This morning, Kasie gave a gushing send-off to Yasmin from the Early Show. She told Yasmin that the weekend show was lucky to have her. Joe is wearing a brown blazer and a blue shirt. I find it curious that Joe dresses better and seems happier when Mika is not around. He is smiling and laughing with Willie. Mika is at home making plans to recruit poor Yasmin for more Know Your Value shit since Yasmin now has more free time. Joe thinks that Joe Biden did well in his town hall last night. Joe says that Biden understands working people unlike Trump. Willie read polls that show Biden with a 9 point lead in Wisconsin and Arizona. He is leading 51 to 42 percent in Wisconsin. Joe says white males in Wisconsin are strong Biden supporters. John Heilman thinks that a lot of moderates in Wisconsin are turned off by Trump. Joe said that Donald Trump's law and order spiel will not work in Wisconsin.

Joe seems to have a permanent scowl on his face these days. He looks miserable.

A CNN poll of 809 voters shows Biden up by 9 points. Joe thinks the president screwed up by having gas sprayed in Lafayette Park and holding his Bible upside down. Joe claims the point is that Wisconsin is a big swing state. Willie thinks everyone in Wisconsin is reading Bob Woodward's book, and the book informs their decisions. Willie used the poll discussion to promote his upcoming interview with Woodward. I get tired of media people fluffing each other and cross promoting their books. I sure hope they talk about Watergate, too, since I have never heard Woodward talk about it. I always feel like I'm listening to a high school QB relive the state championship.

Joe said the death toll from Covid-19 is equal to three Vietnams. Mika told Kasie that she is going to start calling her at 4 a.m. MIka clearly thinks Mika is her protégé. Yes, Mika, but Kasie didn't have a famous daddy or sleep with the boss. Steve Kornacki is on the show. Joe told Steve that Joe Biden is underperforming with Latino voters. Steve said Trump is winning with non college voters in Wisconsin but losing with those who have college degrees. Biden and Trump are statistically tied in Arizona, according to Steve. Joe tried to tell Steve what the data should say. Joe thinks that Biden is over 50 percent in a lot of states and this is significant. Steve says there is not as much influence from third party voters. Mike Bloomberg has pledged to help Joe Biden. John Meacham says there is a rich irony in Mike Bloomberg helping the Dems in Florida. He compared it to the Enlightenment.

Poor Kasie. That's what I thought, too. She is a mother of a child who is under two. I'm sure she has help, but I still don't see why she would want this slot. I would think that it would be challenging to book guests for that time. Maybe she figures that a predictable morning time is better than running around Capitol Hill all day, with all of the waiting and scrambling that involves. I give it about six months.

Can someone give Mika a vacation from her breathless reading. If I wanted someone to read the Woodward book to me , I'd buy the audio book. It brings out her most melodramatic personality traits. Joe is on Twitter with a statement that the Bob Woodward book will be remembered for years to come. Woodward has written numerous White House insider books since Watergate. It is his thing now. I guess what I'm saying is that I have bombshell fatigue from Joe and drama fatigue from Mika.

Today Joe and Mika are excited about the polls. A new NBC News poll has Joe Biden up by 9 points in Pennsylvania. This is a poll of 771 registered voters that was conducted by Marist/NBC. Joe said that people are worried that the polls are like 2016. However, Joe thinks it is different from 2016 because there are not many persuadable or undecided people left. Lemire said that there are not enough voters in the rural parts of Pennsylvania to help Trump because Biden has the suburbs. Jonathan thinks the rural areas in PA form a "T." As a former resident of the Keystone State, I disagree. There is a huge rural territory in the middle of PA. It is one of the top dairy producing states. *The more you know* 🌈 Joe says that Biden and Trump are tied in Texas. Mika said that half a million children have had Covid-19. She wants you to know that your toddler or teenager could kill you with Covid.

Add to this Tyra's posing and "smizing." There's a new promo on ABC where Tyra poses and smirks into the camera for about 30 seconds straight. She's insufferable.

He seems to be doing the sweater look every day now. My guess is that he has gained weight, and the sweaters are more comfortable. He seems to favor yellow button down shirts. He is not dyeing his hair either. This is Curmudgeon Joe. Mika is doing the Elizabeth Warren look today, with a black t-shirt and bright cardigan.

Did Clare have a fake pregnancy on the Juan Pablo season? It was interesting to see Andi. Apparently, she left NYC, has settled in California, and is writing her third book. I can't believe that people want to read that much about her. I would like to know about the terrible thing that happened in the fantasy suite with Juan Pablo. She seems like a drama queen so maybe it was just crappy sex.

Joe looked into the camera and did a monolgue for military members. He solemnly stated that the overwhelming majority of Americans support you, the military, unlike the president who called you names. Joe said General Mattis and John Kelly would deny the story if it wasn't true. Joe said that he has friends in Congress who were in the military. He used to visit their offices and admire the decorations and awards.

MIka read from The Atlantic that Trump allegedly called John MCcain a "fucking loser" after he died. Mika said "f-ing." Joe and Mika getting real today. Jon Lemire said the White House denies The Atlantic's story. So what Jonathan? I want to hear Mika read the whole thing.

