  1. I wonder if Sunny was like this all along and we were blind to the pontifications because she regularly put Meghan in her place. Now that Meghan is gone and the discussions are more leveled and nuanced, Sunny is exposing herself to be the unreasonable person in the panel.
  2. Sunny has been so disappointing this season. She seems extremely judgmental and has unrealistic expectations of people. I'm noticing this week after week. She must have been one tough prosecutor. She expects Biden to work miracles after inheriting an absolute disaster from all fronts less than a year ago. Does she not realize that he has only 48 true Democratic senators supporting his plans? She keeps attacking him on immigration but she ignores that he was court ordered to reinstate the Stay-in-Mexico policy. She also ignores the fact that most of the Haitian migrants at the border, as heartbreaking as it was to watch, will not be granted asylum because they were already residents of other countries. She was usually spot on before, but her takes are now questionable at best. I wonder if something is going on with her.
  3. Meghan, the supposed political expert, is suggesting that Amy McGrath count on in-state money (in Kentucky of all places) to win an election against swampy dark money Mitch McConnell??! She must think we are fools!
  4. Meghan always fails with her gotcha interview questions. The gotcha question about the cousins is another failure. I think she needs to do a bit more research before formulating her questions. Mary Trump's book is about the life Donald and her own father had growing up, and how they were shaped by their own father's troubling persona. She clearly distanced herself from the family as her cousins were growing up so I don't see how her closeness with them is relevant. Mary Trump's book refers to an entirely different generation of Trumps. Meghan tried to hang on to Mary's response to Joy's question about her cousins, but Meghan clearly misunderstood the context. Joy didn't mean to imply that Mary would have intimate knowledge about her cousins' lives, but rather wanted Mary to provide insight on how she thought their lives were likely shaped by the family legacy. I think Mary's refusal to opine about her cousins only adds credibility to her account.
  5. IN TOUCH WEEKLY Interviews BRETT AND OLIVIA: https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/who-are-brett-and-olivia-from-married-at-first-sight-meet-the-couple/ Olivia and Brett both have “no regrets” following their experience on the show. “I own my mistakes and use them as lessons about how to be a better person,” Brett added. “I wasn’t always comfortable, but I’m walking away with an important experience.” 🙄
  6. IN TOUCH WEEKLY interviews Bennett and Amelia https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/who-are-bennett-and-amelia-on-married-at-first-sight-season-11/ “She’s a hoot,” Bennett gushes. “I wanted to be with someone who could make me laugh but also listen and share space with others. My ideal match would show me new sides of the world, while challenging me to unpack and investigate my own assumptions. I absolutely recognized these traits in my new partner.” 🥰 Sounds like these two might make it!
  7. IN TOUCH WEEKLY interviews with Christina and Henry https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/who-are-henry-and-christina-on-married-at-first-sight-season-11/?fbclid=IwAR23jsE53hRjjfS3nOfwwy-KKaGJdqXKrVatGfdFbdkT-XSf-mKSfdd2xWc Though she says Henry usually meets that description, there were times his set-in-his-ways attitude came off as “dismissive” and difficult. “He was very routine, which is a small fraction of the stability that I asked for. I love to travel and be spontaneous sometimes and it’s important to me that I’m not the only one in the relationship creating spontaneity and fun,” OUCH, not looking good for these two.
  8. Bennett - As sweet and charming as Bennett is, I think his schtick may get old fast. A man who only owns 1 pair of socks without holes doesn't inspire much confidence to be a stay-at-home parent. Woody - These folks were married right before the lockdowns started. Imagine trying to quarantine Woody. It may prove too much even for the strongest woman. Henry - He said he has a calm demeanor because he has been through a lot. Christine is lucky to be matched with him because she seems like the kind of person who will throw stones and then hide her hand. I can see her easily picking fights and then acting like the victim. Matching her with a hot-headed man would have been a recipe for disaster.
  9. I didn't get the gay vibe per se, but it did cross my mind that Karen's disappointment about him being "too emotional" was actually about him being too feminine. I also find it a bit concerning that a good looking outgoing 26 year old goes on MAFS. I'm sure he can easily find a young lady in one of his social circles. MAFS typically attracts folks in their 30s or those who have had multiple relationship failures in the past. As much as I love Miles, something is a bit off about his story.
  10. The thing I find most infuriating about this show is Whoopi taking up precious time with her incoherent ramblings. Every minute she takes up speaking, Sunny or Joy could have said something consequential to refute Meghan's ridiculous statements.
  11. Christina better not hurt Henry, he seems like a great guy. The guy's self esteem is already low and she seems very demanding. They should matched him with someone with a sweeter disposition, like a Sonia from Miami.
  12. That is an interesting perspective that I had not previously considered. Add to that, the fact that society does not stigmatize older men with younger women so these men can fool around for decades (all their 20s and 30s) and then "settle down" when they are tired of it.
  13. Christina might want that male stripper back once she sees that sweet boy Henry is her husband. He might have a shot if he gets some Crest White Strips, exotic flowers and makes intense eye contact with her.
