  1. Just my opinion of course, but I think any show/spinoff without Sheldon would be destined to fail.
  2. Well, this corner of the franchise seems to have potential. I barely made it through BDM last season. I didn't watch WWHN tonight, but I did see Fraser allude to the fact that Capt. Kerry will have some "trouble" this year. Could be a scratched boat bum. We'll have to see. You know Bravo....could be somethin'...could be nuthin'. Looks like Barbie will be a brat, Scottish Kyle may get bounced for drinking (saw preview of upcoming episode) and Jared will be the possible incompetant bosun/captain. Seems to be ticking off Kerry already. Time will tell. Let's get this party started 🤩
  3. Yes the kind of person that when near, drains the life out of you.
  4. I thought she looked pretty hot...I don't get out much <sigh>
  5. OMG... Kyle has deluded himself to the point of thinking he got his emotions 'under control' when his wakeup call from Sandy came in?? Let's reverse the tape a bit to when he was crying in front of the restaurant bartender and Tumi because nobody told him that Natalia was visiting! He needs medication.
  6. Can you imagine the reaction to Max saying "no" and walking away if it had been Captain Lee? 😤
  7. From now on Jack is restricted to Shepherds Pie and Bangors and Mash
  8. Kyle now officially makes me ill. And, i'll bet he's got one more injury and cry left in him.
  9. I hated almost everything about the show. Of course I'll be there on Jan 04 glued to the tube too. 🤣
  10. Will the wedding on Jan. 04 be legal or just for show?
  11. I would have given anything to be a fly on the wall for that one. You made me create a scenario in my mind and also caused me to send fizzy root beer up my nasal cavity! Sort of a Zorro thing maybe? Y'er killin' me!! 😝 🤣 🤩
  12. I think the slide should be requested at the time of booking....or you don't get it. 😝
  13. As someone who has spent 32 years in the advertising industry, none of this surprises me. Although they get caught off guard at times, the producers of these types of shows are well aware of most everything about Gerry. The bottom line is ratings and money. Like Liam Neeson in the movie "Taken," they "have aquired a very particular set of skills over a very long career." They can roll with almost anything and turn lemons to lemonade. I wouldn't be shocked if the timing of the release of this article was planned down to the hour it dropped. It wont rival the end episode of MASH, but i'll wager everyone at the top will be pleased with the outcome.
  14. I'm not so sure Gerry is obsessed with earning potential in a mate. I think he just really likes Teresas vibe.
  15. With these types of “reality” shows my rule of thumb is to look at the person they hint might be the one…then pick the other. 😆
  16. He lost me when he said something like not understanding how anyone could enjoy breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I would be very disappointed as a primary if he were my chef. Five star service means creating and sometimes going over the top...and yes Jack, that includes an eleborate breakfast now and then.
  17. Mid 60's here....I find myself hoping they both have good brushing and flossing regimens.
  18. I found Joan's comment interesting. Wasn't quite sure what she meant by invisible though. One thing that hit a resonant chord with me is the fact that when I entered my 60's, I definitely found that certain people were not taking me as seriously. Younger sales clerks and medical staff etc. The best descriptor would be "dismissive." I'm certainly not painting them all with a broad brush, but a small percentage certainly did. When did I become "that old guy" not to be taken seriously? LOL. I predict that Gerry will not "knock boots" with either of the women during fantasy suite time. This will ensure that he doesn't disrespect the woman that he does not choose, as well as the one he does. I also think he will pick Theresa as his #1, but not for the usual reasons. I don't think he's looking for marriage but a relationship companion. He "loves" Theresa IMO for two reasons. One, he loved her consideration and laying on of her hands while all nervous about driving. My wife does this to me and it's amazingly therapeutic in a very basic human way. Two, he loves petite women. Why? Just a guess really but I keep thinking that whenever I see him look at her. Kathy even said something like "you could put five of her shirts in a small bag" 😀
  19. Remember the Russian chef that couldn’t cook? She would have dredged the cheddar in flour to “fool” everyone.
  20. I'm sure a lot of the "I love you's" etc. may have been egged on by the producers, but there is another side of the coin that many of our younger posters here might like to consider. I'm in my mid 60's now and I woke up one day to the realization that I may not be here for much longer. So the "someday I'll do this" changes to "shit, I'd better get on this if I want it to happen". We have no guarantee of a super long life. I wasted a lot of time wanting to travel and see the world. Now I'm scrambling to do just that. Luckily I'm in pretty good health, but one never knows what tomorrow may bring. Older people have experienced what they want and have suffered loss and have gained a certain level of experience. They just don't have the luxury of time as younger people do. Maybe this could help explain their sense of urgency sometimes?
  21. Although some kissing may be spontaneous, I think a majority of it is requested by the production staff. Can you hear it, "OK Gerry, the suns just about set, can we get the kiss shot and then we'll do the dinner scenes."
  22. Next week, Roy Orbison Junior for the 3rd time…oh no! I said it before and will again, his behavior on BDM is an embarrassment to his father’s musical legacy. 🙂 Who gets fired next? Max? Certainly asking for it. Natalya’s boyfriend is an ass. Wants to spread his seed but gaslights her with guilt so she won’t fool around. Manipulative little prick.
  23. Natalya seemed like she wanted Tumi to compliment her on what a great job she did “holding the fort.” Probably insulted when that didn’t happen. They both could have handled it more gracefully. I seem to remember Sandy asking Natalya if she could handle stepping down when the time came. Apparently harder to do when the time came. Tumi didn't help the situation much either. I think her Mom had some very strong opinions about being taken advantage of and passed them onto Tumi. Everyone needs to take it down a notch.
  24. He was on the talk show afterwards and was grinning ear to ear about what he had accomplished so far. As you said, he knows exactly what Bravo wants from him and is willing to dish it up plenty.
