LOL! You'd think they'd haunt Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle instead. They'd finally get to be there, together and no one could get rid of them. Imaging the Queen Mother's reaction if Wallis showed up in ghost form after her death and no way to get rid of her.

Ha. I have no way of knowing. Some Brits were saying it was haunted. I watched two separate psychics who talked about the upcoming move to Frogmore Cottage and that it was Edward who was still there, unsatisfied... not able to move on. Similar to how he was in life with one foot still in the royal family, not fitting in to either world. Both mentioned feeling no reading of the presence of Wallis Simpson being there at all; nor was she felt roaming around on grounds as Edward is rumored to be. I have no way of knowing if it’s possibly true or complete nonsense. I agree that it is really very funny.

    Markle has only one ex-husband.

Yes, officially. It is rumored that she has an annulment to a first husband too that she has managed to keep quiet. She seems to keep anyone who knew her from before recent times at a far distance and things vague, which is fine. It doesn’t matter to me past drawing the allusion to Wallis Simpson and Frogmore Cottage and the close brothers who now have a frosty rift, which likely has nothing to do with the women.

When you think about it, it's really sad.  Margaret was unable to marry a divorced man, and a commoner at that. Slightly later, the queens daughter divorces and remarries a commoner.  Wasn't Diana considered a commoner?  You have Fergie having her toes sucked, Charles, the heir to the thrown, marrying a divorced woman, who need I add, he'd been boffing for years, while married to someone else.

If there is an afterlife, the Duke of Windsor and Princess Margaret have got to be asking themselves, "what was it all for?"

    Sad.

Diana was from an aristocratic bloodline and was specifically picked for Charles. She was called Lady Diana because of her father, Earl Spencer, a descendant of King Henry VII (so they were 16th cousins). I think QETQM was good friends with Diana’s grandmother. They were determined to match the families and had Charles date Diana’s sister before her and it didn’t work out. He later “courted” Diana. He never loved her and barely talked to her before or after the proposal and she was too naive to know any better. She thought he would love her as his wife.

I think the first direct heir to the throne to be allowed to marry a commoner is William. Kate comes from self-made wealthy millionaires, yet not aristocracy, and it was pretty significant that he was allowed to choose her. I think after Margaret, the Queen did not want to deny people from marrying who they wanted to if they were not the direct heir like Charles, who could not marry Camilla at the time because it was still too conservative of times for the head of the Church of England to be married to a divorced woman. Obviously, they eventually changed this and finally allowed Charles to marry her after Diana died. From my perspective, that is why Harry’s quick approval from the Queen to marry a (twice) previously married American actress after a short period of dating is unusual and surprising. He clearly pushed for it and they want him to be happy. The Sussex(es?) were recently gifted (told) to move to Frogmore Cottage where Edward/David and Wallis Simpson are buried. They are rumored to haunt it.

ETA: iMroney and CeeBeeGee explained Royal and aristocracy more clearly!

Okay, so I did the quickest of Google searches on this...because I had heard that in order to sell real estate in NYC you had to be an attorney.

It sounds like, from my understanding that there has to be an attorney to prepare and represent you for the contractual portion of the transaction.

    https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/selling-new-york-home-roles-your-attorney-real-estate-agent-will-play.html

I bet you Eric has been swindled into thinking he will have access to a fat inheritance once leida's parents die.  O have my doubts.

Also, I'm sure he'd like it if she became a well paid doctor and kept him in the manner to which he will like to become accustomed.

Yes. You definitely do not need to be an attorney to sell real estate in NYC. No degree is required other than passing the exam to get a real estate license. However, at the closing of the house, when signing legal paperwork, a real estate attorney is present in addition to the title broker and you pay each of them for their service at your house closing. I have a friend who used to be a title broker and I never understood how she made a good living just showing up at closings for an hour and getting paid. Still don’t! It’s a good job when the market is good and you have good networking. She is a real estate agent now. I have a friend who is a real estate attorney and she only goes to the closing and gets paid a fee.

