  1. I'm loving reading all the snark here.  I turned her program on this weekend and had to turn it off.  Her voice just grates on my ears - high-pitched baby talk.  And why are her kids still filming her.  Unless these are reruns? The four of them stand around and make comments and laugh when she inevitably says, "Oops, I forgot to add the sour cream/butter(insert anything)!" It's her schtick to act like a dingbat when she is cooking, I guess.

Considering Kelly and Sara have a cohost in common, an interview might be awkward. The show was also friendly towards Regis, so they might not care for her.

re Joy's birthday, maybe the Friday VYD will be all of her favorite things (if she’s there on Friday).

I'm reading Kelly's book right now.  I'm enjoying it. I've never had a problem with Regis, he's fine, but I don't think he was always the great guy that everyone says. He had his faults and definite eccentricities.

Is Daymond John still on Shark Tank? He's Black and based out of New York. Perhaps he didn't want to stoop to being on The View.

Yes, he is still on.  Lori Greiner was also missing.  Maybe they had previous commitments?

On the topic of the Dahmer movie. Sorry, Joy -- not knowing Jack Ruby's name is NOT an indictment of our educational system. That Kennedy's assassin isn't a household name today is a good thing. Part of the pathology of many killers like this is the desire to become famous.

Jack Ruby was NOT Kennedy's assassin.  He shot Lee Harvey Oswald, who WAS Kennedy's assassin. Maybe this is why it should be taught in schools?

It's a part of our history.

To maintain one's sanity, you MUST watch it taped/paused or else the bloody ads will drive you crazy! I have seen this show butt in and interrupt MID-WORD......forget mid sentence!!!!

No wonder network's numbers are quickly shrinking away! Who wants to watch a show - like Dateline or 20/20 - where you could write a novel or build a house during the time all those ads they constantly throw at us take to run!!!

Absolutely! I DVR just about everything, unless it's a program that I just have on for background noise (Food Network, etc.). Hallmark movies especially. (Don't judge!) Although I notice that even they get pretty into the plot before they have a commercial break and then load up toward the end. I LOVE fast forwarding through the commercials.

On a more shallow note, Alyssa's dress is SO short today!  I'm reminded of Gabby (The Bachelorette) on After the Final Rose when she came out in a dress that looked more like a bathing suit. Is that a thing now?

Sunny's dress with the sharp, pointy shoulder pads reminds me of the famous Carol Burnett/Gone With the Wind skit. "I saw it hangin' in the window and just HAD to have it!"

Don’t think it’s all his fault. She was obsessed with her ex and she’s obsessed with her son. Give people space. Get a life. She can afford to do whatever she wants instead of crying on social media. Have some pride.

Before she announced they had split up, I wondered how Tom felt about her very public obsession with Ed. I won't deny that I would love to read a tell-all book or article from Tom's point of view.

I've been divorced, twice. I get it - it's hard. I had nowhere near the resources that are available to her, but with the passage of time you move on.  But OMG - I cannot imagine during my worst times going on social media blubbering and bitter and then having to show up at work the next day knowing my coworkers had seen that. Or my boss! I also wonder how Food Network feels about her public breakdowns. I agree - have some pride.  Share your deepest feeling in private with your friends and your therapist if you are lucky enough to have one.

  7. Just watched the episode last night.  Last one of the season? When Sarah wanted the bathroom shelf (or whatever) moved, which would add costs and time - I mean who cares? It's in the girls' bathroom and as has already been pointed out, they will probably never live there very long, if at all. It's no longer cute or funny when she does this.

I've watched them since the first series shown on HGTV, and I notice a not-so-subtle difference in Brian. I don't see the love for Sarah anymore. I predict they will divorce, probably as soon as the youngest kid is out of the house, and maybe even before.

I wonder if they realize how lame they come across. I would NEVER hire them to do a construction project. They both seem so scattered and disorganized.

From what I heard, Sunny didn't say Alyssa was complicit with heat though, she just said it more like it was a fact...which it is, imo. I thought she was being deferential to Ana by acknowledging that she and Alyssa aren't the same, Alyssa is much worse in what she's contributed.

