That is exactly what this show is. It's just music and quick cuts and sex and violence. There is no plot whatsoever.

Aftermath in the Media
AndreaK1041 replied to zxy556575's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I'm home sick and fell down a Scientology Rabbit Hole. Something I had heard of but never actually watched is the Ted Koppel ABC Nightline interview with David Miscavige. YOU MUST WATCH THIS. If you don't have an hour, at least watch part 4/9. The man is mentally ill. It's shocking. -
S01.E07: Enemies Of The Church

W/R/T petitions on Change.Org, use the search function to search for Scientology and you will find others like this. Others have the same good idea! It might be best to find the most popular ones. I remember something like this also when Going Clear first aired. -
S01.E07: Enemies Of The Church
AndreaK1041 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I have recorded this twice, and both times the satellite went out from ~30-45 minutes in the episode. I tried a third time and hopefully Xenu didn't strike me down yet again! -
As a resident of Sacramento, I say NO. The experiment has failed, we are never above .500 with him, let him go. Eta: the man got a technical for assaulting a chair during yesterday's loss to the Warriors, so opinion confirmed.

Aftermath in the Media

Ha! I said out loud "Yeah Leah, get 'em!" at the end of Tuesday's show. My husband is starting to think I'm Scientology crazy. -
S01.E06: Auditing
AndreaK1041 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I saw someone address this on twitter (it was a former Sea Org, but I can't remember who). They said that because they are used to working very long hours at a high standard, it usually is easy for them to find success when they leave. I can see that.- 238 replies

S01.E06: Auditing

I can't tell if I'm biased because I loooove Scientology exposés in all forms, or if this truly is getting better and better with each episode. It's one of the only shows I watch live (with commercials) because I can't wait to see it!- 238 replies

Paul Cryst in another classic sweatshirt.

Seriously. They should just call it the DeMarcus Cousins hotline. (To be fair the Kings have won 4 in a row due to excellent DMC play and effort)

I read online (so take it with the amount of weight it deserves) that she hasn't seen her father in 3 years because she's not in the church. How can that happen and not have him think "hmm, maybe this is bad". It's not like an 8 year old can be an SP, right? Everytime I watch these Scientology expose shows I start calling everyone in my family SPs. Get off the counter, cat, you are an SP. It is convenient as an insult.

I think they fall to 2 or 3. ESPN had Bama as a 92% chance to make the playoff which seemed asinine. They could lose by 50 and still should be in.
-
Thanks for that, ABay. It's good, and the "slideshow" for each episode contains video footage taken during the interviews (they had originally planned to do a TV news story).
-
Well five top 10 teams lost that week (many of them at home), so it was kind of an anomaly.

The Making Oprah podcast from WBEZ is pretty entertaining (you can find it on the NPR podcast page). Just 3 episodes, interviews with Oprah and key producers, etc. I'm listening currently to the Stranglers podcast on Earwolf. It's about the Boston Strangler. I am not sure how many episodes there will be, and I would like them to have some sort of thesis statement to connect the episodes, but it is informative so far as I know nothing about any of the crimes.

You don't think the Big Ten champ jumps Michigan? I think they would.
-
No, if Wisconsin loses they have no business in the playoff. I've seen some ridiculous chatter that Michigan and OSU both deserve the playoff over PSU/Wisconsin. Michigan should have beat Iowa to even begin that train of thought. Just want everyone to know that some Michigan fans do live in reality.
-
The Pac12 needs to schedule harder non-conference games and then win those games. The Big Ten teams are getting a longer look due to wins over LSU, Colorado, Oklahoma. I really hope Wisconsin wins next weekend because they played quality opponents and won (even took OSU to OT). Penn St had one great game and other good ones against medium level competition. After MSU last year, I really don't want to see another Big10 drubbing in the playoffs this year. I think I got really stuck on non-conference wins last year too. Must be something with me. Given that, I'd like the playoff to be Bama (undefeated incl USC), OSU (OKL win), Clemson (beat Auburn on road) and Wisconsin (beat LSU and 2 losses were close against tough opponents). I also want Colorado to win next week. Their QB is extremely talented.
-
Michigan lost that game due to turnovers, not due to the bad spot. I'm kinda pulling for Sparty right now so that next week there is a possibility OSU could self-eliminate with a Badgers win.
-
Pretty generous spot. Both on the last first down and the 3 TOS by Michigan. FUCK.
-
This is as good as Michigan can play. The Buckeyes can play better. Cautiously optimistic, need to keep a foot on the throat of JT, bring on the second half!
-
The matte grey helmets look terrible on the Buckeyes. I 100% agree that if OSU wins today they should be in the playoff, but that is really tough for Washington. People here on the West coast are feeling very confident that they are in.