I think all the millionaires were in Bohemian Grove...its in the Bay Area and always fascinated me...pretty cool reference

I agree. I think  The Cooperative is probably mimicking The Council of 300 with the true power in the 13 families (if you follow the history of many who report on this). They do meet at places like the Bilderberg Conference (the attendee list is public, what happens is never spoken of). That may be what they are mimicking here. I agree it is made to look like Bohemian Grove. Bohemian Grove only allows men though. I also find it fascinating as every President except Kennedy and Trump attended Bohemian Grove (not a political comment, just fact) before becoming President and they do, in fact, perform a ritual to Molach (yes, a Luciferian ritual) at that giant owl statue.

Speaking of “Scam Artists” a quick story.  This week, my husband and I got a call from a lawyer saying my Grandson was in jail with a DUI in a car accident with a broken nose, and he didn’t want his Father (my son)to know.  He said, to get him out of jail, we should go to Western Union and send $995.00 CASH to an address to the Dominican Republic to some women’s name.  We called my son and his wife, and my Grandson was sleeping in his bed.  This Con Artist called me back in about an hour after all that and I told him a few things that  I don’t want to repeat.  Everyone on here, BEWARE of these phone calls.  They are Con Artists thinking seniors are stupid.  I’ll bet a lot of Grandparents send the money.

OMG! @Gem This attempted scam has happened to my parents three times! The first time they got my dad who has dementia and the person said it was his grandson and in jail with a broken nose and needed $600 for bail. When he asked which grandson, he said my nephews name, Michael (who it is not implausible that this could happen to him, but there is NO WAY he would ever call my parents). My mom thought my dad was confused and dreamed it with all of his memory problems and then a few weeks later she got the same call! She said the person said he was a lawyer and calling for her grandson who needed money for bail in Atlantic City. His name even popped up on the caller ID. My mom asked which grandson, and again the person said Michael!! But she said it sounded strange and she hung up. She called the number back and the guy answered saying his name and she asked a question and he hung up, so she knew it was a scam. Now months later, I am at my parents house and answered the phone and got the same call saying it’s your grandson and need money. I asked a very skeptical question and they hung up. Someone in the community where my parents live got this similar call and sent a lot of money to the person because she thought her grandchild was in trouble. So this is definitely a huge scam going on and targeted at older people. I have no idea how they knew my nephews first name or if it was a lucky guess— be careful and warn seniors, as they seem to be being targeted.

As for something on topic, MJ’s speech was hella awkward and she was drunk-naming every person in the room as she noticed them. I think she really was grateful and wanted to thank everyone and feeling mushy and she kept naming more people to include them too... yet it was a drunk rambling list a la Bubba naming every shrimp for days in Forrest Gump. Tommy’s “great speech! Yeah keep naming people!  Hahahaha!!” was so hilariously right on and EXACTLY what was happening, which is why I love Tommy; however it was inappropriate to yell it out and he seemed to be laughing AT her in the moment when she was floundering when I feel like that was a time that he could have stepped up to be supportive and help her move along in the speech as a partner, instead of making fun of her. He then could have made fun of her in private and they could have a good laugh about her ridiculousness and she would have named people for 4 days and I think MJ would laugh about it after too. But in the moment, she needed support and not to be jeered at from her groom— especially since he was not very involved in the planning and it was all MJ and it was clearly rushed and not organized and she was very stressed about all the wedding events. I was sad to be disappointed in Tommy because I want to really like him for MJ. Tommy’s comment was hysterical if it was made at brunch the next day and he was not the groom; yet as the groom, I felt he could have helped her out instead of pointing and laughing at her. Do a little better Tommy and give her some support in this stressful process and help her enjoy it!! Stop laughing and take this seriously. I was rooting for you! We were ALL ROOTING FOR YOU!! (™️ Tyra ANTM meltdown) ?

Angela does not have a mustache.  She would wax or pluck it if she did.  In a previous discussion about this it seems she may have a scar or under certain lighting it is a shadow.  It certainly isn't hair.

I always see that as self-tanner that got caked in dry skin patch or caught in peach fuzz above her lip. Good exfoliation would eliminate it. It was the first thing I noticed about her and felt badly that her self-tanner kind of caked to look like a mustache under the lights of the DR.

What is the symbolism/meaning of the constant shot of FANS and sometimes air conditioners?  Anyone else notice that?

I don’t know, however, my interpretation was that it showed and reminded us constantly how hot it is there in the summer. It is another aspect of the grim environment in Wind Gap, it is super hot and humid, yet many buildings are old and without central air. The heat is another conflict they all constantly battle. Rooms always have in room air conditioners or fans. It also shows how Camille’s outfit choice sticks out in weather like that and looks so out of place compared to others and to wear heavy black long clothes in that heat is odd (we know she is covering herself) in that environment.