Alyssa's not going to leave, she's probably grateful to have got this job considering her resumé... And who would care if Alyssa left anyway. The show's ratings were fine last season so the hiring of a fifth co-host always felt sort of pointless. Besides, the show's worse for having Joy off to make room for Alyssa, if we're being honest. I don't think it's a smart business decision to make the first show of the week the most dull show of the week... I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up hurting them in the ratings over time.

It doesn't matter if she said it with heat - she still said it, to a fellow co-host.  As I said, I am not particularly on Team Alyssa, but if Sunny is going to continue to take swipes at her it just makes me think less of Sunny.

And Joy isn't off on Mondays to make room for Alyssa.  Anna is there  to fill that spot, just like she is there on Fridays for Whoppie.

  9. It's pretty clear that Sunny hates Alyssa.  She looks bored and pissed off when Alyssa is talking, it is SO obvious what she is feeling.  And this morning, when they were talking about Liz Cheney and whether there should be a third party, Sunny actually said to Alyssa, you worked in "that" administration, you were complicit. Alyssa had admitted she worked there, but has denounced - what more can she do or say?  If they are going to continue to rub her nose in it, it's going to turn some viewers, including myself.

I'm not an Alyssa fan, but Sunny is going too far here. They hired Alyssa to be on the panel, you need to be polite and respectful.  I don't see Alyssa staying around.  I don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but I didn't notice Sunny's hate for Alyssa so much before.  It is getting worse and obvious.

  10. Chris Cuomo's new show will debut on October 3 on NewsNation.  He will be on at 5 pm, opposite Anderson Cooper.  Will be interested to see how his ratings are.  I like Chris and Anderson seems to be fading lately.

I was amused when recently Sunny was all in gold/brown and in that wig which made me think of the  cowardly lion of the Wizard of Oz.  All she needed was bronzer stripes across her cheeks to finish the picture.

    She looks like Medusa today.

  12. Remember back in the very early days of The Bachelor/Bachelorette? There was not nearly as much drama. The guy/girl meets a lot of different guys/girls, they go on some individual and group dates, at the end someone is chosen and someone is sent home. Done.

Now the drama starts with episode one. This season was drama on steroids.  I used to enjoy watching the show, it was fun and kind of made you feel good when they found "true love." (Even though it didn't always last.) Now the show is cringe-worthy. I wonder if they are going to have to find something to keep raising the drama bar.

Jesse Palmer totally bugged.  All the "what you will see tonight will change your life" "this will be hard to watch" and "you might need a glass of wine for what's coming up."  Please.

Lastly, what the hell was Gabby wearing?

    I miss the old days.

While I sort of respect the guys for questioning whether they are ready for an engagement this soon, that is the premise of the show, and unless they've been living under a rock, they know what is expected of them. They should also know that most engagements on this show either end without a marriage, or last for several years so no one actually expects them to get married.

I wonder how many of the guys take it that seriously, how many are ACTUALLY ready to get engaged when they sign on to go on the show. I do respect the guys who realize they aren't ready.

And when someone says "I'm falling in love with you," that doesn't mean they "love you." They're getting to that point of commitment, but then again, maybe they won't.

To me, it would be morally wrong to propose to someone with the thought that I could break it off after the show is over and the publicity has died down. Unless BOTH parties agreed to that, which is also very weird.  Do they get more money from the show if there is a proposal at the end?

I just think this whole two bachelorette idea is really stupid. If one gets a ring and one gets left, how can there not be feelings of jealousy, why not me?, etc. Both of these girls seem to have BIG issues and need to get themselves in a good place mentally and emotionally before they jump into marriage.

  14. How would you even date someone for a year and a half and keep that information from them? I mean, things are going to come up with the child, you have to take them here or there, they get sick, just the normal parts of having a child. Even if he didn't have custody of the child.  (Did he?  I don't recall hearing that.)  I could understand if you only dated someone a couple of times. But a year and a half?!

To not tell the person you are dating that you have a child is just flat out lying.