  14. That might be an inflated title. Their income disparity is sufficiently high that the experts mentioned it in their matchmaking special. I don't think they would have said anything if he was earning six figures. I remember he said he worked for local government, would that mean he earns more or less than in the private sector? Brett also mentioned not being able to afford nice clothing after the tux shopping.
  15. Don't forget to add unattractive to the description of Brett. I'm not one to make fun of people's looks but when they are so shallow and cocky they deserve some ridicule. The fact that he thinks he is such a catch is hilarious considering he is the most unattractive groom (by far) this season.
  16. That is assuming Olivia knows that he is mainly interested in her money, she didn't see the side of him we saw. He may put on a show for her for all we know. However, I'm holding on to the faint hope that he is just acting up for the cameras, and will realize she is a great catch and will treat her how she deserves.
  17. Karen and Miles Unlike Jamie's dramatic (perhaps theatrical) initial impressions about Doug, Karen's dissapointment appeared genuine and troubling. I don't see how a woman can overcome a perception that a man is "too emotional." I also have trouble with her comments altogether. What can possibly be "too emotional" about an instagram post? Did he film himself crying? Or was he simply posting inspirational quotes? If it's the latter, then I don't see much hope for this couple. She may perceive his emotional maturity as a weakness or immaturity, especially considering that he is younger than her. Karen may be attracted to a more stoic personality that in her view offers her a sense of security and stability. Perhaps she is trying to find a man that emulates her own father. She may be jaded after being in a long-term relationship with a man who fathered a child with another woman. Out of all the folks on this show, Miles is the one I'm most concerned about getting divorced. He is so young and positive that I think a divorce may become jaded for future relationships. Christina and Henry Henry seems like the best husband material this season. He is attractive in an old-school way, like a man from another era. He even dresses like a married man! His ticks and general uneasiness when speaking can be offputting for many women. I hope Christina is not one of those women. Christina describes herself as a "party girl" and wishes that she and her husband are the couple that people are happy to see show up (see Kickoff show if you missed it). She is the exact opposite. She comes off as awkward herself, with some serious social anxiety and uncomfortable bluntness. Dr. Viviana did say that they both have a dry sense of humor, so he may appreciate her personality. I can see them working out if his calm demeanor helps her with her anxiety and she appreciates him for who he is. Amani and Woody My initial reservations about Woody were validated in this episode. I think he is in it for the fame. Amani has a strong personality so she will not put up with it. He also appears to be very short. I don't know if she will find him attractive. They may work out if he is actually genuine about wanting to be married. Amelia and Bennett I still don't know about these two. They appear to be fan favorites due to their eccentric personalities but I stand by my initial opinion that they might not work out. Amelia seems to be energetic and outgoing, while Woody seems to be more spacey and subdued. She is the artsy person with a million thoughts going on at once, while he settles on one thought or feeling at a time. They might wear each other out. This relationship hinges on the fact that Amelia has more going for her, and that Bennett is willing to be a stay at home dad. Did he ever agree to that? There is no guarantee that he would be good at it or enjoy it. Olivia and Brett Brett comes off as such a douchbag, but these two may work out. Hear me out here. Olivia is a great catch, she is decently attractive, has a very high paying job, is probably away from home alot, and loves sports. What more can a guy ask for? His family will love her. Brett has dated every woman in New Orleans and he isnt getting any younger. He might pull out the charm (and lose the attitude) when he realizes how well he will be living on a nurse practitioner salary in affordable Louisiana. He will gaining season tickets, tailgating galore and great football parties all on her dime. I think he hit the jackpot, hopefully he doesn't blow it.
  18. Now that you put it that way, I think these two could work out after all. A nurse practitioner making very good money in Louisiana is definitely a catch. They can live very well considering how affordable it is there. He might realize she is a catch and the alternative is being a divorced man in his late thirties with slim pickings after having dated every girl on his dating app. He might also be all talk but no bite. I can see these two enjoying their season tickets, tailgating and hosting fun football parties with all the money she makes. We talk about Henry being a better match for Olivia but he might hate sports for all we know. He might also enjoy quiet get togethers and not the rowdy sports scene.
  19. They didn't clarify whose property his "tiny house" is on. He uses the bathroom in the other house. Just a curiosity, I did notice he had a bunch of vitamin bottles right next to the window. Has he never read the bottle where it says to keep in a "cool dry place"?
  20. I remember Meka being less than enthusiastic from the outset about Michael and his career, even before the embellishment started. Perhaps her initial disappointment with him was in general (in terms of looks and personality). Amelia and Bennett - I have considered a more sinister reason for Bennett's willingness to take Amelia's name upon marriage. As an upcoming actor, he might be hoping to change his name to a more fancy unique name, especially if his own is common. I find it very suspect this was the first thing he thought of when Dr. Pepper told him they found him a match. I don't doubt that these two are open to non-traditional gender roles, but there is no guarantee that free-spirited Bennett would make a good house-husband who could keep order in the house and raise children. I hope that these two chaotic personalities can make it work. Olivia and Brett - I think the experts matching them based on their cats, and having season football tickets, is probably one of the stupidest things I've ever seen on this show. Fighting cats will end this relationship before Olivia takes Brett to any game and before she realizes he is a douchebag. Christina and Henry - I saw a photo of their wedding and it appears that they are about the same height, unless he is on some sort of platform to make him appear taller. If she is wearing heels in that photo, then he is taller than her. More than physical appearances, I get the impression that she likes bad boys and he appears to be just the opposite. The fact that she is a flight attendant is also a bit concerning because that kind of work schedule is taxing on any relationship.
