  1. They’d almost have to break up Phoebe and Mike because good luck prying Paul Rudd away from Marvel.
  2. Too bad Beckett had gutted Nieman from stem to stern.
  3. Yeah me too, I think this story is complete bullshit.
  4. Given that Alexis had always been like a 40 year old in a kid suit, it’s not that far fetched.
  5. The alternative was them leaving it on a cliffhanger with the expectation of renewal only to get cancelled. I’ll happily accept the tacked on epilogue.
  6. No, the first four episodes are officially released. You can talk about them.
  7. Airdate: October 20, 2023
  8. Airdate: October 20, 2023
  9. Yeah, as a Gen Xer, we girls were brought up to not leave it to the men to have condoms. Take charge of one’s own safety and so forth. Now, I find that whole condoms scene ridiculous because Richard and Ross live alone. Who wants to bang and share a bedroom wall with others that are banging when you don’t have to?
  10. That surrogate storyline only came about when Lisa Kudrow got pregnant. The Frank Jr/Alice thing had already been established and we weren’t ever supposed to see them again after that. The only reason we did is because of needing to write it in a pregnancy. Rachel switched from psychology because of the lousy parking. We don’t know what she ended up majoring in.
  11. All the Friends did things they should’ve been fired for. Ross having sex with Rachel at the museum and getting caught by a catholic school class and nuns. I lost count of how many fireable offenses Rachel committed at Ralph Lauren. Ironically, the thing she got fired for wasn’t an actual offense. If she didn’t have an no-compete clause, she’s well within her rights to interview for another job.
  12. I find that applies more to Ross and Elizabeth. She was no longer a student in his class but she was still a student at the university he worked. He could still have power over her. But once Frank Jr. graduated, he and Alice were just regular people. He didn’t go to that school anymore, she had no power.
  13. Frank Jr. and Alice had such great chemistry too, they were so cute.
  14. Frank Jr. and Alice didn’t bother me either because while he was her student when he was in high school, it seemed to be implied that their relationship didn’t start up until after he’d graduated. I actually can’t believe that in season 1 it A, took so long for the guys to pick up on Ross’s Rachel lurve and B, that the gals never caught on. Because Ross would get so absolutely huffy about anything going on in Rachel’s love life, no matter how tangential, like the dream thing.
  15. Maybe he got… “something” on them and needed to wash them.
  16. Ross not recognizing his name I can buy, I doubt he knows the name of every single guy Monica has ever dated. And I can even buy that Monica didn’t know based on not getting an invitation and not actually seeing it. But you would still think that the subject would’ve come up in her and Ross’s little road trip to the reception. “By the way, who the hell is Frannie marrying?”
  17. On the subject of not inviting exes to a wedding… Dear Cousin Frannie: Not wanting to invite Monica to your wedding because she once dated the groom is understandable. But don’t tell her there’s limited seating and then still invite her parents and brother +1. Just invite the parents, it’s way less insulting.
  18. The intention is for it to air on the Paramount+ streamer. Most shows air on streamer networks these days. It’s only airing a first few episodes on CBS to draw people to Paramount+.
  19. I think it looks cute. Certainly looks much more promising than the Night Court reboot.
  20. I can hardly come up with an exact same scenario to compare the two. All I can do is point out another situation where intent didn’t matter vis a vis the action taken.
  21. Intent does not matter to me. For instance, Monica originally intended to sleep with Joey and ended up with Chandler instead. Hell, the show even covered this point when Chandler found out about it. The important part is that Monica and Chandler ended up having a great relationship, despite what her original intention was.
  22. I’m sorry, but Rachel didn’t actually do anything. Ross invited her, she initially declined, but then changed her mind and decided to attend. Yes, we know what her intentions were, and Ross found out those intentions eventually, but I doubt Emily ever was told about that part, and the bottom line is that Rachel wished Ross well and sedately sat there. What happened is the important part: Ross said her name at the ceremony. I give him props for owning it and jumping through whatever hoop he could to try and fix it, but Emily definitely should’ve halted the ceremony. The mess that ended up turning into was Ross and Emily’s fault.
  23. Good thing Phoebe was driving since we all know Rachel’s plane would’ve had time to make it all the way to Paris if Ross drove.
