Agreed. I asked in a previous episode why Margaret couldn't give Susan the promotion, explain that the firm couldn't afford to give her a raise yet, and promise to give her the raise when they could. In most companies the salaries for different levels overlap a lot. If this company's rules require that Susan get a raise if she gets a promotion, they should say so. (One of my TV pet peeves is the gaping plot hole that could have been fixed by writing a few lines.)

Yes, and one way to find them is to connect to certain way-back people who are known to have had royal ancestry. For example, the New England part of my ancestry includes Thomas Dudley, who was a governor of Massachusetts in the 1600s. His ancestors include King John Lackland (meh) and therefore John's mother Eleanor of Aquitaine (yay!).

True, but most people with any European ancestry are descended from Charlemagne (known in genealogical circles as "Chuck the Prolific.")

I enjoyed this, although I had hoped for a bit more variety in the mysteries than what they showed.
Would like to see a long article or video about the selection process. They got thousands of applicants. Probably they did some research on many of them, and chose the ones who had interesting mysteries that they were able to solve.
Yes, bring back "Genealogy Roadshow"!

If Georgie and Mandy buy a trailer, it might cost more than renting an apartment, but they would have equity, so their relatives might be more inclined to help than they would for rent.

Yes, there should at least be an occasional line that they are trying to get a place. Maybe several local buildings were damaged by the tornado, so fewer apartments are available, and landlords have raised rents higher than Georgie & Mandy can afford. Could they buy a trailer and put it in a relative's yard?

@Katy M....I think you mean Mandy and Georgie here.
The writers should have given the Mandy character a name that is not so similar to Mary and Missy. Other posters here have made this mistake before.

Sam Buttrey can be proud of his "Lost the most games of Jeopardy" record. Only people who are very good at the game get many chances. Look at baseball records, batters with the most strikeouts: they are top players, otherwise they would not have been up to bat so many times.

The joke among my German relatives was that the emigrants left (in the 1800s) because they couldn't stand Wagner's operas. The joke probably started after they got to the US, though.

Besides a nutritional consultation, they could have at least considered testing the girl for conditions such as Prader-Willi Syndrome, since she said she had always been hungry even as a young child (IIRC).
One episode of "House" had a patient who weighed 600 pounds. The doctors thought his medical problems were caused by his weight, but [spoiler alert] they were not.
