So what type of comps does this leave, other than stacking tiny beer cans which she also wasn't good at?

Being abrasive contest? Close race with her and Memphis... and Christmas being pissed off she didn’t win that either?

My thoughts exactly. What is left? Endurance? Hanging on to things or corn hole/sports/accuracy? I have no idea. She was saying not the slip slide race because that favors fastest male runner with long legs and not the holding a ball up arm strength thing or the short term memory visual questions or long term game memory questions. So the wall or a crapshoot or puzzles?

Isn’t that the exact same thing Memphis said regarding Day and Kevin but Memphis actually wanted the veto used to get David?   So Kevin and David, noms to stay the same except this time Cody wants to use the veto on ..... so who is the real target?

Cody won’t do Nicole or Dani.  So is it Tyler most likely?  Or will Cody keep the men safe and actually put up Nicole, Dani or Xmas?

Cody and Dani are finally alone in HOH after Nicole and Enzo leave. Cody jokes that he wants her speech to not be put up. Dani asks if he will put up Christmas if Kevin/David win veto or come down and he says that is what he will do. Dani has been kind of bashing how annoyed she is with Christmas all night. Dani keeps mentioning how Christmas was so annoyed that she did not win the HOH comp. They all mentioned her stomping around being mad about it. Dani implies that she was mad because Cody won. Cody responds that he thinks that it is more that she is being a sore loser for doing poorly because she is competitive and wants comps for her resumé, rather than being upset that it is specifically Cody who won the HOH. Cody telling her how he will try to talk to her if he has to put her up.

(Earlier Dani told Cody that Kevin doesn’t like him and Cody asks why and if he said that and what he said exactly. Dani says Kevin thinks Cody is a douchebag. Cody does not seem too bothered, yet asks what a douchebag is literally. Nicole and Dani decline to enlighten him about the literal description or why it is used as an analogy).

Dani tells Cody that she thinks Nicole voted to keep Da’Vonne for jury management and that Nicole is denying it when Dani asked her. (She is lying to Cody. Is this the first time she is keeping info from Cody or misleading him?) She suggested that Christmas might have been the other vote, again maybe for jury management (so Dani is implying that she voted to evict Da’Vonne. Did Nicole and Dani agree to lie to Cody about this? Will Nicole tell Cody the truth?)

Cody complains about jury management and pity votes to pander for jury votes. He admits that he did not do it well his season and Derrick was great at it, so that when he hears about people doing jury management it makes him very nervous. Dani then suggests that Memphis is a different person with the first 5 evictions versus the jury evictions due to jury management and it is so obvious and everyone sees it. They agree that Christmas and Memphis are getting very close. They discuss that Tyler says he had final 2s with everyone on his season and that he is trying not to promise more than he can deliver this time as his effort at jury management in not turning anyone off.

Dani and Cody muse that Cody on the block versus Nicole that Cody would stay. They think Christmas would put up Dani and Cody. They don’t think Memphis will put them up. Dani doesn’t think Nicole can win much and Cody says they may have to rethink things if she can’t win things.

Cody admits that some competitions are so strange and you can’t predict like the can one and others it depends because people haven’t been picked for veto or didn’t really try to win. Cody rates Tyler as still a comp threat and Dani thinks he has not been trying his hardest and doesn’t believe that his “I can’t throw anything” and he can win anything.

Dani feels like she is not the fastest, strongest, smartest at questions and she is not winning the types of comps they have this season. They agree that the next few weeks will be interesting.

Dani emphasizes that she is so annoyed by Christmas and really wants her gone. Cody thinks her comp wins were random and he thinks Tyler is way more of a threat, even if he wouldn’t directly put him up. Dani says she thinks Christmas will take it personally if Dani puts her up and Memphis won’t put Christmas up either. They both complain that everyone is taking eviction personally and saying that they won’t vote for you to win if you nominate them. They agree that it is not good play or good sportsmanship. Dani admits that she called out Jeff and Jordan in her eviction speech on Season 13, yet she says it was a different dynamic with 2 sides of the house and it was ok to try to take them down in eviction speech— not like in this season.

Cody hints that Dani needs to go to bed and has to leave and get sleep for tomorrow and they both head downstairs to bathroom area/ bedrooms/ get clothes just after 4 am BBT.