  8. Regarding the name Cherry, I got the impression that it was from the memory Camille had when Adora confronted her in the kitchen and said she was going to the store. She shamed her because of her scars when she asked for cream. She then looked at Camille and said, “I’m glad to see you eating, you haven’t eaten a thing since you got here” and held the stare a very long time watching Camille stand eating a cherry pie (without a plate) left over from Calhoun Day (?) As she held her stare, Camille flashed to the memory of jumping in that same doorway in her cheerleading uniform to show it off and Miriam exclaiming how great she looked, saying, “Mama, doesn’t she look like you could just take a bit out of her?” Adora never looked up from the sink and said, “Yes, like a nice big ROUND cherry” to young short haired Camille in her red uniform and her face fell. Camille, in present time, realized adoring was staring so long and said, “What?” and Adora gave her a disappointed look and Camille put the fork down. It gave me the impression that Adora always told her or made her feel not pretty enough or thin enough or loveable enough and that she shouldn’t eat if she wants to be pretty and popular, as Ashley said, “That’s all that matters” (contrasted with what we see the popular kids in Amma’s group do and how they behaved when Camille was young too). Camille put down the fork to stop eating the pie and went over and gave a hug to the housekeeper to thank her for loving her unconditionally and suggesting she eat some left over pie, contrasted with her cold mother who never missed an opportunity to shame her by saying she never eats while simultaneously implying, “should you really be eating that?” Further, as Camille’s hair grew long in to her teens, I got the feeling that she had the nickname Cherry for her red hair. Yet like everything else in Wind Gap, everything means more than it appears on the surface. The boys may have called her Cherry because they know they took part in taking her virginity in the woods. That last sentence is only a guess and an inference because Cherry is one of the words carved on her upper leg. So it is a painful word that she uses to punish herself. The hurtful words of others carved in to her skin because they are who she believed she was at a time.

I agree that that it seems weird that Camille would be pulled in to hanging out with Amma. However, we have seen that 1) Camille is very curious about finding out more of what is going on with the teens even if she doesn’t think this is a smart way to do it;and 2) Amma is clearly sociopathically level manipulative. She seems to know what people want and need and crave and enjoys tempting them and playing on their weaknesses to get what she wants. Camille is still mourning (or never properly did mourn) her younger sister and she seems to subconsciously want to protect Amma or please or pacify her and she responds to the “you’re my sister and I want to know you and spend time with you!” She also doesn’t like seeing Amma drunk or high and feels need to stay nearby as if that could help somehow. Amma knows this and plays on these strings. She also knows her sister LIVES in pain and therefore offered her an oxy (Percocet) after that horrendous night with the bitches at Beaches and mind it sound not a big deal and so enticing and got the whole car to pressure her to take it. Then purposely gave her ecstasy. I think Amma is fascinated by Camille and does want to know her as her darkness fascinated her and she is tired of playing at manipulating everyone else in Wind Gap and this is a new interesting person. Amma craves a sister, yet not in the way Camille does. Amma says hurtful things and then is sweetly contrite the next day and throws her arms around Camille. Camille is a new fascinating factor in town (and she got out of the town) so Amma is fascinated by her in a sociopathic way of wanting to get close to learn what lies beneath, so she can understand her, and likely manipulate her (that seems how Amma operates— she doesn’t seem to have true empathy or any true remorse for her actions).

I also get the feeling that Adora had something to do with Camille’s sister’s death. Her cause of death is left unexplained except that she was “always sickly” and we saw her in the spinning flashback with Camille getting more and more weak and skeletal like. It makes me think there is some kind of Munchausen by proxy situation in which Adora hurt one of her daughters, by keeping her ill, due to the attention and sympathy it brought her. She is forever a fragile flower and a saint because she had a daughter who died, who she and Camille never had a conversation about. She was cruel and hurt Camille in different ways. I suspect Adora telling Alan the cruel things her mother did to her are things that she did to Camille, which was blowing Camille’s mind during that conversation with Alan. Adora finds a way to blame everyone else for her pains and made Camille her target of her pain for losing her daughter and Camille took it out on her body. Amma is a similar sociopath and thus, knows, how to play to her mother’s needs and she does whatever she has to in order to get approval. Adora is now lost in her own world fugued by alcohol and not that close in raising Amma, so that if Amma satisfies a few things it satisfies her mothers needs and she is left alone. Something Camille was NEVER able to do.

