay so he won't sign till the very end, then a freaking kidnapping and fake death complete with a close up of the weepy almost-bride? Ugh. That was seriously insulting my intelligence and making a mockery out of what used to be a fun and smart show. I fast forwarded through most of that hoping we'd still see a nice, emotional wedding, but one we hit the ten minute mark and still had to sign the papers I knew it wasn't happening. Glad I didn't waste the full 42 minutes. That was seriously disappointing and not at all shocking.
  2. I finally watched that recently and I can totally see what you mean; Hudson does bear some resemblance to Armitage. I think Hudson as a person is attractive (and I may like him a little more just because he's Goldie Hawn's son; I love her!), but Jeff the character is just icky. Armitage's character in N&S at least redeemed himself a bit.
  3. This episode was super boring. I ended up fast forwarding through most of the case and just watching the personal storylines, but even then, who's going to be the best man? Really? Unfortunately, despite how much I loved the show when I first started watching, my interest is starting wane. :-/
  4. I do not remember Connie Britton being in 24 at all! But I probably didn't know her that well then (this was pre-FNL for me). Usually when an actor looks familiar and I look them up, it's because they were in a few episodes of 24 I barely remember. That's what I get for binge-watching. Wow, yeah, did not remember Paul Raines at all until you said this, and now I'm briefly recalling Audrey crying over a guy in the med room. So, judging off the timelines in Wikipedia, it looks like it's been roughly 9 years since Jack left Audrey comatose. I guess that gives the new husband some time in there (I was thinking it's only been like 5-6 years). So he must've met her not long after she was in her post-torture breakdown if it took 3 1/2 years for her to feel completely better, which I still find odd a random stranger would put up with for so long (unless he's a saint, which he doesn't seem to be). I'm probably over-thinking this.
  5. I had to look it up myself while watching. Audrey knew the Chinese took Jack, she investigated and they kidnapped and psychologically tortured her. Jack rescued her but she was so messed up she was catatonic. He was going to whisk her away but her dad begged him to leave her alone so she could recover. So I remember she was separated when she and Jack were together...it's Tate supposed to be the old husband? I guess that would make sense why he came back to fix her for three years, since what new relationship would've survived that? Plus he looks power hungry so this was a great re-entry into the family for him. Probably got him chief of staff. Audrey did look a bit off sometimes too, but she looked so pretty with her hair down.
  6. Ooh, @SimoneS, interesting theory. Does Tate Donovan ever play a good guy? I'd be okay with him being a baddie, there's just something about his face I hate. Definitely going to be some Audrey and Jack snuggling, if the preview is anything to go by. I'm okay with it though...it's been so long, I don't mind a bit of romance injected into it. They never really got a good wrap up relationship conversation anyway. Overall, I loved it! Parts were so classically over the top, others were just go-go-go, and it was great to see Jack Bauer's stoic face again (though yeah, geez, he looks so old for this). I just feel bad for the drone operator Patsy. Sucks to be you, dude. Until I saw the credits and noticed Benjamin Bratt's name, in my head that was totally just Tony Almeida issuing orders. Forgot he was arrested and all that. Oops. I have a soft spot for the actress that plays Kate as she was Sarah in Chuck, so I don't mind her character. Just so happy to see the show again! Takes me back.
  7. I literally "ewww'd" out loud when Juliet and Jeff started kissing. Even Juliet couldn't look him in the face. Wtf, writers, why does Juliet have to be such an asshole? They need to get Scarlett back with Gunnar so they can do duets again (though I liked his song for her tonight). I don't care if they are together personally or not, but if they do and it gets Zoe off my screen, have at it. I really wanted Scarlett to tell her mom to go to hell or at least tell someone how abusive she is so Mommy could get a beat down. Telling her mom how much she loves her before shipping her off wasn't what I wanted to see. I guess I'm more vindictive than perfect Scarlett.
