  1. This,100%. From the mentors to the competitors, I found everyone either forgettable or unlikable. By the time the finale came, I was ready for it all to be over. It just felt like this was a lazy rehash of the design/reno competition formula we've seen before. How about having a new mentor each week that coaches all three teams? The mentor would be neutral and would be there to guide each team through their own design ideas, rather than providing ideas like an ill fitting banquette. The mentor then walks the judges (the same ones for the whole season) through each room and explains the design. Each mentor could also hawk their own HGTV show. For example: Judges - Property Bros Kitchen Mentor - Allison - Windy City Rehab Living Room Mentors - Lindsey and Leslie - Unsellable Houses Master Bedroom Suite Mentors - Egypt and Mike - Marries to Real Estate Kids Room Mentors - Dave and Jenny Marrs - Fixer to Fabulous Guest Room Mentor - Jasmine Roth - Help! I Wrecked My House Exterior Mentor - Mika and Brian - 100 Day Dream Home
  2. I totally agree. In many cases, a big reason a vet is cut is because she's fallen out of favor with TPTB. To some extent I believe that this year there was a more conscious attempt to include WOC; but I don't think the new WOC rookies are any less talented than some vets on the team. It's not about dance ability or being a good ambassador. It's about how much DCC kool-aid you drink, and how much "yes ma'am-ing" you do. Kelli acts like dictator who doesn't want anyone on the team that she can't control. We have all seen how she rewards her favorites, and punishes those who aren't.
  3. The girl is an interview risk. You don't know what's going to come out of her mouth. She either has no words or the words she has are the wrong ones. She basically said that when it comes to the Cowboys Org, rules don't really apply to her. Even when she's talking about her favorite subject, herself, she manages to screw it up. To be fair, I don't think she found these words all by herself. It reads like a thinly veiled advertisement for Prep Classes. Still, I'm surprised TPTB allowed this interview to be posted. But then again, they have blinders on when it comes to VK. I can picture it now. Kelli shaking her finger at VK while smiling. "Victoria, you scammed you way into JR DCC and Prep Classes... twice? Oh, you cheeky little monkey!" VK grins sheepishly as Kelli and Tina look at each other and giggle.😋
  4. I think Molly is missing. And this is a horrible pic for some of the girls. I barely recognize some of them.
  5. Because we've seen her dance! We've seen her fall out of turns. We've seen her heavy leaps. We've seen her miss her marks. We've seen her dance without precise control. We've seen her pop her head early. I have yet to be impressed by any performance I've seen from her. There's a general consensus on who good dancers are like Gina, Bridget and Holly Powell. But there's a general consensus that Victoria is not as good as she's been made out to be. Still waiting to see anything that shows me she's best in the room good. I think you had it right. Whats that phrase that the easiest explanation for something is usually the right one. In this case, Victoria received preferential treatment and a very complimentary tv edit because of her close personal relationship with Kelli (DCC Director and Executive Producer of DCC:MTT).
  6. I agree, but I don't even think it's a legacy issue though. Victoria gives off a level of entitlement that I didn't feel with Dayton or Madeline Salter. Her preferential treatment by Aunt Kellie has given her show group, triangle positions, social media exposure, etc. before more deserving DCC vets . Every DCC accomplishment she has comes with an asterisk because it's been handed to her, and not rightfully earned. If she feels isolated, she has no one to blame but Victoria. She doesn't exactly come across as concerned with anyone but herself.
  7. I hardly think the DCC are posting VK vids all the time because she's the only one putting in the work. That's pretty insulting to the 36 other women on the team. It's more likely that she's the one given the most opportunities. And yes, it is unfair. When you have a box of 64 crayons, but you only pull out the same 5 crayons for your child to color with; of course your child will know those 5 colors and they become her favorites. That doesn't mean the other colors are any less brilliant. Fans are like these children with only five crayons to color with.
  8. I respectfully disagree. I think a lot of the social media hate came from the blatant favoritism VK received that first training camp. TPTB gave her a pass on so many things that would have gotten any other TCC cut, including her obvious weight gain and her lying about the doctor's visits. So while I don't doubt VK was on the receiving end of some social media hate, I think attributing it to her weight issues is conveniently overlooking the actual root cause of it all.
  9. Actually, I don't think it was meant as a criticism of the org. VK would never slander the DCC, and it would never get past Kelli if she thought it made the org look bad. I think it was a carefully orchestrated choice. It fits in perfectly with Victoria's triumphant rise-like-a-phoenix redemption story line this year, and it makes the DCC look like they actually care about self body image issues. It's a win/win for everyone. Every season there's always some contrived segment about healthy eating or Cowboy Fit to show how much the DCC org cares about the health and well being of their ladies. I guess we're supposed to forget the countless times Kelli has drilled into our heads how if a TCC doesn't look good in the uniform, that's a reason she won't make the team. I think the irony escapes them.
  10. notorious /nōˈtôrēəs/ adjective: notorious famous or well known, typically for some bad quality or deed. Sounds about right to me! 😛

I have to wonder, is Victoria featured all the time because she's a fan favorite, or is she a fan favorite because she's been featured all the time? No one can deny that in the last two years, she's been given more exposure than any other DCC. The redemption story line that made her the Rudy of NFL cheerleaders was carefully crafted to win her more fans. But without her DCC connections, I highly doubt she would be showcased as much. She actually would have made my roster this year, but I think she's just a pretty blender. I really wish the DC Org would spread the love around and showcase some of the other DCC that have been virtually ignored. I've resigned myself to seeing Victoria as the face of DCC for the rest of eternity. And I won't be surprised when CMT spins off MTT into KUWTK: Keeping Up With the Kalinas. I can see the promo now. Join us each week as we follow Victoria throughout her amazing DCC journey with her kooky, loveable sidekick/mom Tina in tow. Episode 1: Tina gives Victoria the wrong shade of semi-permanent bronzer to use before squad photo day and hijinks ensue. Oh Tina, you got some 'splaining to do!

There's no way the one sitting out doesn't get paid. This would be a PR and HR nightmare. The compensation may be different, which would still be pretty crappy; but I seriously doubt they are going unpaid. How would that even be legal? I'm convinced that this was yet another executive decision to create maximum drama for better reality show optics. It was never about the budget. If we have alternates AND show group, why would we need All-Stars?

Can I just say how Alanna just became one of my DCC favorites? We barely heard anything about her all season, and then tonight Lily gave her the shout out she deserves. ❤️ Alanna seems like a really sweet and supportive friend.
  14. My heart says: ROTY: Kelcey VOTY: Brennan PB: Heather My head says: ROTY: VK, because the beautiful storm that is VK cannot be denied VOTY: VK, because she's been DCCing since she was in the womb so technically that makes her the vettiest vet that ever vetted. PB: VK, because even in her rookie year, she's embodied the highest ideals of not only the DCC, or NFL Cheerleaders, but of all womankind. The End. 😜
  15. I kinda agree. There is a diversity problem, but I think the bigger reason Kat made the team is Kelli's beauty bias. Kat is just flat out gorgeous and the team needed more conventionally pretty girls. For the record, I think that every single DCC is attractive in their own way, but some are more universally accepted as pretty. I would love to see a DCC makeover with natural curls like former DCC Jacie wears now. When's the last time a DCC WOC sported natural curls? I feel like for the most part the current squad is pretty generic with so many girls that look the same.