ETA: I don’t know anything so this is pure speculation, yet it seems like Amma is a true sociopath without feelings beyond using her charm to get what she wants. It seems as though she is possibly evil and cruel enough to be the killer of the girls and may also be a factor in why she wants to get closer to her sister who is investigating the murders. Amma is inserting herself a bit and seems to love playing with fire to see how much she can fool people and get away with things— especially to those closest to her. It is just a strange feeling I get when I see Amma smile when she manipulates Camille in to doing what she wants— especially something she shouldn’t do, like taking drugs and partying together. A micro expression of satisfaction of successfully drawing her in and again having control over another person’s behavior.

Actual degreed person weighing in lol. If I had to guess, I’d say he has BPD. People with anti-social personality disorder are not emo and aggressively take advantage of people.

Jax is a philanderer and opportunist when it comes to sex, but he’s not aggressively trying to take advantage of people for money or other things. And he pays his own way and isn’t a mooch. People with APD have no feelings whatsoever and Jax feels sorry for himself all the time. I get the feeling he looks for his current or next girlfriend to fill up the emotional emptiness inside of him. Initially a new relationship does that, but eventually it peters out. When that happens, Jax moves on to the next gf and repeats the cycle but it never works bc a relationship can’t “fix” what’s wrong with him inside.

Also, someone with APD would not care at all about dumping someone. The fact that Jax can never do this, has self-image issues that change constantly, is always looking for someone to complete him, and can’t bring himself to end a relationship that’s making him miserable all smacks of BPD.

I completely agree. I am also a requested "degreed" person. Dr. Lucky London is a Clinical Psychologist. I have spent a lot of time watching Jax and do not see psychopathy. What appears antisocial (breaking the law, the rules don't apply to him, treating people badly) is really a lot of self sabotage and the charismatic drama of borderline personality disorder. It is often overlooked in men and the aggression and self harm is turned outward and they are labeled antisocial. Jax does not regularly engage in empathy if he doesn't want to, yet he knows he is a piece of shit for what he does and he feels really terrible about himself and always wants new women to feed his ego and tell him he is great because he feels so broken and damaged. Very classic borderline behavior and he is very charming. Not even close to psychopathy for me. As crazy as it is, the mindfulness meditation type techniques Jax is learning from the "Reiki Healer" are a great tool for a borderline disordered personality that loses touch witch reality when experiencing overwhelming emotion.

Because Luckylondon, that post above I did read and glad you re-posted it in this episode for more to see.  Really excellent post and great food for thought.  They really are pushing CERN on this show for all to see.  Also liked your ETA about the rape of the Congo too.

Thanks @green! I did see that you saw the post in episode 1 and I am glad to hear that you don't mind me re-posting it here as it applies here too. I am loving reading your knowledgeable and insightful posts on the show and that of all the others posting as well!

I am enjoying the writing, plot, and characters of this show at what seems like the perfect appropriate current zeitgeist for this show. It all seems crazy because Elliot clearly deals with psychosis and now with integrating his alter dissociated identities; yet, the content is actually quite relevant which is its own mindfuck in many ways. It makes the characters motivations for their behavior fascinating given the context in which they operate and it makes it a challenge in who to root for because they all have their reasons. At times, I want them all to succeed just to see what will happen, even when they are working against each other because I understand where each is coming from. To me, THAT inclination to empathasize and understand each character (when each is deeply flawed and pathological in their actions) is a tribute to the excellent writing of this show and makes watching it a super adrenaline filled rush.

Being God Emperor of this world isn't going to last but a handful of years because Whiterose is mortal.  And obsessed with time because he/she knows that.  Yes CERN is a major player as well as other factors of cutting edge science as Whiterose attempts to conquer time.

And the flashback to Li'l Angela had a death party for her mother who told her they would meet again in another world.  That she, the mother, believed in that other world and wanted Angela to as well.  That says that her mother at least and probably Elliot's father both knew what the Washington Township Project was all about.  Or believed they did as in another world out of the time stream where everyone could be together forever like the science religion of heaven.

