Only Murders in the Building Media
KayVeeTeeVee replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Only Murders In The Building
I've been watching season one on ABC and was looking forward to the Finale. ABC decided to break in multiple times to report results from the New Hampshire primary race. Where can I watch it in full. Please be kind to an old lady who is not technically savvy. ;) -
Kids Baking Championship - General Discussion

All the mini chefs were adorable, and likeable. And they ALL said MASS car pone, for which I gave them an A+. Loved the second hour! Wish they'd bring back some of the veterans to judge. -
Holiday Baking Championship - General Discussion

Well, that was shocking! Hers really was the most completely decorated, and the lemon pie interior sounded fantastic. I'd like to suggest that at least one (but I wish it was all) of the challenges next year feature the same elements for every baker. No jostling for a choice. Even Steven throughout. Does anyone know Steven? -
nuLuLu should be OG Lulu, kickin' butts and takin' names, not girl reporter with NO experience.

Mika would not let him wiggle out of his stupid, inaccurate argument. Mika did good! Who needs Joe.

Unsellable Houses - General Discussion

Watched both new episodes - hadn't bargained for two hours - and liked them both, but the sisters' clowning is getting to be too much, as is the phrase 'You guys' which, if I took a drink every time they said it, I'd be drunk before the second hour. And if I hear Leslie say, "You guyses" again, well, I'll need to be drunk to continue watching. Lose the phase, ladies. Please. I'm begging. -
One Brawl in the summer is plenty for me.

The show is always smooth and interesting when the wonder twins are away. WHY do they get so much money and so much time off?
-
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but will someone please get Mika a pastel sweater. The entire country is sweltering in a climate crisis-induced (yeah, I said it) HEAT WAVE. We don't need to see her in a black winter sweater. Even Jen Palmeri was dressed in black. Maybe it's to honor the late J. Robert Oppenheimer?

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I have enjoyed several Carly-free episodes in a row. Felicia, Mac, Lucy, Martin, Tracy, Gregory, Alexis, Jackson, Cyrus . . . these original superstars can carry the show all summer! And yes, I've excluded several names on purpose.

Sad news about the death of Andrea Evans from OLTL got me thinking. How about Alexis hire Cord Roberts who was a photographer for The Banner! He could be a love interest for Alexis or Kristina . . . Does he still act?

This mess is what happens when Frank lets actors dictate story lines. Maurice apparently wanted Nixon Falls and to work with Cynthia. Laura wanted to work with CamMat and to accommodate her wishes, we got an entirely new Drew. Billy Miller's Drew would NEVER, EVER put Carly before Scout. Please, soap gods, send Carly and Sonny away for six months. I think I speak for others when I say we all need a break. Nothing against any of the actors, but geez! I don't need to see Carly EVERY DARN DAY, butting her way into all the story lines. Have her a moss take a vacation. Jail, looney bin, Florida with soaring cliffs . . .

Who remembers when Mac and Kevin dressed as nuns to infiltrate? A convent?
-
Oh, no! I missed it! Thanks for telling me.

Remember Lulu Spencer, girl reporter? Don't put her/that back into the Universe! But another character working at The Invader? Someone with a real interest in journalism, a character that has morals and ethics. I'm all for that! Oh, wait. It would have to be someone new!

Rachel Ames (Gran) isn't mentioned much (at all) any more. Even Cam didn't say, "I stopped at Gran's to give her a kiss goodbye" when he left for college. What a slap in the face to Audrey HARDY. Elizabeth didn't even mention that her Gran, another Hardy, had been Head Nurse way back when. It's not to late, GH! Rachel is still with us - in fact, she's only 92.

Michael and his stupid slack-jaw face, mouth always hanging open, needs to crawl back into Mommy's womb. Let's see. He never went to college, but has run an international company 'for the past ten years' according to Carly. That would make him at least in his 30s, while Snarly is only a young 50 something. Okay, then. I wonder if Michael goes into business meetings with that horrible attitude and face. And don't even get me started on his entitlement issues. Okay, now I need to step outside and breathe.

Olivia needs to be OFF my screen entirely. Forever. And definitely not ever with RobertFuckingScorpio!

Summer Baking Championship - General Discussion
KayVeeTeeVee replied to RealityCheck's topic in Summer Baking Championship
I would prefer to watch a show that gives ALL of the contestants the SAME ingredients/choices. No running for favorite or dreaded choices. And for the record, its pronounced KONK erd, not CON CORDE grapes, explains someone who lives next to Concord, Massachusetts. That KONK erd, Massachusetts.- 570 replies

Summer Baking Championship - General Discussion

Lots of folks like watermelon and feta. Not me, but lots! :) -
After the show, I was channel surfing and landed, for a moment, in the middle of a Beat Bobby Flay show. The first two contestants had just presented their dishes to the hosts, who chose the man on the left to go against Flay. The loser of the preheat looked SO familiar, but I couldn't place her. I pressed the Info button on my clicker and guess who it was? Natalia! She didn't even make it past the first round to challenge Flay.

Anyone think this is hyperbole? Last year, a friend's daughter, who teaches First or Second grade, featured Black History Month on the Bulletin Board. A parent complained, the issue escalated to include harassing phone calls to the teacher and her extended family until she broke and resigned. And this happened in a tony town, right outside of Blue Boston.

Bye, bye, Cory. Please don't ever apply for another of the Food Network show. Your overconfidence (arrogance) was not pleasant to watch. And yes, you deserved to go home. I'm pretty certain that Alex and Gabe said early on that the bites should be able to be eaten with one hand, not a fork.