  21. My theory is that Henry is one of those guys with a million female friends because they all friend zoned him. They all think he is a great catch for someone else. Now that he is in his mid 30s, they want him married ASAP, so they dragged him on this show.
  22. Karen and Myles - Jasmine and Will 2.0. As sweet as Miles is, I get the feeling that Karen will not be impressed with him. I get the vibe that she wants an older man (mid 30s) with a lucrative career. She was very specific about age so I don't know why the experts chose to ignore that. Myles works in a school which is likely not a lucrative career choice in Louisiana. Unfortunately, I think many women look down on men working in the education field (remember Meka/Michael). He also mentioned having two degrees, and wanting to go for a third. I think at his age (only 26), he is probably still undecided on his career. He seems a bit idealistic at this moment and probably should have waited a few years before getting married. Amelia and Bennett - This impending disaster is on Dr. Pepper, she conjured up some fairy tale where Amelia will be Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Bennett will be a fun loving stay at home dad. Matching two "artsy" folks does NOT automatically mean attraction. I think Amelia's bohemian appearance is just that, an appearance. The similarities likely end there. She put herself through medical school and he drives a pedicab and lives in a DIY tiny house with no running water! Medical school in the US only happens with laser focused determination. Bennett seems like a drifter with not much ambition in life other than to enjoy the moment. Having gone to medical school, the people she has been around for the last few years have all been overachievers and she will likely not be impressed with him. Amani and Woody - I like Woody but I think he may be in it for the attention. The fact that he shows up with his best friend to the casting seems a bit off putting. Unlike hopeless romantic Myles, I distrust Woody a bit more because he just seems more experienced and perhaps a bit of player. He also seems very eccentric and Amani appears to be more conservative. IMO, she would have been be better matched with a more serious guy like Greg from the prior season in NC. Christina and Henry - Henry is awkwardly shy and gives off a very nervous energy. I think his friends dragged him onto the show because they think he is a good catch who is always friend zoned, which is a shame because I think he is better looking than he realizes. Christina appears to be have lived some through some trauma, maybe a bad relationship. I get the feeling that she is expecting a tall strong man and may not be attracted to geeky boy next door Henry. Christina appears to be tall and I think Henry might not be attracted to her as he specifically said he liked petite woman and he looks to be a bit short himself. Olivia and Brett - I think the experts really did Olivia dirty here. She is a quirky fun living cat lady who loves Karaoke. She is the perfect match for geeky guitar playing Henry! They would have been the next Jessica and Austin. But of course they match her with douchebag Brett who thinks he is so good looking (and IMO is the least attractive male this season with his weird face/nose). I don't think he will like her physically, he wants a hot babe a la Zack. Brett may go down as one of the worst participants, down there with Matt, Luke and Zack. These are all my first impressions of these folks, of course these will change as we learn more about them. If I were to guess, I think Olivia/Brett are a definite divorce, the rest might have a chance if I am wrong on my assumptions.
  23. I remember Sunny once explaining how Black voters (especially older ones) are pragmatic voters, who are more willing to support someone who they believe will win. That might explain their support of Bloomberg. I don't like her overall generalizations of the black community, though.
  24. They are all annoying me lately. This is going to be a long election season. Joy is definitely giving Bloomberg a pass, which is disappointing. I think she is so troubled by the prospect of a Trump re-election, that she is willing to support anyone who can take him down. She is also annoyed by how Democrats (i.e. Warren) are willing to drag other candidates when the target should be Trump. This is why she sees Biden as the best candidate, because there is a certain benevolence about him that the others are missing. However, she doesn't seem to be able to articulate her points in an effective manner as well as before. I'm a bit concerned about that. Whoopi rarely makes sense and she takes up valuable discussion time. She went off on a senseless rant today for a few minutes to end up saying that the candidates failed to talk about the issues (which would have taken 10 seconds). I do agree with her about that, though. She could have brought up Buttigieg's criticism of Klobuchar for not knowing the name of the Mexican president. It was like the battle of the nerds. Sunny is also getting annoying as she only seems to be willing to discuss one topic. I also don't understand why she is so surprised that many Blacks support Bloomberg. Being from NYC, she should know that many Blacks in NYC are concerned about the significant increase in crime under the watch of the current mayor. Sunny also came across a bit hypocritical when she attacked Senator Klobuchar about the black man she prosecuted in MN. I remember very well when Sunny boasted about being a tough prosecutor who convicted people with just the testimony of the victim (and no other evidence). I wonder how many of these convictions were of black men? And of course, Meghan seems to be enjoying all the infighting within the democrat party. Today, she came to Warren's defense because she is on a mission end Bloomberg's bid for presidency. However, if Warren becomes the nominee, I am sure she will go in attack mode and call her a socialist.