I'd be surprised. Nobody knows what's going on in another couple's marriage, but they seem invested in each other to me. Nothing wrong with having some alone time.

I'm all for alone time, but it's the way that Bryan speaks to Sarah that makes me think the bloom is off the rose.  He's tired of her changing things constantly ... I just pick up an impatient, "I'm over it vibe" from him. I could be wrong.  Maybe playing The Bickersons is their jam. Who knows.

Aren't they renting that huge office space?  If so, they're sure spending an enormous amount of money on renovating the area that they would abandon if they decide to return to Canada. And why did they work continually to finish the office before the house renovations were done?  They must unlimited amounts of money.

Yes, I think they like to cry poor but that's nowhere near the truth.  That table that Sarah bought for her office, Bryan said he didn't even want to know the cost.

And yes, they must be leasing that office space.  They surely didn't buy the entire building!

He could have stored his tools and building materials securely in the hanger as it was without doing all the extra work and just concentrated on getting the house done. Then when the house was completed, focus on the hanger. He was going to put a movie screen in there, but then said the renovation of the swimming pool was too expensive, so he let that go.

That big office space of Sarah's is a vanity thing.  She said she needs a place of her own. Apparently they both do. I expect them to divorce.

  17. I don't know how much is fake drama and schtick, but Bryan looks like he is completely over Sarah. She's ridiculous. And Bryan isn't doing his business any favors, he looks rather incompetent and I don't think I would want him doing my renovation or construction project.

Where is the older daughter?  I think I read someplace that she is in boarding school. Lucky her.

When they were on their little camping trip and saw the alligator in the water not far from where they stood, they just stood there on the banks looking at it.  Do they not know how fast an alligator can move?  Or was it a fake?

I guess it never occurs to them to buy a home for themselves that doesn't need to be broken down to the studs. Of course then they wouldn't have a show. They're not like Chip and Joanna who renovate homes but have a nice stable home to go back to at the end of the day. I honestly feel sorry for the kids. Their lives seem so disrupted.

  20. Rachel wants unconditional, complete loyalty from these guys who barely even know her. "They should be there for me 100%!"

When she cancelled the group date I was done with her.  She is, I think, the most selfish person I have ever seen on this show.

And...tell that to all those babies who aren't cute, perfect, healthy, white, etc.

That is so true.  Years ago we tried to adopt.  The wait list for a healthy white infant was years and years long, and there was no assurance that you would end up with a baby.  On the other hand, if you wanted to adopt an African American baby or a baby with special needs, they could work with you immediately.  There was that much difference.

I'd forgotten how much I can't stand Elisabeth.  She is so damned smug and sure of herself.  I doubt she can ever see an issue from a different point of view or - gasp - admit that she might be wrong. When she announced on social media that she was going on The View, she asked people to "Pray for Me." Of course it was meant to be tongue in cheek, and of course she got plenty of sympathy.  If she needs prayers, why did she agree to go on the show, if it is THAT awful.  Oh, I forgot.  She wanted to plug her new book about kids writing on walls.

  22. So every time either Rachel or Gabby gets into a snit over something someone said or did, they cancel the cocktail party? I thought the purpose of the cocktail party is to get to know the guys a little better, in order to make a good decision. It's sort of like, "Someone did/said something wrong, so you will ALL be punished!"

I wonder how many of the guys really don't even care about either girl, but are just enjoying being in France and on the cruise.  That's where I would be at this point.

Why can't Sunny believe what she believes?  She has every right to be against Abortion and she is not forcing her opinions on others. Live and let live.. There are people who feel like Sunny but choose to remain silent. Sunny is at least being consistent in her stance  and has said many times that she does not wish to impose her religious beliefs on anybody.

Of course she can believe what she believes.  I am always just curious when someone is so black and white about something, at what point would they bend, if any?

And maybe her answer would be, it wouldn't be right for ME, but it would be up to my daughter, no matter her age, to make that decision for herself.

  25. Sunny is constantly reminding us that she is Catholic and therefore does not believe in abortion "for any reason." I wish one of the other panelists would ask her what she would do if it happened to her own daughter.  Would she force her to continue the pregnancy?
