Well, Kristina is her father's daughter! Go to the chapel to beg God to help you out because you've done something wrong. Don't go to the people you've injured and beg forgiveness, because... why would anyone do that?
Perhaps if there was a chaplain in this hospital, they would tell Kristina to acknowledge her actions and turn herself in as part of her repentance.

Re: Books by Biden administration employees - There are always books written about administrations afterward. Some of them are just gossipy, but some are thoughtful and insightful. I'm positive that post-Trump 2, there are going to be a flood of books about it.
Near-contemporaneous accounts are valuable to historians, even if they aren't best-sellers. Otherwise, all we have to go by are news stories and personal recollections and both of those can be biased (for or against).

Several x today they said "Biden didn't drop out of the race on time".
As though it's ONLY his fault that we have Trump in the White House.....and all the crap T is doing.
Shut up, just shut up!!!!!!
Or fucking talk about all the good that Biden did, for a change.
The show hasn't aired here yet, but I can understand why people say this. As long as Biden was considered to be the de facto candidate, no other people were groomed or chosen for that position; even Kamala didn't seem to be well prepared to take it on, although in the end, she did as well as she could. If Biden had agreed not to run again earlier, there was an opportunity for the Democrats to come up with a candidate who could have given Trump a better challenge. So, it isn't ONLY Biden's fault that Trump won, but failing to drop out earlier limited the options for a viable candidate to be ready to run, so he does have some responsibility. Undoubtedly, there are plenty of behind-the-scenes people who contributed to this failure, but they are "nameless".

But really, how often do people have life-changing moments at a luxury resort over the course of a few days?
I haven't, but maybe the resorts I've stayed at were sub-luxury levels. :-)

Sonny doesn't like the coincidence of Sidwell working in Africa and the hitman for hire working "globally", including Africa - I know I'd be suspicious of two people possibly existing on the same continent at the same time! Sonny is no detective, for sure.

Audra McDonald in "Gypsy" - she's an iconic Broadway star, and Mama Rose is an iconic character. The musical is (apparently very loosely) based on Gypsy Rose Lee's life, but I'm guessing many people no longer even know who Gypsy Rose Lee was, let alone having an idea of how she looked IRL. The themes of ambition and mother/daughter/sibling conflicts are universal. Great that Audra McDonald has taken this on and is killing it!

So if someone can't navigate the SSA website, or the internet is not available, starting in two weeks they must visit the local SS office. At the same time SSA is planning on laying off 12% of the employees and closing or merging local offices.
I think the first part (being unable to validate ID online for whatever reason and having to go to an office) is not really different from the way it works now - you need validation to make certain changes, because without validation of identity, there's a potential for other people (unknown scammers or even greedy relatives) to make those changes to benefit themselves and steal your Soc. Sec. money. It is inconvenient to have to go to a local office, but better than losing your money.
The second part (cutbacks of employees) - is more difficult, as it can make it harder to get an appointment for an in-office visit in a reasonable time frame. It would be nice if those cutbacks are being planned after a good review of the current vs. anticipated office traffic, but there's a lack of transparency concerning how cuts are being determined. I would prefer it if government (state as well as federal) had websites available where they show the numbers supporting these changes - it is a pipe dream, I know.

The idea that the tankers are full of cocaine is not reasonable, for the reasons listed above, but as others have said, it seems possible that there are containers within the containers carrying drugs. Breaking Bad had something similar, although they were transporting meth in containers of fried chicken batter.
It doesn't seem likely that trucks leaving the U.S. would be carrying people, and the tankers of oil are clearly sourced in the U.S. Maybe on the return trip, they get refitted to smuggle humans, but I haven't figured out what the "cover" product would be.

Lochlan suddenly became more sexually aggressive than Saxon and more devout and dedicated than Piper.
I'm not dismissing your comment, but these are so contradictory, or at the very least, if Lochlan is now sexually awakened, it won't help him live in the monastery where (I'm assuming), celibacy is part of removing oneself from worldly desires.
Although, now that I think about it, maybe his experience with Chloe and Saxon scared him and now he's seeking a way to "undo" that. Living in a monastery might be just the thing.

