  1. Applebee's commercial for cross-cut ribs makes me cringe - I don't want to see people eating sauce covered bits o' meat with their hands! If they are boneless, as evidenced by the diners being able to tear them apart, use a frickin' fork & knife!
  2. Kenny is the male nurse who told the intern the labs were ready and to look at them. Paul is the intern who fucked up. I had to go to IMDB to look it up because I don't have people straight yet. And Krista, the other intern, got to appear for about 10 seconds this ep. I did like her scenes with Drew - they felt good natured and friendly. I second or third or whatever count we are on all the Drew love. He is almost a different show within a show. And a better one too. Ken Leung is all kinds of awesome too - his expressions are priceless. The thing is, Ragosa did look at the bottle so either he can't read or they weren't in the right bottle. Either way, Ragosa needs to drag himself and her to Legal and report them both for being incompetent. I missed the Angry Little Onion this ep. And HO walking out with his little present at the end when she's macking on her boyfriend - so very poignant. I'm surprised they didn't show him wiping away a little tiny tear! And I love how boyfriend's car is parked in what is probably a restricted zone at the hospital - you can see a parked ambulance right there, but no worry! You're a doctor - park anywhere!
  3. I'm actually looking forward to the show - I am hoping it is woefully awful for my perverse viewing pleasure.
  4. Speaking from days of yore, being drunk in no way prevents you from driving an ATV. The eventual crash you get into while doing so generally does...My drunken crash was because I was a stupid kid (probably 14, maybe 15) who didn't know how to drive an ATV or anything else. And her telling him to stop being a dick. Maybe next week she'll tell him to "suck it up". The highlight was really Topher and that little girl. I was sad they didn't close with a scene of Angry Lil Onion's Manpain. Contrary to the rest of the general population, you can work at a high pressure job in the night shift and look as attractive at the end of your shift as you do starting it. Compared to some of the new summer shows coming I saw in the commercials, Night Shift might turn out to be Shakespearean.
  5. Tragic Consequences is clearly a drama surgeon (or sturgeon).
  6. I love this show - even if an ep is not-quite-as-good as a prior one, it still pretty much beats 99% of what else is on tv. Derrick being a member of Soup Enthusiast cracked me up and was totally unexpected, so good job Show! Randy being the ape in a live action Donkey Kong is all kinds of funny. I was familiar with Parker Young (Randy) from Suburgatory, but unfamiliar with the other two brothers other than "he's kinda familiar". Lead me to check out The Finder (on Netflix) with Geoff Stults which, based on 1 ep, was amusing.
  7. I saw Funches and a couple of the other guys who are not D'Elia on @Midnight and they were highly amusing, but D'Elia is just not doing it for me. He has none of the charm nor appeal that Danny is reputed to have. As much as I like Funches and was looking forward to the rest of the cast based on @Midnight, DDanny/D'Elia is just sucking the potential out of this for me. S*N*I*F*F* - Funches....please go to a show I can watch.
  8. Now I want a modern version of Klinger to show up.
  9. Get that cat outta here! This show is going to provide so many opportunities for The Man with the Two Brains dialogue. If only they have a scene where I can work in "I can't f*** a gorilla!" Considering there's 13 actual hospitals in San Antonio proper, it is a mystery. I think I'll go with coconut water and pineapple juice (maybe mango nectar if I am feeling really crazy). I think a bonus shot should be taken every closing scene of Ragosa Manpain. Sandman - Angry little onion amused me greatly. I'll need to find a reason to use that IRL.
  10. Would have been more amusing if this wasn't already done by Izzy in Season 1 of Grey's Anatomy, although it was her breasticles and bra that she put on display. Even in the ER, don't they wear scrubhats if they are cutting someone's heart open? At least the female staffers were shown to have their hair tied back in a ponytail... Didn't they close ep 1 with Freddy Rodriguez and an oh-so-poignant reveal? And unless family court has specifically limited your contact or severed your parental rights, the Mom can't legally cut off contact between him and his kids. He needs to contact the San Antonio branch office of McKenzie, Brackman, Chaney and Kuzak - their LA office handled a wide array of legal matters and had good hair. Maybe Arnie Becker or Victor Sifuentes can be the senior partner. Dr. Harley O'Smolder (totally stolen, so thanks to Tara came up with that) had crazy eyes in some scenes. Couldn't decide if it was acting or accidental. Night Shift is falling into the "so bad it's good" classification for me right now. ETA: To give credit where credit is due and to remove unnecessary vowelage.
