  1. I didn't know anything about fast fashion because I don't really buy clothes unless I really need them, but there's no where for me to really shop, so I just order Old Navy, etc., online.

However, I did find this really interesting because I was floored how many clothes people throw away. I take care of my clothes well enough. I'm actually wearing a shirt from grad school right now and it's in good condition. I just don't understand why you'd buy something and only wear it three times.

Admittedly, part of the reason I liked it is because Randy Savage was my favorite wrestler and I thought it was hilarious.

This begs the question of Strong Woman's taste in men to go from Savage to PC Principal.

Was there no episode last week? I watch on Hulu and there was nothing listed.

  3. With all the ridiculous bullshit Bob had to put up with every week, after waiting 5 years for this turkey, which Linda had to have known was important to him, I'm cutting him a little slack. Especially when the holiday is continually ruined.

It's not like Louise wasn't totally gung ho about burning things either.

  4. Bob having the food talking to him is never not funny. It's such a brilliant character trait.

Bob and Linda also high fiving over the check ending in 69 is exactly what they would do. So is Louise wanting to burn things.

I'm kind of a little over every year something bad happening to Bob though. Last year was the closest but still.

Most grocery stores sell wood. Linda could have just run down there.

By now, Linda should know well enough how Bob is about Thanksgiving. I mean, I get that she's not super into it, but she was kind of being annoying to Bob.

  5. Smith isn't an idiot though. He knew Himmler's wife was basically spying on them, and the dinner with Himmler showed killing him would be fairly easy.

I don't mind the Japanese leaving. The show needed one major victory, and they didn't have a ton of territory. They already showed the princess leaning to withdrawal anyway. Tagomi got killed (even though not by the BCR), then the meeting with the Admiral and the BCR went sideways and they were having court marital hearings. So in the larger context it was getting to be a mess to hold on to the territory, and *then* a huge oil pipeline got blown up, and Robert's telling Kido that the BCR is relentless and they're never going to stop. So maybe a little more development of all these threads, but in this season, the Japanese leaving was ok for me.

I don't think the show ending with the USA being totally free would have been earned so I do like Bill throwing down the medal. I think as someone mentioned earlier here maybe that showing a lot of the American nazis deserting and taking off their arm bands would have been better.

  6. The Native Americans looking around and backing out was funny. What was Wiggum shoving up his nose?

Bwahahahahahahaha Moleman getting hit by the pizza delivery.

Why is this the last appearance for Martin's actor?

  7. It was strong winds and sheets of rain coming down. I don't think you can draw many conclusions from this game's stats for anyone.

  8. I'm wondering if they wrote themselves into a corner and didn't know really how to end it. It seemed to me they made a huge point of letting us know that alt-Smith didn't have any girls. Then Helen died in the crash, so I figured he was going to send them through and just get out of there. Or even if he ended up dying to make arrangements for them to go through.

  9. I'm going to actually give some credit here - Mr Robot v Vera was reasonably interesting. I did like how Vera was kind of freaked out and then Mr Robot basically just laid into him.

Ooooh, they said mother fucker again.

I think viewers have PTSD from being gotcha'd by the show's original Robot revelation, and now don't know what to believe anymore.

Who didn't know that Mr. Robot wasn't real though? The show wasn't really being coy about that.  Even Elliot v/o-ed "I suppose you knew that." The real reveal was Darlene being his sister because he said, 'you didn't see that'. I think the 'ptsd' aspect comes from the show being so oblique with characters talking past one another most of the time, or with Rose blathering on about the 'project' to the point where you wonder if TPTBs have much more than a few plot beats they need to hit, but 13 hours of show is way way way way more than needed so it's filled with Dom plodding around or no one talking or whatever this episode was.

I actually don't mind a 'tv-play' episode, but being the last season, I feel like not much has happened since episode 2.

I think everyone here is smart enough to know that Eliot clearly experienced childhood trauma, leading to Mr. Robot, so I'm not sure explaining exactly what happened was really necessary, which, as I said above.

I don't understand why the Dark Army did not want Darlene. Holding Darlene hostage would give them incredible leverage on Elliot...to kill her is incredibly short sighted.

Besides the whole hammering of the 'I'll kill your family' over and over and over and over, I'm not seeing much in the way of critical thinking or strategy. You have to figure continually berating Dom and using her as an attack dog is going to be finite proposition. Not to mention failing to forsee Darlene wiping the phone.

  11. I think people like Julia and Tagomi who can travel on their own can end up where ever and in what ever dimension it seems. Of course, they can't exist there.

They showed the portal to be like a road between just the one dimension.

From what I remember in the first season Julia's sister came from where ever with one of the films, so I figured that people from all over were taking films from their dimension to the high castle.

I'm not feeling into it, either, because I was glued to the TV when it was on, two years ago. I also wish that I could just binge it.

Me either. I think in the long time between seasons I just found other interesting things to watch. When it came back, the plot has been so byzantine and the dialogue so obtuse, I didn't know what was going on and I realized I just don't care. I'm playing out the string at this point. If it wasn't the last season and like 4 of 5, I'd probably just drop the show.

It's just so ponderous at this point. At least with Tyrell, he was all over the place so the show had some pace. Even whiterose is getting to be overly much now.

It seems kind of silly to me that the taxidermist would openly say 'kill her' on the phone. As opposed to 'get rid of her' or 'you know what to do.'

I feel bad for the actor, but Dom just drags everything down for me. I don't care about her 'struggle to keep her family safe.' I wish I liked her or even didn't like her because I'd have some feeling to her scenes. But I just don't care. I mark time waiting for the scenes to end.