Never mind - I was confusing the plots of Dancehall of the Dead and A Thief of Time.
I think that they've been mixing plot elements from multiple books. There was another series based on books (I can't recall which one at the moment) that also did this, with the idea that it would keep things interesting. They kept most of the main points and characters but didn't stick strictly to the books.

Others have already commented, but I'd add a couple things: Joy was first to bring it up and Whoopi agreed. I think they were referencing the proposal (or is it now in force?) to require SS recipients to visit the office in person when they need to make a change to their bank info, for instance. This can be very hard for those who have trouble leaving their homes. It seemed to me that Joy and Whoopi briefly referred to the SS office as the place where checks are sent from, which isn't true.
Based on the official Social Security site, you don't need to go to an office for most things, but you may need to go to prove your identity* in certain circumstances (quote below):
You do need to visit a Social Security office:
- if you start an application by telephone for Retirement, Survivors, or Auxiliary (Spouse or Child) benefits.
- if you use a paper application.
*It is a good thing that people have to prove their identity, to prevent scammers from stealing the benefits, which we know has been an ongoing problem for years. Perhaps a little inconvenience is worth it to ensure that the correct people receive their entitled benefits.

He knows they would kill him once they reach the rescue point, so why would he bring them there?
I may have missed this, but how the heck will anyone know to come pick up Kodi (Cody?) and his remaining client if the radio is broken? Was there an agreement to arrive back at a specific day and time?
If (as it seems inevitable) Kodi and Hannah aren't there when the plane arrives, won't there be lots of questions? Especially since there's no reason for the Yellowjackets to be aware that a plane would be arriving.

She was still correct in that some issues require an in person visit to the SSA office and with the threat of closures it will create hardships for people who are unable to travel distances. (Although I saw that the administration is backtracking on closures?) Still, staff cuts will create long wait times for help.
I had issues to talk with Soc. Sec. in person about during COVID - those were long wait times! There was a line outside the office and managed on a one-in, one-out basis. It was like a very dull, very boring line to get into a club. Only things missing were the cover charge and hand stamp!
10 hours ago, Soapy Goddess said:I thought the exact same thing. Maybe she was thinking about the unemployment office (you know, because they're both gov't run 😉). Regardless, for a supposedly smart woman, she sometimes says the dumbest things.
Even the unemployment offices don't require in-person visits the way they used to*. I don't think they are even called "Unemployment" offices anymore; I think it is now "Work Force". It's been a while for me, but I applied for unemployment in the 2000's, and just about everything could be done online, with the checks either mailed or direct deposited. They did offer in-office resources for job hunting, if you wanted, though.
*In the "old days", I had the opportunity to participate in the ritual visit to the Unemployment office with my paper log showing that I had applied for jobs during the week. It was like being interviewed by Customs officials every week.

Honestly, Rick and Frank/Sam Rockwell's undercover gig was majorly flawed since they didn't seem to do any kind of research of any kind, but I guess it worked well enough that Frank has fallen back off the wagon, so I'm sure fun times will be had!
How did they not even discuss the particulars of what Rick said? That was a pretty lame exercise, although Frank and Sritala (?) watching her old movie was great!
I was sad that Frank fell off the wagon, but he didn't stop with a couple of drinks - when he falls, he falls all the way! I was glad that Rick wasn't participating in the hotel hijinks, and I think he finally started to appreciate what Frank had told him about his previous way of life, happening right in front of him.

I didn’t understand the scene in the monastery with Piper and Lochlan: he said he wanted to stay and I expected her to laugh or say you wouldn’t like it, but she looked scared and ran out of the room. What was that about?
I thought that perhaps she wasn't enthusiastic because this was supposed to be "her thing", away from the rest of her family and experiencing things on her own. Then her brother says that he's thinking of doing the same thing, which makes it less special for her. She didn't want to tell him that, though, because it might hurt his feelings, so she looked uncomfortable and left.

Sonny: "I had a lot of conversations with God in this chapel." Me: They didn't seem to do any good, did they?
I think those conversations were very one-sided. I can't think of any time that Sonny returned to thank God for answering his prayers, and Sonny hasn't seen fit to change his ways, even when his requests (I don't think I would call them "prayers" or even "conversations") were met.