Funny though that the movers and shakers of the world really aren't.  They "control stuff" for less than a second in eternity and are controlled by their wishes and desires and fears so are slaves themselves.  Buddha said all life is suffering as the first of his four noble truths.  Why?  Because not only is there suffering from not getting what you want or getting something horrible you don't want but even if you get all that you think you want you will lose it in the end because it is all in time and will pass away.

The rest of his noble truths are that (2) suffering arises from desire so (3) the way to end suffering is to end desire.  The fourth noble truth was his yogic practices he taught to escape the realm of maya and desire.  Lots more of course but I'm already way off topic ... well only kind of because ...

Whiterose and their ilk are diseased people who have no real power in the end because they are enslaved to desire and are mere transitory mortals trapped in time.  Whiterose does realize the trap of time in this drama at least so that puts him/her ahead of Evil Corp's CEO.  But in the end he/she is enslaved by desire and is therefore looking for nirvana in all the wrong places, hah.

Also to the person above that said China ruled the world for thousands of years.  Huh?  China barely ruled part of it's own current land mass for that amount of time and was usually warring with itself among various Chinese states like Europe was among various European states.  When not being invaded and overrun by the Mongols of course.  As well as long periods of what we would call today a "failed state" scenario playing out as order broke down.

And outside of some invasions of Vietnam, the Chinese rarely went outside their cultural area looking to conquer other people.  Except for the brief period of their grand exploration and trade fleet -- and very brief it was, less than a generation at it's peak -- the Chinese were pretty inward looking isolationists who saw no need to go outside their large land base and co-mingle with "barbarians" on the whole.

This is a fantastic post and I wish I could like it 100 times. So very well said @green! I completely agree with what you assert here and I love how you articulated WR's potential perspective in relation to time and spirituality. Additionally, thank you for the correction on the history of China's approach to global politics. You articulated what I was trying to get at and did not because what you wrote is what I was thinking regarding China, yet I said/wrote it wrong due to laziness of not wanting to look for more information to get it right. Thank you! I amended that part of my post.

I am loving this season and excited about the show again like I was in Season 1. I love reading what you all think of the show and your reactions and impressions. The topic is real enough to feel socially and culturally relevant because we are becoming aware in the news, at least, that ALL OF THIS *IS* actually happening in real life and how government is protecting business instead of people AND how foreign governments are exploiting our penchant for getting on a soapbox and shouting to those among us who share the same ideas and ignoring those who don't. This is the exact type of psychological operations our own government is desperate to find and use to manipulate the minds of our enemies without using physical force and/or create technological hacks and viral infections that can wipe out the utility grid of entire countries to crush their ability to function (e.g. Stuxnet virus in Iran), if needed. We now know that Russia DID interfere with our electoral process and did buy advertising and spend Human Resources on BOTH sides of civil rights issues in order to provide kindling and stoke the fire of our attention and ire on each other, rather than focusing on what they were doing in the shadows. Thus, because the show is a scripted drama and depicts a semi-post- apocalyptic version of a future after 5/9, it is at an arms length enough distance for the show to be exciting and thrilling, and it can function as an entertaining, illuminating, cautionary parable of how slippery the slope is when "the end justifies the means."

I think Whiterose is getting close to Bond villain status.  She’s an interesting character, but what’s her point, to take over the world?

I can see this show ending with Elliot as the new Whiterose or something.

