  1. Yes - passive aggressive and it put Laura in her place without having to say a word. Kate doesn't have to take Laura aside and counsel her, she doesn't have to go to Captain Lee again and she doesn't have to trot out tired sayings like "I'm not here to make friends." If Laura is smart enough to get it, Kate has to do something like that one time and it's (hopefully) over.
  2. This totally makes sense. I had been thinking that it was likely that one of the guests came back to their room sometime during dinner (after all we really only see snippets of a two hour affair) and used the bathroom - washed hands, washed face, whatever. I took a fancy cruise once and every time one of our party went back to the room, everything was put back perfectly right after you left. It was like little elves working on that ship because you never saw them. I would think this boat would have the same/higher standards than a cruise line.
  3. I would never say that anyone is a bad person because you often don't see behavior through the full context of what is going on around and in the life of that person. However, other less than stellar adjectives might apply just based on what we have seen. Caroline whines and gripes and moans and complains ad nauseum. That's all we have seen of her: a jittery, nervous mess who grouses, grumbles and sobs her way through each day. The constant repetition is not amusing, not charming and not interesting. We would all be better off if the beating of the dead horse would cease. Thank you.
  4. Where to start? ;-D The playing of the loud music was obnoxious but I totally understand it. I could feel myself getting angry at Caroline and I, too, would be damned if she was going to sleep in that morning while everyone else was busting ass. There is no way I would let her sleep. I see locking the door as the first shot across the bow. I think that Caroline decided on a course of action to screw everyone over as much as possible and Kate was not going to stand for it. I agree that it would have been better for Kate and Josiah to take the high road but... As for Rhylee, I know, you know, America knows that she is capable of doing much more work than has been asked of her. But those other duties don't go away. She's still low man and she still has to get those "little" things done first. Ross gets to decide the best use for his people and that should be respected.
  5. I have questions about the mess that Kate and Josiah came back to, I was so focused on Chandler's ineptitude and night time quickly approaching that I didn't think about what should be happening on the boat. Caroline was there the entire time and I would suppose that she continue her daily routine of laundry/cleaning common areas and turn down the state rooms. And then what? Adrian probably left a mess in the kitchen and was on island until late. We usually see him cleaning up as he goes but the end mess is usually cleaned up by interior and/or a deck crew member if interior is swamped. I wonder if Caroline as well as Chandler are the kind of people who do what is asked and not one thing more. Kate was so upset that she went to the Captain because she had to be responsible for cleaning up the party and for the mess that was just left on the boat. Did Caroline consider it a "free" night when the guests were away? That kitchen should have been spotless and everything (oranges squeezed) ready to go for the morning. I also get the feeling, based on different people's reactions to Caroline, that her nasty exchanges go on for much longer than we have seen. The show needs to only show a small part for the viewers to get the gist of the situation. When people begin avoiding interactions with her and taking everything she says in the worst light from the get go, they have learned that she is someone that doesn't listen and you can never "win" because there are no true conversations with her.
  6. While I didn't like Mike pulling the trigger, I do understand why he did it. Mike was living up to his code which was explained to Jimmy in season 1. Mike contracted with Gus to keep all those men in the compound and when Mike broke the contract, he had to clean up the mess. Also, with Mike doing it that was the only way the Werner's wife came out of it alive. Mike looks out for the innocents. I wonder how Mike will feel about Lalo killing off the Western Union guy - reminds me of the innocent guy in the desert killed by another Salamanca. Jimmy had me fooled about three times in this episode. Is it so wrong that I still want to believe him? I must be an easy mark.
  7. Jimmy tells her what he wishes someone had told him years ago so he wouldn't have wasted so much time pursuing a life at HHM or some other big law firm. He was in essence letting Young Jimmy know what was in store for him, that he will never be a winner, that he will always be looked down on no matter what degree he has earned or what big case he brought in to the firm.
  8. It looks like Captain Lee insisted on a seasoned crew for this Tahitian folly. (I really did not like the green crew given to him last year - it made one fearful for the passengers.) But leave it to Bravo to find an experienced bosun with a stripper background ;-D
  9. As far as Jimmy being married twice, I don't take that as gospel because Saul lied all the time. We see him making up stories left and right to get out of tight situations or to try and find "common ground" with someone whose good side he wants to be on. (Also, I dimly remember him complaining about one ex-wife sleeping with his father (?) and his father has been dead for some time and didn't seem like the type of man to do something like that. Does anyone else recall something like that?)
