  1. Looks like Alex will still be alive with that shot of lots of blood, but no body. There's something up with Ellen's friend. There has to be. Whenever a character who is struggling gets to have some fun with someone they just met who's outgoing and forward about wanting to be their BFF, it's practically guaranteed that new BFF is evil and conniving.
  2. Between the pushback on her grumpy old men comment and being outnumbered and out-debated on the transgender issue, she had the wind knocked right out of her sails.
  3. This is an interesting article that shows the cold hard facts of the Bachelor/ette to influencer pipeline. The numbers just aren't there anymore. I think Zach and Kaity are business savvy enough to be aware of the fact that making a living as an influencer ain't what it used to be. They both have successful careers and it would be crazy to leave them for a career that's on the decline.
  4. I want a research study on people like the laughing hyena in the audience. Why do they do this? Is this a natural born laugh or something they've curated as part of their brand? If it's natural, are they aware of how annoying they are, or do they look around and wonder why no one else is having as much fun as they are?
  5. In case anyone was wondering about the poll Bill was referring to regarding people using student debt relief for vacations, here it is. Of special note is the graph that shows the answer choices the respondents had. This is one of many BS polls that are nothing more than talking point producers. When Bernie asked Bill who conducted this poll, Bill knew he was lying when he said NBC. A lot of the "facts" Bill's been sharing lately come from questionable sources. If he had a policy of posting links to the references he cites, he'd have less "facts" to work with when it comes to his war on college and wokeness.
  6. There's also a lot of us who don't care much for Bill, but enjoy the show overall and appreciate how unique and important it is to have a show like this within such a polarized society.
  7. Bill opening an interview with "here's something we have in common, you're from Europe and I find that Europeans like me more because of their sophistication" is next level narcissism. CW simply stating he's a naturalized citizen who watched the superbowl was next level IDGAF and I loved it. So on this episode Bill managed to shoehorn three of his personal grievances. 1: These kids today with the wokeness amiright in the form of "asking a question" of CW about how he feels about the topic seeing that he has young adult kids with CW basically not responding (did Bill expect the man to insult his own kids in front of millions?) 2: College sucks and isn't necessary. Neither guest indulged this since it was way besides the point of the conversation they were having. 3: Society is kowtowing to the trans movement. Neither guest took the bait on this, likely because they both knew Bill's simplistic characterization of the NYT story being about journalists covering a whistleblower who wants to protect children with trans activists refusing to listen to facts isn't what's actually happening. Funny how Bill is suddenly all "what about the chillldrrren??" when it comes this particular topic.
  8. I didn't know Bill is a fanboy of Elon Musk. His reaction to the very notion that his hero isn't purely altruistic towards Ukraine was embarrassing. I didn't know much about this and looked for more context. Elon, of course, has been an egoistical asshole in this situation. He provides Starlink to Ukraine and basks the glow of praise. He inserts himself into peace talks, but when Ukraine rebuffs his ideas, he starts whining about money and threatens to take his ball and go home (this is similar to the boys trapped in the cave - he just had to be the hero who saved the day and lost his mind when he wasn't recognized as such). Then when his hissy fit didn't go over so well, he changed his mind and vowed to continue Starlink for Ukraine, painting himself as a good man doing good deeds. It's not surprising Bill admires a man like Elon Musk. Birds of a feather....
  9. I wonder if Jinger is still dealing with loss of taste from Covid. Her cooking videos and now this steak one where it didn't occur to her to season it show a complete disinterest in food. Like food's only purpose is to keep her alive and not to bring any joy.
  10. Christie didn't just vote for Trump, he was part of the debate prep team. Team Trump refused masks and Christie was like, sure, I'm in a high risk group, but for you Mr. President, I'll take my chances. The fact that he thinks he has the slightest chance of impressing anyone - right or left or MAGA - with his past record as a governor or as a human being speaks to his massive ego. Something tells me Bill's newfound love for Biden has a more than a little bit to do with the fact that Biden is the constant target of ageism. Now that Bill is over 60 and is afraid he'll catch the old man cooties, he abhors ageism.
  11. Has Bill ever mentioned going to therapy? Does he have any insight into his motives? Does even know that the only reason he's taken on this anti-college stance so strongly is because colleges personally slighted him? (OMG, cancel culture! Amiright?) Would Bill be willing to go back in time and erase his years at Cornell and replace them with learning a trade and becoming an insta-adult? No, so STFU about it. There are social benefits to attending college that, as of now, only the wealthy can afford. That's the issue. But Bill being Bill has to keep it black and white and refuse to admit there are any benefits to kids attending college. There's no nuance to his arguments because they are always about him and who has wounded his ego. Hitting the FF and mute buttons are just part of the routine when I watch this show now. I cringe every time he brings up college or cancel culture or Islam or gender. In the past his arguments were cringeworthy when he would show his arrogance and his need to belittle those who didn't agree with him (how many times did he simplistically dismiss religion by bringing up the talking snake when he was on his atheist kick?) Now that he's gone full blown narcissist he's unwatchable whenever he brings up his current pet peeves.
  12. To recap: They get fueled up for a day of shopping and sewing with free food at the highest rated yelp restaurant in the country, which Jinger called next level. Aspiring designer, Chi.QC, enjoyed his food while Jinger, Jeremy and some guy they didn't bother to introduce the audience to engaged in a hard to follow conversation involving yelp reviews and Michelin stars that apparently was amusing in some way. Then they headed over to grab some t-shirts for the craft project. On the way out of the t-shirt store, Jinger and Jeremy spent several minutes discussing these invisible children the audience has no connection to. Then over to Chi's place where Jinger spaced out as he explained his mood board. Various parts of t-shirts are sewn together, Jinger pretends to love it and then proceeds to walk away in a shirt that has giant hands on the back and a big bear on the side. They linked Chi's info and he only has about 1000 subscribers and low view counts. J&J did a good deed by trying to help out this nice young man with questionable talent. Keyword with them, as always: Trying.
  13. Unfortunately, I think it's because they know there are women in the audience who enjoy seeing another woman suffer, especially if that suffering woman is young and pretty and seems to "have it all." I would hope the percentage of female audience members who feel this way is dwindling with every season, but as long as they keep playing this card, that means there's still a good number out there watching.
