  1. Actually Melissa Benoist formerly of “Glee” and “Supergirl” would be the perfect replacement for Candace. She gives off that wholesome friendly vibe that would be perfect for Christmas movies or romcoms.
  2. It was Lea Thompson on the Jane Dow mysteries from the early 2000’s. I think they are replaying them next week.
  3. Cut, Color, Murder is being replayed tonight to your point of recycling the same movies. I thought it was disappointing. The leads did have chemistry and I knew Julie Gonzalo from her time on Supergirl. The two lwads had chemistry. Especially when she made him pay for his haircut which astonished me because nobody ever pays for anything on Hallmark. The set up at the hair salon was sort of interesting but what really redeemed it at the end was the cliffhanger that had nothing to do with the mystery that preceded it. I have to conclude that they are planning to put this new series into the rotation.
  4. I remember Shana Alexander. She was the first Karen.
  5. I also really wish they would have some plus size actors as the leads. A forlorn hope since they only feature very beautiful very skinny people. I just wish they would feature some people who look like much of America. I guess vaunted value of inclusion does not include my fellow Chubby-Americans.
  6. I don’t think they are coming back at all. They can’t use some of last season’s cast because they can’t fire Eboni and no one else. She will accuse them of racism and with Nene’s lawsuit they don’t need the complications. Since they can’t use the old cast and they can’t find the unicorn of a diverse group of accomplished actual friends they will not do anything this year. Plus the crime and degradation of even the ritzy neighborhoods have gone off the charts. https://nypost.com/2022/04/23/nyc-crime-spikes-in-manhattans-east-and-west-villages/?utm_source=url_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site buttons&utm_campaign=site buttons
  7. I think Crossfire devolved from the Point/Counter Point on 60 minutes. They copied the concept and dumbed it down. Wasn't Tucker on that for a while?
  8. Chris brings an easy calm vibe to the table and a built in audience with the WCTH fans. I just wish they didn’t pair him with a generic super thin blond. I would have loved to see him paired with a feisty brunette like Krysta Rodriquez from the recent “Just One Kiss” movie.
  9. That was called Crossfire and originally had Pat Buchanan and Alan Colmes as the point counterpoint. Or was it Dan Ackyord and Jane You Ignorant Slut Curtain.
  10. Emily really loves a two foot turkey hero. After all she married one. .
  11. Hallmark always had a formula. Usually a former child star as the lead like Candace, Lacey or Niki DeLoach. Then a faded star from yesteryear as the Mom or Dad like Marilu Henner or Bruce Boxleitner. Add a Halllmark regular like Barbara Nevin and supporting actors like Peter Benson. So I don’t know if they will promote supporting characters to lead. Most people stay in their lane. It would be a good thing if they did providing they have enough charisma to carry a movie.
  12. If they don’t use some of the originals they should just cancel it altogether. Reboot in ten years or so.
  13. Yes he played the jealous husband of the singer’s ex-girlfriend. We went “Hey look it’s that guy!”