Even rationed sparingly, I can't see it lasting beyond what, a week and a half maybe? So Ben plus three teammates plus birders, goats, rabbits and ducks could get them to the finish line, although I'd guess they'd still be malnourished and starving.
If they made some kind of "Ben jerky" and supplemented with vegetation, that might last longer. I'm sure no one living wild off the land (even without the cannibalism) would look too well fed.
My question is why none of the girls seems to be questioning how they are doing things. Are they afraid they'll be next? Someone must have doubts about the supernatural, prophetic dreams being the way to survive and get home.

It was a little bit of a throwaway comment, but does Whoopi collect her Soc. Security checks at a Soc. Security office? Is that why she thinks that there's some way that people in wheelchairs won't be able to get their checks? I get mine through direct deposit, which got set up when I signed up. It seems to me that I recall that back in the day when people did go to the offices to get their checks that there were thieves who would pounce on those folks to steal the checks - not sure if that was closer to the SS office, or perhaps the bank, but whenever you have a routine that involves money, you are vulnerable to being robbed.
Nude parents: I'm with Whoopi, here - knock before you enter! It is common courtesy (a word that isn't much in vogue lately).

He should do that no matter what. Don't tell her to get back to Charlie's and sneak in through the back entrance. Kristina should be charged with attempted murder. It doesn't matter that Ric and Elizabeth weren't supposed to get hurt.
Tracy, your nephew is also in that crypt, but I guess he doesn't deserve a mention because he was fat.
(My emphasis above)
If Kristina had an ounce of self-awareness, she'd realize that she's more responsible for this accident and any repercussions than Ava was with the window fall. Just because the wrong person was injured, it doesn't mean you aren't guilty.
Also, Lucky should feel like an idiot for telling Kristina to flee the scene, now that he knows that she caused the accident that injured Elizabeth (and Ric, but I doubt that Lucky is too distraught about him).

But on the rare occasion someone does get behind the wheel, they can’t get from point A to B without first driving down some deserted country road. Preferably in the middle of the night.
I would love to see a map of this illogical wormhole of a town.
Haha! This is similar to a complaint I have about Grey's Anatomy, where they apparently think that downtown Seattle is surrounded by lightly populated wooded areas and winding country roads. On that show, driving from the airport to the hospital is a very iffy thing, not the highway drive that it is IRL.

Maybe he assumed the bodies had been removed. That’s what I would assume if I was asked to bulldoze a crypt! Upon learning there were still remains in there, he rightfully walked away.
This story is lame.
The story is lame and stretches credibility.
Anyway, I wonder if the worker also considered that someone as weaselly as the councilman (and Drew) would shift the blame onto the worker (or his company) for destroying remains if it all came out. Tracy would be sure to publicize it.

I guess NYC has everything. Online you can find "stab protection clothing", but nothing that stylish.
Apparently, some searches confuse "knife resistant" with "wrinkle resistant" for women's clothing. I wonder if that is because of the "knife edge pleats" on some skirts. Hmmm.

Ah, good point. I thought Kristen never believed, but maybe she did. I need a rewatch too.
The girls go to a parochial school though, I thought. Granted that some people who aren't Catholic choose those schools over public schools, but I had the impression at the beginning of the series that Kristin and Andy had at least a "Hallmark" relationship with the Church. I haven't gone back to check, though.

Or maybe just, "Oh, you're driving, well, never mind..."

Episode Discussion II: The TFGH
in General Hospital
How GH differs from real world!
Who would take responsibility for crushing a car, totaled or not, without contacting the owner or their representative? At the very least, the plates and registration and insurance card should be removed from the car. Knowing who owns it is one way that the tow company and/or storage place can get paid for their work - it isn't charity, after all. Still, good for Ava for investigating, now she needs to document. (I'm not a big Ava fan, but Kristina went waaaay too far with this).
Why hasn't Kai talked this over with his parents, at least? I get that he's anxious to get back to "normal", but there are lots of red flags here. At least see an orthopedic surgeon as Statsgirl suggested, because they would know more about the procedure and what is required than Trina's mom.