To recap, Dani trashed Kevin, Christmas, Tyler, Nicole, Memphis, Da’Vonne, a teeny bit Enzo not going to win future comps, herself, Cody, Jeff and Jordan and Cody mostly agreed except felt none of it was personal, just part of the game. Then talked about how Kristy says things to him in a kind way and “uses the best words possible” to explain to him if he is doing anything she doesn’t like. He sighs that it has been so long and then suggests Dani should leave. He is now listening to music and looking at his pictures in peace. Me thinks Cody needs to process externally and Dani is a great sounding board for him, yet the negativity is a bit too much for him at times and he wants to get away from her. Conversely, Dani wants more Cody energy. The dynamic is interesting. Nicole can’t spend too much time with either Dani or Cody without seeming to feel too drained. She truly needs alone time to recharge. They both talk too much that it takes her energy, yet Nicole is a stabilizing energy that recharges them at times and Enzo is a relieving energy for them. Interesting in a Myers-Briggs way of looking at group dynamics.

Dani and Cody constantly bring up what annoys them about others... very observational gossip vibe. Then empathize with the other...then think about it... then add some self-awareness with examples of how they do that behavior too... and then point out how when they have done that behavior it was different circumstances that make that behavior not annoying. Wash, rinse, repeat

Yes. One of the ladies asked her that when she shared the story of the robbery and she said that she was wearing the ring because she always wears it/ never takes it off. All expressed relief that her mom’s ring was not stolen.

  5. Will really did look bizarre. Like a Batman Gillian that was frozen in ice and silver and waxy? I wasn’t sure what was happening or where to look. He still has that charm oozing in that TV loves him in on the joke way that could just melt butter or whatever the expression is. I am so damn happy to see his frozen ass swag around in a bathrobe all smarmy and charmy is exactly what I needed... and it looks like Tyler did too! He seemed relieved to see Will as the legend and had the face like this may actually turn out to be a legit party if we can turn this snooze fest around and make this is a season! Let’s Go! Dr. Will has arrived and put the stamp of GOATness on this and I feel hopeful maybe these hamsters step up their game. Possible counseling sessions with the Doctor? What is his role as the nwighbor? It will be cool to see who goes for power in the comps and who goes for prizes indicating who is feeling super safe and who is not. It also gives Kevin and David a chance to buzz in faster for the power because they have less seconds of conflict to weigh in cost/benefit analysis in split seconds before responding. So this week may simply be his one appearance to let them know he is watching and encouraging to step up the game play and start behaving like All Stars or him getting involved in stirring things up! I’m so down for a bit of a shake up. I love me some Dr. Will 4eva. I think he and Dan are arguably equally successful and were very different characters with some very similar strategies that they successfully accomplished by slightly different means individual to their similar, yet different, strengths. I love to watch Will, and Dan to a lesser extent, offer any insight/perspective on a current season or game moves. I thought this comment would be 1 line about great to see Will, yet turned in to a Will tribute, because I didn’t know how much we needed his energy to throw a lifeboat out to the hamsters.

Holy shit, that is straight from Perd Hapley.

Carrington not only memorized the words but had hand gestures to go along with it - a heart hands and fluttery bird flying. I couldn't stop laughing. I can see why he's a hot commodity. He's very good looking, nice body, nice smile, great sense of humor when it occasionally comes out. Mind you, I'd have no interest in him as an adult, but were I in my early 20s I can see the sort of "bad boy" appeal.

The hand motions in his story telling had me lol’ing with the heart and the bird fluttering. He is silly fun and has made me laugh a few times with his personality coming out. He seems accurately described as “deep as a puddle,” yet his silliness makes him seem fun to be around.

Right?! That was a definite WTF when he pulled them out and put them back in his pocket and Cely was laughing and giggling like that was so cute!! I kept thinking I would be like... dude don’t pull out my panties as a meaningful romantic gesture and then keep them in your pocket! So cringe! I would die and be like “hold up, time out, this is adorable but let’s keep my undies and their little trip in the suitcase to Casa Amor and all that went on there out of it. Gimme those back. Ok, continue with the poem” 😬😂🙈