Joe and Mika started the show the a clip of President Trump criticizing John McCain. Jeffrey Goldberg has a new report about how the president called service members "losers," Mika is very solem reading the anonymous story. Joe called the story incredible. Jeffrey Goldberg joined the show. He said that he hears things all of the time. He hears interesting stuff. Jeffrey Goldberg does not like the president's attitude toward service. Joe listed military officials who allegedly don't like Trump. Joe knows all about the military since some of his friends served. Mika talked about a 2017 visit to Arlington Cemetery. Trump allegedly asked what was in it for the dead soldiers. Mika's solemn reading is great. I feel like I'm watching a play. I think she should do an off Broadway performance of "The Vagina Monologues."

Shawna is Shawna Thomas of MSNBC. She has recently started appearing as a guest in the Brady Bunch boxes. She is also a content producer for Quibbi ( whatever that is).

The president visited Kenosha. Mika is upset that the president didn't visit Jacob Blake's family. In a clip the president said he was there for law enforcement. The president said he is about law and order. He said he will put out violence. Mika is upset about the president saying he is against violence and not visiting the Jacob Blake family. Joe said Joe Biden supports cops and is against violence. Lemire said Trump has suggested that Biden is a leftist. A Grinnell College general national election poll of 800 voters showed an 8 point lead for Joe Biden. Mika is excited about the Grinnell poll since she loves Iowa. Joe says the goal for Trump is to make everyone forget about coronavirus. He loves these talking points from January. Joe says there is no point in worrying about violence in Kenosha when Americans are dead.

I did not see the show today because I'm traveling and don't have cable. I found a clip of Al and Joe on Twitter. Joe is wearing the same sweater that he was wearing on Friday. Does Joe think that it's a new thing to have a heavy Hispanic presence in Texas? I grew up in Texas. Even when I was growing up the population was more than 40 percent Hispanic. Where I grew up, half the radio stations are Spanish language and have been for 20 years. But Joe just discovered it so it is a big trend.

Mika read the story that Lord and Taylor is closing all of her stores. She is very, very sad about it because she bought a lot of news appropriate fashions there. She almost did the cry voice. John Heileman criticized Trump's speech as "low energy." John thinks it won't attract anyone who doesn't already support Trump. John thinks Trump is out of touch with swing state voters on race.

Joe is wearing a long sleeve black sweater and white shirt. Kind of a bizarre choice in August. Isn't it still hot as hell in Florida? Al Sharpton is on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. He's leading a march in Washington today. Al said the Republican party has been reduced fo a cult. Al says they are practicing social distancing at the March. He claims that all of the marchers will be 6 feet apart. Joe is very excited about the health conscious March in DC. Willie made fun of Joe for wearing a sweater and calling it "throwback Morning Joe."

Where is Joe today? Is taking every other day off a thing now? Willie and Lemire are really into the Hatch Act this morning. I am a federal employee in a cabinet level agency, of almost 20 years, and I've never actually seen anyone get disciplined for violating the Hatch Act. We have a mandatory training every year and that's it. Also, violation of the Hatch Act may be disciplined by your agency to include removal from your job, but it is not a criminal offense.

Mika is at home asleep. Are they switching off days hosting the show. Joe says last night was an alternate reality. Joe noted that Larry Kudlow referred to the Covid pandemic in the past tense. Joe is upset that Melania Trump lectured people about mean people on social media. Joe repeated the remark that Trump said Mika was bleeding from her face. He said it twice. I am sure Mika appreciates Joe bringing up her surgery. As a woman, I would be horrified if my husband repeated someone else's criticism of my physical appearance. Joe, get a sensitivity chip. Joe criticized forner Florida AG Pam Bondi for her speech. Joe said he knows her from Florida.

I think people give Joe and Mika too much credit for Trump. A lot of people just voted for him to vote against Hillary Clinton. Most of those people probably don't watch Joe and Mika. Also, IMO Soledad has become insufferable on Twitter since she disappeared from cable news. I can't imagine she'll be invited on by JoeMika anytime soon. She's too liberal for Fox and she's already been fired by CNN.

OMG, did she really do this? Honestly, sometimes I wonder where she gets her patience.

David Ignatius is on the show to talk about his latest WaPo op-ed "Hard Evidence that Shreds Trump's lies about the Russia Hoax." He also brings up the Ukraine. I feel like I am watching a rerun from one year ago. Joe is excited that he and David can fluff each other over their WaPo op-eds. Joe says a CBS poll shows a 10 point lead for Joe Biden over Trump in a national poll. Joe told Kasey Hunt what she is supposed to say about Joe Biden. Breaking news: People who say they don't like Trump will vote for Biden. Thanks, Captain Obvious. Joe says Joe Biden has a 7 point or more lead in every battleground state. But the last poll Joe showed had only a 2 point lead. I guess Joe can't be expected to proofread his materials before he puts this on TV.

Unfortunately Erin Moran is deceased, but maybe one of the kids from Charles in Charge can slap Scott Baio. I will say that I'll tune in for Antonio Sabato, Jr. because he is still cute. Joe is mad that Trump gave a speech in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area yesterday because the president was in Biden's home state. Joe said Trump insulted Biden. Isn't that what politicians do? Has Joe ever watched a debate in any presidential race? Or even a tape of his own show. I am confused by Joe's expectation that everyone in politics is going to play nice, especially given his own love of insult "comedy."