  10. In the end Carole ended her Howife marathon the same way she began - as too cool for school. Too cool to stick up for a friend (acquaintance?) sitting right next to her and too cool to exit gracefully. Instead she gets together with another perceived Cool Kid and posts a video making fun of someone else's livelihood. Truly head scratching. As Carole is known for taking on the personalities of her current besties, that doesn't say much for Cassandra Grey. If this is girl-power and empowering women, I don't want any part of it.
  11. I understand Carole feeling uncomfortable but not feeling unsafe which 'menacing' implies. For a writer, Carole often has trouble finding the right words.
  12. Poor Tinsley! It seems like copping to being her friend is a very uncool thing to do - at least according to Carol. Tinsley is sitting there blushing and I feel so bad for her. It's just like being the last one picked in gym class.
  13. Hmmm... something in the environment is triggering Dorinda. Could it be the gin? tequila? vodka?
  14. I was thinking that the biker gang might want more of those phones. They might run into Jimmy at one of his hangouts and ask why he isn't coming around anymore and they may provide some kind of protection for him. Either that or it's time to find Huell.
  15. Hear me out, I view the "break up"of Bethenny and Carol as a good thing. I would like these never-ending reunions to be over so the B-C discussions (on the show) can come to a close. I do like Bethenny's snarky comments and witty asides. However, I can't take the consuming neediness and all the times she takes it out on other people when things in her personal life are going south. This year's tirade at the Berkshires (where nothing was "nice") was the last I ever want to see/hear (my freaking eardrums!) of that behavior. In future I will be fast forwarding or not watching at all. I liked Carol's snarky comments this year - she really upped her game in that regard. However, I have always viewed Carol as a poseur (see "little" Carol in pigtails on the handlebars of a bike) and my gut tells me that she has pissed off (belittled, condescended to?) people behind the scenes at Bravo because they seem to delight in showing her as being lazy and self-indulgent (see not caring/lying about missing deadlines, etc...). Carol also seems to take on the personality of her current close friends as she behaved quite differently with Heather as BFF as she did with Beth. (Could Ramona have hit in on the head when she described Carol as not being her own person? Even a stopped clock ...) I really didn't like their behavior as a duo. They are no Lisa and Kyle. Didn't they skulk outside of someone's beach house (Luann's?) because they didn't like the people inside but were contractually obligated to appear. Didn't they also try to leave without telling anyone? Who does that? They were rude to the others on numerous occasions and quite happy with each other in their own insulated world. I don't know what mutual nastiness in their true personalities brought them together (because they seem to be quite opposite to each other) but I am glad I won't have to see them together anymore.
  16. But Carol, unlike your child, doesn't create anything for the most part. If her daily bread depended on her writing output for the last five years, she would be a homeless person at a soup kitchen. Carol seems to float around writing, hover over writing and glide by the writing. Not much writing seems to get done. Where's that cookbook co-authored by Adam? She's a "play writer" in that she plays at writing from time to time, producing nothing.
  17. I understand what you are saying about Carol's life output of work but... when I think of Carol, based on observing her for years on this show, the first adjective that pops into my head is lazy. We have been shown many instances of her pushing off work, missing deadlines, lying about missing deadlines, proposing books, articles but not putting in work on the project. We never see her work. We never hear her talking about working on things on a daily basis. Carol seems to live for other things like being a wanna-be fashionista and all-around Cool Kid. Bethenny does know the work needed to produce a book since she's written a few. Granted, they are low-end self-help tomes that could never be compared to What Remains. However I do think they could be compared to the Widow's Guide in the bargain basement of easy to write, easy to forget tomes. I don't remember what else Carol has produced since she has been on this show. If you asked me what Carol's career was this decade, I would say poseur.
  18. But before he passed, he asked an assistant to get him some Narcan. Is that the next big status thing for the rich and powerful? " Why yes I have an assistant follow me around with Narcan in case I can't hold my opioids. Anybody need some?"
  19. She probably doesn't remember. Does anyone have a text we could show her? Carol likes those.
  20. To point out that someone is acting in a childish manner is not age shaming. Bethenny is criticizing Carol but she is not age-shaming. I really can't take Carol-as-victim.
  21. When you can fly to Los Angeles to console your friend for four months and then spend the months following at the Hamptons, I don't think you have a career. You dally in things, you hover over things, you think deep thoughts, ... this is just not a career.
  22. Bethenny mentioned that she had just been at an intervention - could that have been for Dennis? I missed the beginning (damn early time slot) of the show; did they mention him at all since he did appear multiple times?