I watched Seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 without live feeds. The only season I didn’t really watch was Season 5. I was very busy that summer, lol. I started reading about the episodes and about what happened in this discussion thread of live feeds (back when it was TWOP days with recaps from Miss Alli) during Season 7 All Stars. I started watching the live feeds Season 8 because Showtime After Dark started that year and played for 3 hours live every night from 9 pm-12 am BBT. It was amazingly enlightening to me to see what really happens and how they really talk and hang out and how the relationships develop compared to what is shown and packaged on the show. I continued to tape and watch BBAD on Showtime 2 for the next few seasons through Season 14 and reading the discussion board. (I didn’t have Showtime or feeds for Season 12– but read the live discussion updates). Season 15 was the first year that I bought the feeds because Showtime canceled and After Dark moved to Pop and I didn’t have that channel. I then became addicted and didn’t look back. Didn’t watch much of BB21. I really had no stomach for those people. Now I am back watching this year! That’s my BB feed history 😁

Adding to my previous quote response to question about if ever/ or when we have watched seasons with or without feeds. As I mentioned above, I watched BBAD for Seasons 8, some of 9, 10, 11 (no feeds or BBAD for Season 12- just watching show and reading here. Then BBAD for Season 13, 14. First year with the 24/7 feeds was season 15. I watched feeds regularly for 15,16,17, and 18. I did not watch must past the first few weeks of BB19, 20, and almost no feeds of 21 due to feeling too much angry energy and toxicity that wasn’t making it fun to watch feeds. I was actually excited to get back in to it again this year with familiar faces for an All-Stars season. Yet it is like watching paint dry when they constantly cut away from anything remotely interesting 😔

  9. I have not been able to catch any feeds in the last several days. Constant puppies/bunnies/kittens/stars. It is so frustrating. Can we copy that letter someone sent to BB and send it too? Where do we send it to tell them this is not ok and alienating the audience?

I distinctly remember the night this occurred live on BBAD. It was a Saturday night in summer 2008. It was hilarious. The first thing I did was pop on to the TWOP discussion thread to have peeps to process the complete circus that night. I remember posting that I could NOT believe these women were all 30 years old. It seemed so old at the time. Old enough to not be screaming about “you disrespected my HOH”... Those were good times back when feeds were so fun and HGs forgot about the cameras and played the game and also hated each other at times and fought like cats and dogs living in a small box 😂 “Who wants cake?” will never not be funny.

My impression on the relationship is that Dick was an absentee father while Dani was growing up and they were never on great terms. However, both have are huge fans of the show and would do whatever they can to get on together since it was the only way either would be cast originally. I don't think they were super close going into BB8 or have ever been that close outside the Big Brother house. Absolutely an unfair advantage between that and America's Player is why I can't take Dick's win that seriously. Season 8 will always make me angry lol. I prefer pre game alliances over the unfair advantage Dick/Danielle had on that season.

I agree with this impression. You articulated it much better! What you said about the not being close except for the trying to be a pair on BB 6 is how I viewed it too. Despite their estrangement, Dick was never going to do anything harmful to her game and he would save her at his own expense. They had an advantage (They are still family!) that no one else ever had and it is rarely discussed regarding their F2 placement in BB8.

I will say that on Dani's first season, when she was absolutely blindsided by her estranged "bad blood in the past" father, Dick, I felt really sorry for her.  Everybody else's "bad blood" pairing was much less hurtful than a bad parent/child relationship, and I was pissed at the producers for that.  It is one thing to confront an ex boyfriend with that sort of emotional implications, and absolutely quite another to confront your estranged father where the emotional minefield must be vast and exponentially more dangerous.

So I automatically felt sorry for her because of that.  Then Dick turned into such an incredible ass, I felt even more sorry for her.  Then I started observing that her apple didn't fall far from his tree, and they both are pretty despicable people.  Dick's diatribe is not at all unexpected, either as a reflection of his personality, or hers.

I think Dani is damaged.  But I'm over giving her a break for it, she hasn't done much to make herself better.  So regardless of her background, or how she got that way, the result is that she's a jerk.  So is Dick.

Except I don’t totally believe that Dick and Dani were as estranged as they made it seem on Season 8. She clearly didn’t like him. HOwe we, they were finalists to be a pair on Season 6. They talked about being sequestered in the hotel and being bussed back and forth on interviews on the Season 8 feeds and Dick was gaga at how hot he thought Janelle was and he was so bummed that they weren’t cast. I saw pics of Dani in her hotel Sequester for Season 6 with very light brown hair. I think they encouraged her to go very blind for Season 8 or she changed it a lot. I think Dick and Dani played up their estrangement to make it work with theme of Season 8 where there were 3 people that were enemies of 3 of the first 10 in the house. Dustin/Joe were ex’s on bad terms and Jessica/Carol were friends who had a (stupid) falling out in high school and became enemies. Having a father/daughter team was such a blatant advantage, it really wasn’t fair. It was his CHILD. He was never going to not vote her out or try to save her in the game, even if she wanted to act like she wanted nothing to do with him. When things were rough in the house, she went to strategize with him and she greatly benefited from his bullying behavior in that others were scared of him and she was an automatic victim that everyone felt sorry for. Production edited the TV version to show a dad working hard to re-establish a relationship with his daughter. It was our first Grodner season and we were ALL manipulated in to that Dick/Daniele Final 2 with Eric as America’s Player.

