  1. Episode 16.06 - Clean Hands

It was like Mennonite Last Name Bingo this episode. 😂

Oh Watts. His scene with William was just heartbreaking. I want to give him a hug. Please bring him back soon, with some happiness in his life!!

    As for next week

    Spoiler

Are you F*CKING KIDDING ME??? What were we JUST complaining about?

Oddly William seemed to be hardly in the episode - I mean I know he was but it felt like he was on the edges somehow.

Yannick directed this one (and maybe the last one?), and I agree with you, he seemed very peripheral. I wonder if he's getting a little tired of Murdoch?

  3. Ep. 16.04 - Promising Young Ladies

Dang, a nudity warning on MM, for 2 seconds of naked butt?

Not a bad case. Knew it wasn't the wife, since they did that last week, and I knew it wouldn't be one of the burlesque dancers, and then as soon as Higgins found that article about the guy stripped naked in New York, I knew it would be the moral outrage guy and that they had pulled the same stunt on him.

Two weeks without Watts is enough. He better be in the next episode.

Lots of historical characters - I knew George's helper would turn out to be "someone" but I didn't pay enough attention to any clues of who he was - I figured it out just before the reveal thanks to George's remarks on changing the character name.

I was thinking it might be Stephen Leacock, but the actor was too young, and Leacock was extremely well known, if the current season is set in 1910.

the Watts/Jack ending (at least for now) - I want Watts back in Toronto but also want him happy in his own skin which he clearly is not

Same. I was actually quite worried that they were going to have Watts leave and stay in NYC with Jack and Samuel, so I was really happy when he left, but dang it, let Watts be happy!

Sister Michael? Don't remember her.  Yes, I am old.

Ah, sorry @Trey, I don't know if you want spoilers or not, but the character's name isn't Sister Michael. It's actually George's Aunt Oleander who stops the wedding, but she's played by the actress that played Sister Michael in Derry Girls. So you didn't forget anyone!

  7. 16.01 - Sometimes They Come Back (Part 1)

    Yay! Murdoch Mondays are back!

So Sister Michael was the one who stopped the wedding! 🤣 But how heartbreaking, as they seem to be preventing George from being happy for money? Hoping it all sorts out next week and George and Effie can finally get married. Love that William tried to cheer George up by offering a zombie case.

I can't say I'm all that interested by Mrs. Hart, her lousy husband and her father.

    Yay, Watts is back 🥰🥰

  8. Episode 15.24 - Close Encounters

Man, I was as freaked out as Julia when Frank Rhodes had Susanna.  She saved the day with the pelican!

I thought George and Effie's story was quite sweet. She showed him that she loves what a dork he is. Plus they solved a crime! I did not recognize Effie's ex-husband last episode, but then again, it was a tiresome Newsome episode, so I didn't pay attention.

With all the talk of George's ex-sweethearts last episode, I have to wonder if we're supposed to think it's one of them stopping the wedding. I wonder what Aunt Chrysanthemum's issue is.

What was up with Mrs. Hart and her husband? Was he insinuating that she killed him or does he think it was Ms. Bright? I'm a little disappointed with their relationship this season; the end of last season promised good things with regards to those two.

Oh Watts. Please please please say he's coming back.

I want someone fabulous for Watts. someone like Pree on Killjoys. Or Thom Allison's new role on Coroner.

I haven't watched either show, so I googled Thom Allison and just on a shallow basis, I completely agree!!!

I've always liked Brandon Barash but Jake has felt forced.  Today, he fit.  Maybe it's temporary, maybe it's being away from Gabi, I shudder to think it has anything to do with him being with Ava, even in a friend zone way, but he was kinda fun today.

One thing, though.  As much as I like Brandon Barash, his days of parading around shirtless are in the past and I wish Show would keep it that way.

As usual @boes, you speak my mind. I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

I'll join you in wanting to see less of gross Ben too. Not just shirtless; he can disappear right off the show and take Ciara with him.

A very jam-packed episode.  Almost too much going on.

Yes, agreed. I didn't pay a lot of attention to George's plot after a while, and I'm thoroughly confused about Mrs. Hart. It almost felt like leading up to a series finale, with all the callbacks. Hope not!

I think Effie’s Mother did not like the fact that George’s parents weren’t married. So she thinks George is not good enough for her daughter.

Also she seemed to like that Roger(?) guy that Effie used to see. Maybe she doesn't like that George is only a policeman, with "quirky" interests like her husband.