I understand this. However, I think WR represents the REAL PUPPETMASTERS. We don't know them or their names, yet they pull the strings to make the big players we DO KNOW dance. Given that the show IS alluding to a "New World Order" one global economy (I think that has been established as a premise), the question is always who is involved? The CORPORATION- EVIL CORPORATION? Or is it the PEOPLE? And if it IS the people... WHO are they and how much control do they have? Do they know they are puppets (ehhhh... a little bit, but not fully)? And if it is not ECorp... then who is it? People like White Rose who don't want you to know their name. The Global Cabal is not run by Price and the other heads of corporate conglomerates or the government officials. Yes, they run things and get things done... however, the real power lies with those that we don't even know exist-- and if we do hear of them, they sound unbelievable, like a made up villain like White Rose and those who may know are easily dismissed because people say "that's not real" or "she's not real" or whatever. Her power lies in the shadows that the players don't even fully realize they are achieving her agenda. Yes, there are 6 companies which own almost all other companies in the world and the Council of 300 has a smaller council of 13 families from bloodlines. Yet the shadows are where the strings are being pulled to make those well known people move in the way that they want them too. They may feel their own actions are negotiations to achieve mutual goals; yet, we know from watching that they are manipulated like puppets, too, to achieve a larger agenda. For example, White Rose moving forward on Stage 2 and destroying Prince's "little company" (world conglomerate ECorp) in 1 day for no other reason than WR thinks "Price needs his hand slapped" to remind him who really is in control. If you follow cultural themes about the New World Order agenda or have at least heard of this, China IS their biggest problem. They don't want to play or acquiesce to demands. They are that large in size, population, wealth, and trans global investments to not be pushed in to a currency deal.  They have A LOT of global power. People like Price think they can negotiate diplomatically to reach a goal each wants; yet, China (or in this show, WR) laughs at us for this combination of entitled arrogance and näivity. I think this works well in the show and also reflects the globalsocioeconomic factors occurring in real life around us.

This show is so well done in depicting all of these different TYPES of perceived power and what they can actually do versus what they are actually doing when the right strings are pulled-- they end up dancing to the tune of the string puller. All the world is a stage.

Well theoretical physicists will tell you this is reality and the Cern collider is out to prove it to the science believers.  So will Hindu and Buddhist and Sikh and Taoist sages and seerers not that the arrogant leaders of the world would ever listen to them.  Which is probably for the best given the current leaders of the world at any given time and especially right now.

Unfortunately in this show's world one of these movers and shakers, Whiterose, is well aware of the possibilities.  And another, the Evil Corp CEO who is "leasing" the NJ place to Whiterose, is in on it too.  Though Whiterose seems to see him as a temporary needed annoyance at this point with emphasis on the temporary part.

Speaking of this show's world, how the hell does one country "annex" another?  There are strong economic spheres of influence in our world and in our world China has bought up tons of farming land in Africa -- not the Congo but in east African countries -- as well as a lot of mines.  But "politically" annex it is basically new-speak colonialism.  Why would the UN approve?  Even if Whiterose has the US government manipulated why would Russia approve?  Why would the Congo allow itself to be "annexed" without people rioting and the army fighting back?

Yes the Congo has approached failed state status at times but even in this show's world this to me is far less "real" than parallel universes.  Economic imperialism goes on but crossing the line to overt political colonialism for the whole world to take note of just doesn't seem a necessary step for any mega-country already having a puppet ruler in place.  And costly.  Chinese troops will have to be sent in to keep the peace etc.  A quagmire in the making.  You can get all of that mineral you want with economic pressure + old fashioned bribery instead.

At the very least call it a peace keeping mission requested by your Congolese puppet to help out in his civil war.  Even make the Congo a "protectorate".  But "annex" is such a weird and obnoxious term to use.

Yes. This is definitely about control of the Large Hadron Collider that is run by CERN, funded with gazillions of dollars by the G20 countries. They showed the LHC again this episode. So the allusion here is that time travel is possible through use of the LHC. It was more clear when Price gave the talk at the G20 summit is another nod to it as Price talks about a one world global economy in front of the sponsor posters saying G20 with a logo of a leaf looking like healthy new beginnings. I want to copy my post from the first episode because I posted so late that I don't think many saw it. I hope that is ok.

Ok, I have been thinking how to put this and hoping someone else would bring it up, but I haven't seen it in the threads yet, so I will try.