  14. Why do we have kittens? They finally get alcohol and it goes to animals for hours? What is the point of even having the feeds this year? They cut away when they talk about who they are definitely voting out to keep some suspense. They cut constantly when they talk about EACH OTHER or their opinions about another’s relationship. They cut away constantly when Day, Kevin, or David are talking about the challenges of assimilating and getting asked to be in the large alliance due to racial differences that are hard to overcome. They cut away when Bay, Day, Kevin, and now suddenly David talk about BLM and a higher purpose and how important it is to them. Seriously, I ask again, what is the point of the feeds if we only get to listen to BS and small talk, we can’t even watch them get alcohol and the shenanigans that come with spreading 6 beers and 2 wine bottles among 10 people? The show is protecting everyone due to the backlash when people watched the Season 21 HGs be their natural selves, yet this is a ridiculous level of trying to control and produce perception even on the feeds which is complete shite given that the feeds are what makes BB so special and unique. Urghhhh, so annoyed with kittens right now. The feeds are never on!! 😠🤬

She has to tell the DR but 10 AM on Thursday.

I guess they really did do Zingbot. So, Julie didn't even hype it and they reused zings. Production gave up on this season too lol.

That zing was Dani telling Nicole Tyler’s zing from BB20 about the pimples and being ugly. She was telling Nicole it could be personal and way worse than your voice is annoying and not to worry about her zing from zingbot. Nicole was horrified hearing Tyler’s zing from BB20. That was definitely not his zing again this year. I haven’t heard them mention what his was this year. When it comes to Tyler, everyone is talking about Memphis being pissy that Tyler didn’t try harder to throw the veto to him.

She's not totally wrong this time. Memphis is considering it because he now suspects Day and Dani are working together. Tyler, Cody and Xmas planted all those seeds. Then Day outright lied to both Memphis and Tyler about voting last week to keep Tyler - which they both know is false. She is bad. But about this particular thing...the vibe is probably right. I think Memphis initially wanted David out - but reconsidering.  OR.....

Memphis is in fact a genius and set  this whole fake backdoor plan to essentially just pit Dani/Nicole against Cody/Tyler/Xmas as a way to set up exits for the Committee. I think that's giving him too much credit though.

Does he genuinely not understand why "no one listened to me and threw that comp." Yeah okay Memphis - they are just going to hand you another comp for your resume. Or is that all part of his act? Hmmm.

Oooooh... interesting. Thank you for clarifying! I came in 40 minutes late after veto and missed Memphis’ discussion with Tyler and Cody (and anyone else) before Day went in to talk to him. I wondered if what you suggested was the alternate possibility of what was happening or if both might be happening. Obviously my reads are crap too. Both Day and I don’t know what is going on 😂

  17. Da’Vonne thinks that Memphis is completely lying to her about wanting to get the veto in order to backdoor Kevin. She also thinks that Memphis is lying when saying that he is hoping to get Tyler to use the veto and lying that he is frustrated when he says that he doesn’t know if Tyler will use it. Memphis doesn’t understand why Tyler wouldn’t want to get David out and he tells Day that he doesn’t want to convince Tyler why he should use it, he wants Tyler to convince him why he wouldn’t use it because he can’t understand it. Day goes down to the bathroom and tells Kevin that Memphis and Tyler are totally full of it and are lying because they are working with David and are so obviously targeting her and that they must think she is stupid. She said she will not kiss HIS (points upstairs to Memphis) or HIS (points towards bedrooms for Tyler) ass and look like an idiot.