  11. Never underestimate the power of quality hair & staff attractiveness on patient satisfaction. I was in the hospital for 7 weeks in 2007 and I think the well worn path leading to my room by my friends and co-workers was predicated on the oh-so-smokin' doctor I had. Unfortunately, I was too far out of it for it to even register this.
  12. I'd go with the "It's not your job to diagnose!" as a Man with Two Brains call out. My guess would be they hit the nearest watering hole if it were real life (silly silly me!). Openly drinking on work is never going to cut it, even for the actuaries of the world (since they are so concerned with insurance in the Show). But for medical staff who might be sucked back into an emergency? Nah. Texas is a big ass state (geographically speaking), so I hope they are careful about stuff like that.
  13. Satan's Easy-Bake - ha! The fact that this show can take some extremely juvenile stuff and make me snarffle is awesome. At some point in your maturity, a guy getting hit in the junk should not be funny and, to my credit, it normally isn't. But Enlisted turns it to something funny.
  14. The new ep airing tonight is on at 6 PM Central which caught me by surprise. Don't remember if it ran at 7 or 8 Central before, but nothing comes on at 6 PM! Check your local times.
  15. Unwatchable despite the presence of Funches.
  16. Apparently it is per The Straight Dope, but you shouldn't try this at home kids. Freddy Rodriguez must have inherited Ralph Macchio's Dorian Gray picture because he's 39. Ralph Macchio finally had the grace to age a wee bit (he was born in 1961) so maybe they are sharing it.
  17. Anyone know if it will be re-airing? My cable only has a couple eps on On Demand and I am without a DVR.
  18. It's got loads of pretty and it might fall into the So Bad it's Good category, so potential. I'll give them a few eps to find the balance because drama/comedy is a tough note to hit. Plus, Ken Leung will keep me around...and his name is Topher which I find endlessly amusing.
  19. Is there an expectation of privacy once something has been posted on YouTube? Serious question because I would assume that there wouldn't be. Of course, legal reality aside would need to be trampled for dramatic license.
  20. Asian don't raisin. Not sure if it is less racist, but I heard either Lucy Liu or Ming-Na say it on a late night talk show recently. I hadn't heard the phrase in years before that. But Grace Park is 40, Lucy Liu is 45 and Ming-Na is 50 so I'm thinking there's some truth in there. As half asian, I'm hoping.
  21. We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious! I just got what the "incentive" package was - D'Oh! I don't think your professional assassins working for a government(ish) agency are supposed to blatantly enjoy their work. We got the Ward backstory to allow the viewers to feel sympathy for him when his redemption arc starts, but at this point I only have a crumb of it for him and that's for having an abusive childhood. So far they have shown him to have had some level of choice since Garrett sprung him from juvie. He had 6 months on his own to make his way out of the backwoods but he choose to stay put. I think it was 5 years after the demise of Buddy the lab that Garrett said he got him into SHIELD. Given Garrett was an active SHIELD Agent, I would imagine that a lot of that time he was out and about doing SHIELD business so Ward would not have been under his thumb the whole time and could have choose to separate himself from Garrett. I would have preferred if Ward was independently evil and not dependently evil. He did get a lot more interesting when they started that.
  22. Totally agree about Deacon & Teddy, but then they had to have Teddy casting the death glare at the end. Ugh. I was very happy wiith a mostly Scarlette Free episode, but they are just toying me with the line that she's leaving Nashville.
  23. He did a great job as Ryan on Suburgatory too. Ryan was just a very pretty, very crude, very very dim jock, but he ended up being surpringly endearing without the writer's severely retconning the character. I give Parker Young full credit.
  24. But it is a choice to drink knowing you have an addiction. Between Deacon, Teddy & Rayna there is plent of dumbassery, but Deacon is the most likeable out of all three and damn! C Easten can handle the dramatic scenes. The cheesy sixties montage is a perfect description! And snarling singing Scarlet was painful - ugh. Her mom, whatever her name is, is a nasty piece of work though.
