  1. No, no Adina Verson. Look at that. Exact same hair, body proportions ... I can even imagine the scene. Cinda Canning turns around and smiles. But then the girl on the right also turns around and her smile is a thousand times more radiant. She is ... come on, who else can she be?
  2. Well, my theory needs a lot of adjustment. But right now I will only say one thing. The mastermind, the woman that Krebs fell in love with, is not Cinda Cunning. She is ... Do you know who she is ? BTW, after looking for photos of her, I am in love as well.
  3. Caution. In this episode it seems that people say a lot of things, but they don't really say anything. We don't have Krebs stating that he is GG, or a flashback of GG taking off the mask. We don't have Kreps stating that Cinda is the mastermind. We don't have Poppy stating that she is afraid of Cinda, well we have a non-conclusive "yes" but it can be yes to that she is so afraid of somebody... It is possible that all this is just as it seems, but it can end up being completely different.
  4. OK. This is what I have in my mind, previous to the last two episodes. A. What I take for granted. I don't pay attention to what characters say because it is all comedy and red herrings. So I rely on what we see. There are 3 different masked characters. in order of appearance: (1) first masked character in the passages, saw by Lucy. She is Mabel. Confidence: 90% based on the lips and body type. (2) Unknown character at the bar. He is Nina's lover. confidence 40%, based on body type, motive to kill Bunny and he can do well in a finale full of action (3) Glittered guy. He is Luis. Confidence 50% based on body type, being "the new sound guy" and the time sequence in that episode. The other option is obviously Kreps, I give him 40% at this point. B. Facts that have to be explained (taken A for granted) How and why was Mabel in the passages while Bunny was forced into her apartment by Nina's lover, while she should be celebrating at the attic? Why Luis texted Charles and Oliver "get out of the building now"? Why did he tried to get the matches? What was he going to say to Mabel when she needled him? Who has taken the trouble to frame the trio? Why Nina's lover entered Charles' apartment during the blackout? C. My more likely explanation of those facts Mabel has a secret motive to be in the Arconia since day one. She is looking for something related to her family. She turned her apartment upside down but she didn't find it, so that thing has to be in the passages and she goes there all the time. While she was going to take the champagne, she heard something strange in the passages and she went there. Lucy saw her. She didn't find anything and came back to her apartment for the champagne. When she entered her apartment, she found Bunny dying. Nina's lover killed her because Bunny wouldn't let him and Nina monetize the Arconia. He escaped by the passages to Nina's apartment, in floor 14, that is why Bunny said "14 passage". Nina's lover had to run away in a hurry because of Mabel, so he left behind a hint that nobody realized yet, but it is very important. During the blackout it was the perfect time to go back for it. He thought that the apartment was empty, but Lucy was there instead, so he went after her to make sure she didn't speak. The hint has to be still in Charles' apartment. Luis, the GG, is a crazy artist. He was a fan of the podcast. He was going secretly to Mabel's apartment because of his obsession. He happened to witness the crime. He thought he could make a work of art out of that. He had their phone numbers from an actors and directors database. He called the police and texted them so the police found the trio in the crime scene. He completed his work of art by framing them. He got a job at Cinda's podcast to stay close to his work of art. When Charles texted him, he humored him for the same reason. I will be surprised if I am correct in anything of all that, but anyway this is my best try.
  5. I don't have any problem with those tricks of fiction, as long as they don't affect the solution of the crime.
  6. I think the Arconia has a strange space-time arrangement. Sometimes, when we look it from above, it looks like a huge building, that should have dozens of apartments in every flat , lots of stairways and elevators. But from inside it is a small community of neighbors with only one stairway and two elevators. That was blatant during the first season, when Jan stopped playing the bassoon at her apartment in the opposite side of the Arconia, and she was at Charles' door in a few seconds.
  7. There is one question for which I cannot find an answer. It seems that the masked character wanted to kill either Charles or Lucy. But why? They don't have any idea of who the killer is. Even the superfans know that. Maybe either Charles or Lucy saw something that they don't realize how important it is for the crime. But what can it be?
  8. Yes, I understand that. But no way she is the Glittered Guy, GG is slim. I think the unknown character in the bar is a broad-shoulder man ... not impossible that she is Amy instead, but ... or maybe there are 4 masked characters. Anyway ... My bet is that the blackout masked character is the same person as McGregor, the "no-friend of Bunny", that is, Nina's lover, that is ... the killer!
  9. I would love the masked character from the passages being Amy instead of Mabel. In my image-centered scheme of things, that would make me easier to find a reasonable theory. but sorry to say that no way Amy has those meaty lips. I wonder if I am the only whodunits fan that is also a OMitB fan. Anybody else has read Agatha Christie here?. That theory is not funny at all. The two great motives for killing are money and love. The monetization of the building would represent a big sum of money. That is the most obvious motive to kill Bunny. The Dimas twist is fine. The second possible motive to kill Bunny is the painting. And that's it. Unless everybody has overlook something very important, any other motive would come out of nowhere and therefore that would be unacceptable.