The opening sequence for this episode this season, when it says Mr. Robot in red type, is on-screen over video inside the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) that is under the mountains in Switzerland and is called C.E.R.N.  The G20 countries contribute zillions of dollars to this project where they are attempting to "re-create the Big Bang" study dark matter or create black holes. It is all very strange and there is a statue of the Hindu Goddess of Destruction outside the above ground building. There are a lot of theories on what they say they are doing and what they really are attempting to do there. Stephen Hawking said it is very dangerous and can "destroy time." I don't even begin to know what that means but it sounds scary and it is even scarier because he then reversed his statement the next day and gave a very official PR type platitude statement about it which made me fear for his life and mine for even thinking about it. I'm joking. Kind of. They are said by some (I don't know who and what sources, there is tons of information on the internet and YouTube about it) to have accomplished time travel pretty easily; and this LHC, once used at full capacity, can create a hole in the space time continuum-- I don't know enough physics to understand it. I do know that they get it running to a certain percentage and then a magnet is not working and the schedule is delayed. There is some info from employees about having it scheduled to be at full power to work on certain dates that have power in mystical or occult practices and this is constantly alluded to with the show and the use of 5/9 (as an example), which, if you believe in theories about a Global Cabal making decisions and using puppets and manipulating geography, economic, social and political climate to create a one world global economy, then you can be interested in why some people say C.E.R.N. is being used to manipulate time for nefarious purposes. Or it could be used to punch a hole through our time dimension into another time dimension and have it serve as a portal or "stargate" to usher (human and other) beings between dimensions. None of this is new, this practice of attempting to accomplish this goes back to ancient civilizations including Mayans, Egyptians and others and is all based on advanced multi-dimensional math. I have NO IDEA how they could/would do it. Just wanted to tell you that the opening scene is definitely the LHC and they are talking about manipulating time. You can google CERN and Dance of Destruction and see some weird things. You don't have to believe they have achieved time travel (personally, I agree with Irving), you just have to know that they ARE showing us THE LHC and that is the means by which what the show is likely getting at with the time travel stuff and why different people (governments, global economic conglomerates like E-corp, or White Rose and The Dark Army) want this power to potentially manipulate time. They know it exists but not how to control it... yet... or they do know how to control it and this show is all an allegory with tons of foreshadowing. Out of chaos breeds economic opportunity. In real life, the LHC has not yet run at full power.

***ETA after this episode: At 25-50%, they have created dark matter and black holes within this sub atomic particle collider. China is also the country that is not easily going along with joining this effort towards a world economy in real life, as well; and considering they have about 1/7th of the population and are invested EVERYWHERE, there are whole seperate plans to deal with China. That is the only reason I can actually see the global economic Cabal agreeing to "give" China the Democratic Republic of Congo... simply because they can. There is a long history of giving away land in political negotiations. Yes, it seems incredulous and like Imperialism of centuries past; however, they fact that they can pass a UN resolution and give away a free country to be raped and pillaged for its resources AGAIN is exactly the kind of global greed and lack of concern for any person/people when achieving economic means that this show is about.

Second post from Season 3 Premiere:

I think it's possible. My only question is, if Whiterose has built some sort of time machine then why does he behave as though he doesn't have a minute to spare when on some level he would have more time than most people? Maybe he's tapped into something but doesn't have full control over it?

The part in the episode that really made me curious was the speech from the executive at the power plant.

"I love a great mystery. And I'm fascinated by the greatest unsolved mystery. Do we see reality as it is? If I close my eyes and imagine...if I close my eyes I can imagine that everything we experience, everything we see, think and do is unfolding simultaneously in a parallel universe. So, how many copies of ourselves exist? And might our mental states be conjoined for better or worse?"

This seems like an important quote and more and more I'm getting the impression that Elliot isn't the only character with an alter ego.

Luckylondon wrote: Yes! When we see the engineers on this tour in the hallway and the leader makes this statement, White Rose and the other man walk past and in to a room. The plaque in the hall says ECorp Power Plant. The two men have a discussion in the room about why White Rose INSISTS that Elliot is a key piece to Stage 2 due to work tied to something his father started. Then as the shot opens, we see they are viewing the inside of the Large Hadron Collider which smashes subatomic particles and is underground in Switzerland run by C.E.R.N. It is said that scientists and engineers there are doing many things with dark matter and trying to create black holes, recreate the Big Bang, open portals to other space time dimensions, and, yes, time travel. This is more than a conspiracy theory. The LHC exists, you can google all about C.E.R.N. and the LHC and watch YouTube videos about it. This is not a subtle hint at all that time travel is possible. The show is showing WR at the facility (pretending it is run by ECorp), and it is what is the imposing image when MR. ROBOT episode title appears on screen. They are hinting they have time travel using this machine (see post above for more about the LHC). That is tremendous power to move through space and time and CAN affect EVERYTHING. Which is why Elliot is key over WR's assistant, as he may need to go back to interact with someone who knows him, like his father. I have no idea what WR wants to do with it specifically, that is only a guess relating to Elliot. However, it is obvious why ECorp would want this. Everyone would want this "God-like" power to move through time.