Ugh, Day is so bad at this game. Memphis is being genuine with her and telling her that he wants her to be safe and that he is actively trying to work on this, and consequently to Day’s benefit, in that he wants David out; but Day says that she is no fool to fall for that and she will ignore his gestures 🙄 She cuts off her nose to spite her face! She is too hung up on fear of people disrespecting her. It gets in her way. She is too suspicious and questions motives when there are none and then can’t read motives when they are clear as Day and she doesn’t understand the move and gets blindsided and outraged (ex: the nomination from Christmas— how many times did Janelle and Kaysar tell her and she could not see it or would not see it). Then she sees things that are not there now and is convinced that SHE (Christmas) is purposely smirking at her to rub in that she is going home. I understand that she is sensitive because Christmas and Tyler recently screwed her over by sending Bayleigh home, yet she reads it alllll wrong and gets the signals significantly wrong and gives attitude when it’s not happening in that moment and when there are legit opportunities for bridge building and potential alignment relationships to leverage.

    @Luckylondon IS STEVE MOSES CONFIRMED.

Bwah hahahaha! Imagine? I don’t like what that might say about me 🤣 I am now wondering what I shall self-diagnose myself with? We do actually have some things in common though. I don’t recall his irrational dislike of Becky, yet it makes me like him more because I totally get it! Bland Becky is a bizarre person to be so irked by because she seemed nice and harmless, yet I found her so pathetically in need of validation, and a simultaneous know-it-all and I can’t handle that energy constantly. If anyone watches RHOBH, I find Teddi Mellencamp to have a similar energy, but I feel slightly less stabby about Teddi. BB17 was weird because there wasn’t many people that I really enjoyed watching.  I didn’t outright love or dislike Steve. I liked him and I think I recall enjoying him. He was sweet and could be very funny and smart and obviously a good player. At times, I found him rather... infantile? and more enamored with his perception of his own intelligence than his actual academic and social/ emotional performance warranted. He was still in college though, so he was very young. (ETA: I do not mean to imply he was arrogant because I don’t think he was... maybe just a bit impressed with himself? But who on BB isn’t?). That said, I did not find him impaired in reading social cues outside of the standard norms and I did not find him comparable to Ian in display of autistic spectrum behaviors. He was nerdy and he owned it and played it up a bit, yet he was able to read how things were going and also was self-aware and way more flexible than Ian. Vanessa really helped him as a security blanket and protector and guide in the game, yet I give him credit for positioning himself in that “student/apprentice” role to her and then cutting her at the end in order to win. They were both extremely high in musical intelligence and I found that interesting to watch them bond about concepts in the physics of sound. He was obviously right on that Becky was basic and aggressively Abercrombie-ly boring AF. I actually like him way more now!! Yo, Shoutout Steve Moses!!

Well part of being autistic is not really being able to gage the right emotional temperature. I'm a teacher who has taught ASD kids and part of the disability is they can seem really blase about some things that actually freak most people out and then throw a tantrum about small things. I think this is what we're seeing with Ian. To a lesser extent we saw it with Steve and his irrational hatred of Becky. Of course that became a comic storyline of BB17 but it was similar -- she could be talking about Abercrombie discount sales and he'd foam at the mouth.

Becky talking about Abercrombie discount sales made ME foam at the mouth. I had a bizarre severe aversion to her that I wanted to throat punch her during her little discussions of how her roommates are all paleo and make their own sunscreen and they had a party and the males invited ranked her 3rd best looking in the house out of the 6 who lived there. Oh and her musings on IPA beer and how she is a “shush-Er” and tends to “manage” men in relationships because she manages young adults at her important job scheduling part timers as a manager at Abercrombie. Becky Becky Train Wrecky drove me nuts and I rarely even have strong feelings for houseguests. Her particular bland of blah bored me to itchy tears. 😭😂

How did she get hit in the face by a TRAIN??? That is the most bizarre story ever. I don’t understand how you can’t hear it coming. I’m still confused, but I do NOT want her or anyone to explain it again.

I didn’t quite hear this either who she was referring to as the veto chip magnet. Was it Tyler? His chip has been pulled in several veto comp draws. Week 1... week 2... week 3 (he was HOH)... and week 4... he was not in the Week 5 veto. So he played in 4/5 vetos... is that correct? I haven’t looked it up. So far Tyler has 1 comp win as HOH. I don’t think he needed or wanted to win the others. Don’t think he was throwing them, however he didn’t seem to be pushing hard to win when he didn’t need to yet because it could shine a spotlight on all his deals. He seems trying to look comp competent, while also not appearing as the huge physical/mental threat this time around—- yet.