  10. I don't know it that is an intentional fake belly or what. But the GG is slim.
  11. I am here because I prefer traditional forums to all that new stuff that I don't get to understand. I'm middle aged. I guess that most fans of a series where 2 of 3 main characters are over 70 will be rather old.
  12. OK, not a lot of information in chapter 8. I would expect more out of a blackout. But there are three hypothesis that I want to test (1) Can be Jonathan, Howard's boyfriend, the masked character in the passage? The actor is Jason Veasey BTW. We have his sneeze. The original sneeze sounds like a deep voice. It could be him. And he has big lips ... so let's do the test So, well, not impossible, but I'll stick with her. (2) Is Inspector Kreps the Glittered Guy? He is the glittered neck guy for sure, but is that him for real or did he have an encounter with GG? His shoulder aches because of a needle, opening a door or just a new tattoo? The hand is very similar, I won't repeat the test here, but that is a point in his favour. Now, what about the face profile and the body type? Not the same nose, not the same chin. Point for Luis. The body type, Rapaport is way two big for being GG and the belly of the GG is obvioulsly fake. So my conclusion is that Inspector Kreps is just being framed. I will stick with Luis. (3) Which of the masked characters forced his way into Charles' apartment? To be honest, I don't know. I will think of a renewed theory and I'll write it down tomorrow.
  13. This can be interpreted in two different ways (1) In episodes 1-7 (and season 1), you have enough clues to determine the final solution as more likely than any other competing theory (GREAT!) (2) The final solution comes out of the blue, but they sell a couple of things that happened in those chapters as "clues", even in it was impossible to know what they meant before knowing the "solution", and therefore the crime was UNSOLVABLE. Number (2) is what happened in season 1, and that is what I expect to happen in season 2 also.
  14. It is guaranteed that the killer is among those suspects? I read "Choose a Suspect", "Who Killed Bunny?" "Share with friends". But I cannot see "The murderer is one of them" or something like that. I think that the murder is right in front of us. After choosing a crazy nymphomaniac, of which we hadn't any clue whatsoever, let alone of her relationship to Tim Kono (I mean, a complete no-no in a whodunit, worst solution possible), this season they selected the obvious one. And they rely on a lot of smoke and an almost unseen killer to avoid us to discover it. I see 3 different masked characters and 3 episodes left. Next, it seems they will solve the glittered guy. I expect some crazyness here. Luis, the Coney Island bouncer, is in some unknown way related or obsessed with the trio. He has kidnapped Lucy, she will save herself and there will be two masked characters left. Episode 9 we will learn the real motive for Mabel being in that rundown apartment. What is she looking for in the passages, and why she was there while the killer was forcing Bunny to her apartment. I expect a time inaccuracy here and some crazy story also. But the finale, the murder itself, it seems simple. McGregor wants to monetize the building. He tries to convince Bunny at the bar. It doesn't matter, Nina will do it. Then Bunny changes her mind, wants to stay, and he kills her. He escapes by the passageway, the matches drop. Bunny knows he is Nina's lover so she says "14 passage" meaning he went through the passage to Nina's apartment, in floor 14. End of the story, everything falls into place.
  15. When first I saw that hand (and then the face), I thought to myself, why, I was wrong, that guy is not Luis. That hand is from an older and stronger man. But later I saw that Luis has a strong veiny hand compared to his general build. And the light can make the skin look older, and change its color, as it happens to Mabel a little later in the same scene. and the face profile is perfectly compatible. Overall, I am not saying that this scene proves that the Glittered Guy is Luis, but it doesn't disprove it either.
  16. Nice chapter and quite a lot of information. We can see the killer with the knife. Now, is he the glittered man or is he the "no friend" of Bunny at the bar? Hard to say. But I bet for the guy at the bar. Like I said before, I think he is McGregor, a very muscular actor with broad shoulders, while the glittered one I think he is Luis, much more slim.
  17. He is another possibility. The body frame is similar. The name of the actor is Maulik Pancholy. Judging by his photos in Instagram I think he is not tall enough, but I can't discard him.
  18. We are past the equator of the season and I think it is a good time to set some predictions and see how good we were doing when mystery solves.at the end of the season. 1. Who is the masked character in the passage? 2. Who is the unknown character at the bar? 3. Who is the glittered masked character? 4. Who is the killer?