I liked paranoid William, but it did seem very over-the-top, like a fever dream as @Grundoon59 said.

I still can't believe they left me with that cliffhanger. Though I should be grateful it wasn't the season ender...I wouldn't last all summer worrying about my poor Watts.

  11. 15.22 - Sweet Amelia

Nnnn. Almost skipped this one, Amelia irritates me this much. But holy eff, that was a twist. Still glad Effie got to smack someone that looks like Amelia. Can we please stop putting George in danger from crazy women, though? The poor man has suffered enough! Please let George and Effie get married happily and without incident!

Holy eff again, for Margaret! I knew Charlie was bad news the whole time. I'm glad they convinced Bobby to come home and face it like a man. I flipped when Margaret got shot though; I love her to death.

I've never been a big fan of baby storylines but William reading the scientific names of animals to Susanna was just adorable.

Swear to god, this show needs to stop dicking my poor Watts around! LET. WATTS. BE. HAPPY.

  12. Episode 15.20 - Devil Music

Aww. Welcome to the world, Ms. Susanna Murdoch.

I cracked up at Geddy's cameo, plus all the Rush references.

Good case tonight. I enjoyed George, Brackenreid and Leadbelly going on the recreation of the night, and how all the things he said when he was hypnotised made sense once you saw them. Love that George bonded with Leadbelly; he's such a sweetie.

Damn, Mrs. Hart, trying to get Miss Bright out of the way? Cold.

    Green isn't your colour, Watts.

    Next week: ugh

    Spoiler

not Amelia again. I hope Effie knocks her block off.

  13. Episode 15.19 - Pendrick's Planetary Parlour

I mean, of all the absurd things Murdoch Mysteries "invents" ahead of their time, the internet is certainly a choice.  But it's James Pendrick and even though absurd is what he does, he just makes it so fun. Peter Stebbings is probably my favourite recurring guest star for this reason. At least they stopped accusing him of all the murders; one of these days, he's going to actually kill someone and get away with it, since it's never Pendrick 😂.

Not enough Murdoch geeking out though; those are my favourite parts about Pendrick episodes, how childishly gleeful he gets over the silly things Pendrick does.  Also how put out he gets when Pendrick pays attention to someone else in the station house and offers them jobs out of nowhere lol. I'm with Murdoch though; no one wants to read books on a computer/phone/tablet 🤣.

Knew Trent was the killer. The money guy surrounded by computer nerds? Big giveaway there. I find it funny that he accused Pendrick about not caring about profits, when OG James Pendrick was very much about the money as well as the science.

George is back! I was a little worried that he would actually leave but yay, he's staying AND he's getting promoted, AND has the possibility of being detective one day! But it doesn't matter how high he goes, he'll never be able to call Murdoch "William"". He did wonderful work this episode, and I liked how he worked with the programming lady to help solve the case.

Not enough Watts, but what we got was enough for me.

I feel like the Bobby Brackenreid resolution will be season finale stuff. But hopefully Margaret gets some peace.

    Next week:

    Spoiler

Is it baby time already? Also, was that Geddy Lee? 😂😂😂

John, Leo isn't a boy.  He's a man.  A man within blinking distance of his very own AARP card.  He's a loathsome little turd with a rap sheet scarier than Nancy's wig and he's not done yet.  Leo has changed just as much as Bonnie has, which means all tell and no show.

I love you, @boes. I'd forgotten how much I hated that supercilious twerp until today, and it all came rushing back the second I saw his face.

I think I hate him more than Jake.

  15. Episode 15.18 - Brother Can You Spare a Crime?

Another enjoyable episode, although the case was a little boring. I called it being the brother, but I figured he found out Opal was giving the camp folks money/food and got pissed off.  Sad how it actually happened, and wow that they were willing to keep the truth a secret after their father killed Morris. More of Watts and Murdoch working together please!

Ah Brackenreid. Liked him sticking up for the waitress but yeah, it's going to cost more if she and the rest of the staff are getting paid a living wage. And it was nice they showed how close many people are to being unhoused, even with a full-time job.

Margaret gets to be awesome again. I liked that she was able to help the baby and the mother, and that she was able to reassure Julia that no one is born with motherhood knowledge, it's something that has to be learned.

Damn it, LET WATTS BE HAPPY 🤬🤬.

    Next week:

    Spoiler

JAMES PENDRICK!!!! God I love him. Fingers crossed that he interacts with Watts; I think my heart would explode with happiness.
