  1. At the end of the episode when Finn talks to Jake, Finn's shadow has two arms. Make of that what you will.
  2. Still waiting for a resolution to The Disappearing Door...
  3. I'm headed to San Francisco next month...any recommendations for places to eat? Top Chef related or not, I hear San Fran has some great food and I'd love to check out some good places. I've never eaten in a "fancy" restuarant, it's on my bucket list to eat at a Michelin Star place some day, maybe this trip. Any thoughts?
  4. I think that guy was on The Doctors? Maybe? If that's him, then he's supposedly a plastic surgeon.
  5. I've been rewatching/watching for the first time Season 1. Some of the episodes are definitely familiar, like Children of the Gods/The Enemy Within/The Nox/The Torment of Tantalus. Others, though, I don't think I've ever seen. I've only watched through The Torment of Tantalus so far, so I'm a little behind on the rewatch but I'll catch up. I didn't find the Nox all that annoying, although I understand how they can be seen that way. I think it's because I agree with a lot of what they say. I can see it being a little smug, but at the same time they are reacting from their POV and culture. They live in a culture that values pacifism and isolationism. One where they attempt to keep to themselves and expect others to do so. Most of the cultures they've encountered have been there to pillage or destroy. I can see where they'd have trouble understanding the interest the SG-1 Team has in protecting them. At the same time, they are clearly compassionate about other people/races. They didn't have to heal anyone, but they chose to. They chose to heal everyone, including those who wished them harm. It's definitely an interesting philosophy they live by and one I like. I think the biggest thing I took away from Brief Candle is that Kintia is a beautiful name and I think I covet it.
  6. From memory, it went something like this: Belle: "Neal is dead. Rumple is alive." Snow: "Neal is dead?" Regina: "Rumple is alive?" Belle: "I think?" Regina: " Which one?" Belle: "Both?" And then she explained Rumple absorbing Neal and Zelena having the dagger.
  7. I did like Snow's hair in the early scene where Philip and Aurora were turned into monkeys. It was very Snow White-ish. I was surprised at the gang shooting the monkeys when they knew there was a chance they were people they knew. It's a safe bet that the poofed monkeys still exist and can be turned back.
  8. "Perdido Street Station" has one of my favourite passages in literature when talking about the Weaver. I really enjoyed "The Scar" as well, but couldn't get all the way through "Iron Council". "Perdido Street Station" is the best of his, I think. I also tried reading "Kraken" which was really interesting and had some very unique concepts, but I felt as though I was struggling through it. I just realized that I've only given up on reading on a handful of books in my lifetime and two of them were Miéville's! I honestly do think he's a great writer, maybe I just need to go back and try again.
  9. I hope not! That door disappearing was the most interesting thing that happened all episode! I'd hate for it to have no meaning.
  10. I can only hope that the door disappearing is a future plot point, otherwise what the hell?