  19. OK, new data in this forum to take into consideration, and people pointing to weak points in my previous theory, so here I have a new refined theory about the killer. Some messages above, I showed consistent circumstantial evidence that Luis is the glittered masked man. At first, I didn't think that would make him the killer. But there are two key data in this forum that caught my attention: (1) the schedule posted by @sjankis630 and its frame posted by @shapeshifterI had read carefully the schedule when it appeared in the episode, but nothing seemed suspicious. But after watching the entire episode, I spotted a very special entry: "Monday, 3pm Meeting with new sound guy". I went to read the full casting at imdb.com, and it says Franciso J. Gonzalez, 1 episode, "Performance Review"!!!! So Luis, Cinda's assistant, is "the new sound guy". And he is also the guy that texted Charles and Oliver. And he is also the glittered masked character. This sends the investigation to a whole new direction ... I don't usually pay much attention to what the characters say, because it is all comedy and red herrings. But this made me remember Jan's intervention this season. It didn't make much sense for her to reappear, did it? So at least she should have given some true clue. She said, (a) "the killer composed the murder scene" and (b) "... finding ways to stay close ... that's your killer". Well, how to compose the murder scene? calling the police and texting Charles and Oliver so the police finds the trio besides the body!!! ... and what a better way to stay close to the investigation that finding a job at Cinda's podcast? (2) Initially Mabel thought Bunny had said "14 savage". Then she though he could have misheard and the true words were "14 passage", which pointed directly to Nina and her lover, McGregor, who would have escaped through the passage to Nina's apartment. But @Zanzibar said, what if Bunny said "forging savage"?, so the misheard word is the other one! This would make the painting the true motive of the crime! This post is already too long, I won't enter in the details of the murder sequence. So, to sum up. Killer: Luis. Motive: The painting, and also the artistic performance. Next episode is key. If Luis happens to appear again for whatever reason, you can bet he is the killer. On the other hand, If Nina and her lover reappear, I'll bet for them. In any other case ... I am kinda lost.
  20. Is Luis that "new sound guy"? is this the first episode for him to appear? Or was Luis Cinda's assistant before? That can change a lot of things ...
  21. We agree to disagree then. Anybody can rewatch 2x3 28:55 and form their own opinion.
  22. It is the combination of 2x3 and 1x10 what I think it is incoherent. We agree that Mabel going down for champagne and the killer knocking at Bunny's door both happen basically at the same time, based on 2x3. But 1x10 gives few more than 2 minutes (the time for Charles and Oliver to read the message and run down 2 floors and then to Mabel's apartment) for all of: the killer forcing Bunny into Mabel's apartment, the killer killing Bunny with the knife and the needle, the killer leaving the apartment, Mabel entering her apartment slowly, Mabel going to where Bunny was, Bunny saying "14" and "passage", Bunny dying .. and then Charles and Oliver arrive. I don't think it is possible. Yes, if we forget 1x10, then this is the most likely possibility.
  23. Because of the pics in this same thread. Firstly, I posted a pic where the masked character in the passage seems to be a chubby woman, with big hips. Somebody said she could be Amy Schumer. Later you posted a high quality pic and you said you think he is a man. But the pic is not whole body and the light distorts the hip. So I said "I don't know". But later I realized that the lips in your pic are very telling. At first I thought he/she would be a Black person. But after looking some random pics, I realized that black people usually have a big LOWER lip. But the person in the pic has a bigger upper lip. I thought of Mable, look for a pic of her with rounded open mouth and... bingo! Of course, all this is only speculation without spoilers ... just what is this thread for. If I were sure, I would post it under spoiler alert.
  24. It is two posts above my previous post. In my opinion, and I don't expect other people to agree, or even I don't expect to be correct, but, in my opinion, the lips are the best clue we have to know who is the masked character in the passage. So, what I think I know (from Lucy chapter) is: (1) Mabel is the masked character in the passage, and (2), at that same time, when the masked character is there and Lucy is also there and recording, we hear a woman shout (Bunny) and a PARROT. So we know that the masked character is at the passage while the killer is at Bunny's apartment. But Bunny is not killed at her own apartment. She is forced into Mabel's apartment and then killed there. And that takes time. Now, the time sequence HAS TO BE WRONG. According to episode 3, we see Mabel going down for champagne, and then right after that, we see the killer knocking at Bunny's door. But, according to season 1 episode 10, Mabel went for champagne and after only a few seconds we hear the sirens and Oliver and Charles receive the message... they run immediately and they find Mabel with Bunny already dead at Mabel's apartment. Impossible (even if Mabel is not the masked character, there is no time enough). So the screenwriters messed up the time of the scenes, either intentionally or, more likely I think, they just don't care. I don't expect to see a full explanation at the end of the season. Anyway, since It is impossible to make sense of the impossible, I just state what I think I know: Mabel is the masked character and she was in the passageways for some reason at some point that night.
