I get teary-eyed every time I watch that commercial. And while I like Kermit, I absolutely LOVE Willie Nelson! Boy, that Coloooombian “marriage counselor” was a joke.

Ari’s parents’ expectations are way too high. Binyam would likely make less money than he does at the club with a full time job. Her mother was more accommodating when she was there before...either she has had more time to think about it, or her husband is influencing her, or it’s producer-driven drama. Probably a combination of all three!

It just seems that the cultural divide between Binyam and Ari (and by extension, her parents) is too wide. I agree with Dr. Weinberg, “they are heading for big, big trouble”... They were screwed from the start. It’s downright painful to watch.
