  1. If we must err, best to err on the side of politeness. As the other poster said, if they get bent out of shape over it, that's on them. Your husband sounds like a nice man.
  2. Yeah. Did I miss something?
  3. I think that's what Walnutqueen was referencing with the diaper comment. That chick was a whackadoo. We are completely off-topic. Lol I'm so glad they didn't end the season with this episode. I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.
  4. Oooh. I have some old Steeley Dan on 8-track. Can I come too?
  5. I just watched the show again yesterday with the husband that I adore. Of course I can't remember their names or location. He was very deadpan and extremely funny. He wanted an unusual home. I believe he said he wanted a moat. He said a fireplace in one home "tickled his fancy" and about a bush in back of the house he said "I could do things like...sit under it" (the bush was a bout 2 feet tall). Hee. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? Eta: It was Jeff from Denver.
  6. Really! At your age? Still in diapers? What is wrong with your parents?
  7. Awww Walnutqueen, binge-watching The Wire and then reading this forum will make anyone stabby. It's best not to mix the two. Like a fine wine and rot-gut moonshine. Happy New Year to you! If you're like me, you are very happy the holidays are gone for another year.
  8. You as well!
  9. I wonder what caused your fear? Do you remember anything? Children aren't born with a fear of water. We are floating around in it for 9 months before we're born. When I was young, about 5 or 6 my dad took me out on a boat in the middle of the lake, and threw me in. Sink or swim. I swam. That's the way all the kids in my family learned how to swim, and we all ended up loving the water like fish.
  10. I also believe it is ingrained. I was also extremely orderly as a very young child. I took very good care of my books, toys and all of my things. Many of which I still have to this day. No rips or writing on the pages of the books, and no pieces missing from the games or puzzles. My daughter is completely the opposite. No amount of teaching or nagging could get her to care for her stuff. It drove me nuts!!
  11. I have always wondered too what the rest of the house looks like. The bathrooms, bedrooms etc. What's the sense in having a nice living room, dining room and kitchen if the rest of the place is a dump? ETA: There is no need to get up your nerve to post here. There are NO stupid questions, and we are a pretty friendly lot. Welcome!
  12. It is soothing. I just did all my dresser drawers and put in some fresh sachets. Chaos gives me extreme anxiety, when I'm done organizing I can breath again.
  13. Plus Will calls his father Ba Ba and his Grandmother Ni Ni.
  14. I hate when adults make messes too. I hate it even worse when they leave it there.
  15. That's just Jen. Her family laughed it off like they're used to it. Jen took their ribbing in stride. Healthy family dynamics.
  16. Who knows? Maybe they had already retucked his shirt 5 times that day, and finally just gave up.
  17. Yeah. I don't think Will is bad either. I think he's naughty. Lol
  18. I love how when will sneaks food, he sneaks some for Zoey too. At least he isn't selfish with his ill-gotten gains. Lol/ The poster said that Will was "being" bad, not that he "is" bad.
  19. I agree. Why do they need to tell them something they already know? I'm confused. Also, when they meet people they tell them in front of the kids Will is from China and Zoey is from India, they aren't secretive about it. All they did for months was talk to Will about getting Zoey from India. And all the kids have to do is look in a mirror, and then look at their parents. The Arnold-Kleins are questioned about enough things, this shouldn't be one of them.
  20. I think it would be great for Jen and Bill to show Will and Zoey the episodes of the show dealing with their adoptions. The kids are so lucky to have those shows to watch over and over as they get older.
  21. Wow, who really cares if they're actors or what they are? I know a lot of people think they are really a real estate agent and general contractor. My mother is one of them, and I would never want to spoil her fun by putting a disclaimer before the show that says they're just actors. Who the hell cares?
  22. I know they are identical twins, but they looks less alike than any identical twins I've ever known. I have would no problem telling them apart even if they switched clothes. Jonathon's are eyes are bigger than Drew's. I like J better. Someone in another thread quoted Drew as saying that if we was down to his last $50, he would spend it on PR. That turned me off.
  23. I understood it. Foghorn
  24. I agree. Every hospital should have one of those simulators. It would save a lot of lives.
  25. It is beautiful here. The trade-off is that we have 2 seasons. Hotter than hell, and colder than a mother*****. Heh
