This football storyline gotta end. Trina: Where exactly are you injured, Kai? Kai (staring into camera 2): That’s right. Said it months ago! He's the new Cyrus and we'll see him weep for My Kids for the next 2-4 years.
-
It would not shock me if Ava ended up going Faith Rosco on Liz. Ric has never been able to shake his fascination with her.
-
This is not technically news, I cannot take credit for finding this nor is this my tweet but I had to pass it along. It's the rendition of the ancient Puerto Rico remote footage that finished me off.

Chris McKenna is a great actor but it's an bizarre recast (they don't even have the accent anymore lol, and I'm sure Chris can do one), and Brennan remains a nothing character. This character had maybe a year left tops even before the recast but I fully expect him to go to the dogs sooner than that now. He's a placeholder til they find something better for Carly. Fortunately McKenna's career is very active so this won't be a big hit to him. I just wish the time wasn't being wasted on this stuff. This accent stuff is especially funny if the claim is true that FV pushed hard to get rid of not only Lois' but Martin's accents. Like, why??

Very strange.

I mean, he is yet another OLTL actor Frank has a long history with. I think it's a bit tacky. If I cared about Brennan I might be pissed. But I don't, and McKenna has a very active and busy TV career outside of daytime these days besides OLTL. I think it's probably a 6-12 month role tops while they figure out WTF they really want to do with Carly. Brennan has always screamed stopgap measure to me.

The very brief, terse PR statement about Mesure makes me wonder what exactly happened. I don't care either way, but I do think Brennan is a throwaway character with an expiration date no matter who plays him. Fortunately McKenna is used to that (he played someone similar on Y&R) and has a strong career.

OLTL Outside Llanview: The Cast In Other Roles

Llanview's own Chris McKenna (Joey Buchanan, and my favorite Joey) is now inexplicably the recast for Australian WSB chief Jack Brennan, Carly's new love interest on General Hospital. I don't care for the character at all and it's a bizarre recast, but Chris is wonderful and still very handsome so I am happy for him. Interview with Chris re: GH (and OLTL) -
Eh, I never cared a whit about Dayplayer Brennan and I found Mesure meh. I still don't care about Dayplayer Brennan and probably never will, but I adore Chris McKenna from OLTL and I'm very happy for him, I guess. He still should be playing a new doctor or something.

I mean I think they're both pretty dangerous people, but no one is actively shooting up or firebombing Ava's place lately. Would it kill me if a judge awarded say, Lucas with custody though? Nope.

A lot of people didn't like the Sam and Patrick pairing. Nonetheless, they did have a blended family at that time and I remember Emma and Sam being thick as thieves when Emma was shown, which was fairly often in that period (lest we forget the Ron Carlivati kid quad). When they broke up Emma had a complete and total meltdown and begged for her mother.
-
I also don't think it's him.
-
If you want to see a very early Viki and Dorian confrontation, it's in the second ep above. There's been two more posted since!
-
I dunno. Sam and Emma had a pretty solid relationship back then.
-
No problem. There's been more going up from the same user, it seems. That's the original Karen Wolek (Kathryn Breech) in the second episode, along with the original Jenny Wolek (Kathy Glass).

Some very, very rare finds on YouTube today: OLTL 1975-76, heavily featuring the original Dorian (Nancy Pinkerton) shortly after her marriage to an alive and well Victor Lord. Her pornstached co-conspirator is sleazy Matt McAllister, played by Vance Jeffries who allegedly saved this precious material. Yes, that is OG Llanfair and that does appear to be Dorian's original portrait. More is going up on that account as well. There have been other '70s uploads in recent years, but these are still so rare.

I don't think so, but if there was any overlap it was probably a few months at best. IIRC Donna came on as Madeline Reeves in 2014 and recurred on and off, returning late in the summer of '15 while Genie did her brief run during TG's exit story in the spring and early summer of the same year. I believe she then took off til the fall(?) when they signed her to a long-term contract. OTOH, Genie was (to my knowledge) either back in 2018 from her brief exit when they yet again tried to put her on recurring or on her way back when Donna made her last appearance. Anyway, long story short they never came into contact on-camera AFAIK and maybe not off-camera either.

Maybe now that they're clearly no longer invested in Nina like they were ten years ago (yes, Nina has somehow been on this show for over a decade and Curtis is not far behind) those two can finally have an affair and rid poor Portia of Curtis for good. Nina can get laid and then Curtis can dip! You may have noticed I have the same solution for several useless males on this show: Cheat, then vanish. It's actually soapy, it doesn't involve microchips or diamonds and it doesn't add even more children to the show. It's the praying mantis method, it works!
-
They should be out front for the show the way Sonny, Carly and Jason still somehow are at 50-60. It's easy to make this all about PI/caper stuff for them like Mac, Luke, etc. used to do, or Sonny with them in his youthful prime during the Labine era - you look back at that stuff now and so much was interconnected for a lot of key characters. LNL2 solving mysteries should not be B-story, and Jonathan Jackson should certainly not be in B-story. And I say again, it is also time for vengeful widow-in-waiting Willow to prove to Chase his dick still works just to screw with the Qs. It is time for her to go full Susan Moore.
-
Why is it every time I catch up on this show BLQ turns up dressed like Biggie Smalls. Come on.

Like I always say re: Anna's WSB career, it's the same principle here. Brennan is a damn arms dealer and international kingpin (yes, he was the co-head of Pikeman, the show tries to pretend he wasn't but as far as I recall he truly was and merely covered his tracks to pretend he was undercover!) who has killed countless people due to not only his ill-gotten gains and before that his long career in intelligence with the WSB. Yet for some reason he is consistently sweaty and sprung for upstate soccer mom yung grandma Carly, who is the epitome of that Amy Poehler Mean Girls character: "You girls keep me young!" Brennan is embarrassing to me period and a waste of time, but they are clearly only keeping him til they find something better for Carly after the umpteenth attempt at Jarly with Steve and Laura flopped last spring. This is the first and only time I've considered just recasting Jax (not with this dude!) and bringing him on as a partner for Lois or something. To have a real power player and give Jax a defined story role again for the first time in oh, idk, 25 years? If we're being 100 he's barely had one since except for Jax's years with Carly, and she lost a good thing in him. We've had more absent congressfolks tbqh. (sup Kyrsten Sinema)

I'm very fond of those years too and I love dogs, but any time the Foster/Annabelle saga really got going I would flip to see what was going on on CBS for a few mins lol. This is what I've been saying. If not for Sidwell's arrival and impending replacement role (and apparent lack of involvement in the recent hospital murders, to my surprise though I shouldn't be - GH once again went with the most obvious choice) we'd be back to a few more years of Cyrus while Jason glowers at him from across the Metro Court and vows vengeance for Sam, and continues to do nothing. Just as no one did anything when Cyrus bombed Charlie's, killed several people and put Lulu in a coma. Sidwell will fill that role completely soon enough.

I said it before and I'll say it again: Willow should fuck himbo Chase just because she can as revenge on the Qs. Do it Barbara Ryan crazy-style. Then Chase can leave, or die. idc! All the little children Frank dotes on get into the opening credits for no reason too, so of course they'll add Baldo. I find all of them (and him) deeply obnoxious to see there, and I remember when this show had literal dogs in the opening credits. Animals! At this point I expect 2 year old Amelia or another infant to pop up in the next round. It feels very weird for FV to insist on these additions, it's like a weird fundie family reality show.