This is what they are officially doing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Hadron_Collider

There is a lot of information available about what else they could do with this creating dark holes for time travel and has been discussed in books and movies.

    *end of previous posts*

In this episode when they talked about if WR can really do "it"? They again showed the LHC, so this is the how of the time travel. Depending on which astrophysicists you talk to or other people, this is either extremely possible or is already easily done and has been done. It makes my brain hurt and explode to think of the implications. I think it is cool that this show is including this in the geoeconomicpolitical battles because the LHC is real and is a factor. Especially for someone like WR who understands the extreme value of time and long term strategy and the "meta" level of the game of power.

ETA: I have no idea why this whole thing is bold and I don't know how to undo that. Apologies :/

I think her name may be "Victorious".    That is what Donn said in Turks and Caicos when they renewed there vows.  I hate that I know/remember this.    But I just checked the Google machines and it has Victoria.   I want her name to be "Victorious".

Ha! Lol! Yes, Vicky tried to pretend her name was Victory briefly for a bit and Donn called her Victory. There was a dramatic scripted 1-hour show  that lasted on NBC for one season between 2007-2008 called "Lipstick Jungle" and featured 3 career women in NYC in their 30's (? I think). It starred Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, and Lindsey Price as a character named Victory. She was beautiful and I, myself, thought it was a clever name given to her by her parents at the time. The actress was gorgeous, the character was smart, successful, driven and adorably sexy in all her competence in life.

It was after this Lipstick Jungle show  aired that Donn started to call our Vicky, Victory, and smile about it and it seemed to *me* that they both wanted to pretend that was always her name-- you know Vicky never let's the truth get in the way of a good story (lol!). I remember Donn referring to her as Victory and Vicky would say it too (I think around the time of the vow renewal). They tried to act like that was her name, but it is not. That charade didn't last long, thank good goodness.

1.) I hope there's a giant Kelly/Peggy fight.  That would fill my cold shriveled heart with glee.

2.) Lydia's jacket is ridiculous and I love it (the jacket, not it being ridiculous).  It's the best sparkle she's had all season.

    3.) Vicki looks like shit.

THIS!! My exact thoughts! Lydia's jacket was ridiculous in the best way and draped around her shoulders a la a Kardashian and it was all I could see in that prayer circle.

Kelly getting so annoyed by every single thing Peggy said and did was hilarious. "We're going in SHIFTS!!", "It's an ANALOGY!!!" "How do you LIVE in America?!!" >.< LMAO!

Vicky... wow. She hated the ATVs and the glacier hike was rough and she was hurtin' and wanted to whoop it up! Can't she just whoop it up? She finally got to whoop it up in Shannon's room and cry and make up with Tamra because she had a medical scare for her heart condition  due to the high altitude. Hilarious. She did look like she was dying, complete with nausea, sweats, and face melting... from the worst Iwillneverdrinkagain Imgonnaneedadrink hangover ever.

  19. I have no idea about the book nor have I looked at any spoilers, however, the constant showing of the pattern and then the fact that Cora and Maddie were drugged and then maybe hunted in the woods sounds like she may have been brought in to some type of cult or "society" with ritual abuse that traumatized and fractured her mind and she was used for sex. Perhaps she was taken and drugged and as a sex slave for men?  I may be totally off base because she was only involved for 2 months, yet perhaps she found a way to escape? She spoke of feeling trapped and helpless and that the other girl did too. Because her memory has dissociated all of this trauma, she blames herself because that is what she has always done and was taught to do as a child through adulthood. Bad things happen because of her actions and because SHE is a sinner, not that others have sinned against her.

So interested to see where this goes! I like the Detective and he has his own issues that he feels relief being punished for; however, it does seem a plot stretch that he would continue to work the case and get the psychologist to do hypnotherapy and spend his time determining motive when she passed the 730 exam, is deemed fit to stand trial, AND plead guilty and was simply awaiting sentencing. The NY State court, prisons, and mental health system is unlikely to put in resources once the case is finished. It doesn't make sense that the Detetive is reluctantly allowed by his superiors to work on this if the case is closed. He would likely have to move on to a new case. I understand that he is looking for information for mitigating factors that will affect her sentencing, yet that is not the job of the police at that point. It would be the responsibility of the defense attorney. However, I am fine overlooking this stretch of reality for the sake of the story!
