  1. Yes lawd!! It’s like we can’t have our own experiences because they don’t understand or have them. Just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Also, I think Eboni explained the situation very well. Those who don’t get it or try to understand, JUST DON’T WANT TO.
  2. Just like you (general) can determine what is intended to be shade when it’s thrown, we can tell what the intent is behind the words being “thrown.” Think of it like when you’re with friends and family and there’s an inside joke or something. Others can’t pick it out. Only those familiar. We’re very familiar with LuAnn’s intent. It ain’t new.
  3. Just finished and Crystal’s assessment was/is spot on. Also as a font said upthread Sutton was the perfect example of white fragility. She jumped into victim mode very quick.
  4. Rinna looked cute in the confessionals. I don’t know if this has already been mentioned, but Kathy gives me Caitlyn. Every time I look at her, I see Caitlyn with softer features.
  5. I don’t understand Sutton’s assessment that she has to fight to prove she’s not racist, unless she’s showing racist tendencies. I was raised in the heart of the Bible Belt and the racist around there are like Mario after he eats the mushroom, so I know them well. With that said, I don’t feel that all white people have to show me they’re not racist, because I don’t assume all are. I would, however, wonder why you’re trying to prove it and then that would lead me to think more of it. If she can’t be herself and not feel like she looks racist, then that says a lot.
  6. It’s hard for people to grasp things they don’t go through and some will either sympathize or not. When it’s not about race to you (general) it’s because your race isn’t weaponized against you. They don’t know how it feels to walk in a store and be followed simply because of your skin. These things need to be seen. It’s not a card and to say that is offensive. Just say you (general) don’t know or you’re not educated on the subject.
  7. I think everyone is well aware of the stereotypes some of us spoke about, including the Housewives, especially within this last year. Some just choose to be willfully obtuse. Like a font said, these conversations are necessary to have, but people would have to be open to hear it.
  8. I thought the screen said they got to LuAnn’s 12 minutes after Ramona and crew arrived?
  9. Sonja doesn’t have any of those things either. Oh, she has her ran down townhouse... Almost forgot lol
  10. Lisa was also calling Denise out alone and not in a group full of angry women.
  11. I think people don’t understand because it’s not their “blues” or something they don’t have to deal with daily. I get it, but just because those words aren’t triggering to you or you don’t understand why it was perceived the way it was, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Example: I’m not homeless, but I know there are a lot of homeless people everywhere and I could never speak to or diminish their experience or walk of life because I’m not walking the same path. If you are specifically calling out the black woman for things the white women have displayed w/in that same moment, that is an issue. Race is an issue and trying to act like it’s not is an issue. Now, that’s not saying that any of you here feel this way, but it’s obvious some want to act like it doesn’t exist or isn’t problematic as if we can’t see the play on words. You do not have to say angry “BLACK” woman for it to be implied. Why? Because we’re already perceived as angry and feared. She didn’t use “black” because she knew it would’ve been an issue, but she (thinking it was clever but was still seen) tried to slide it on in there when she was angry herself.
  12. Education was brought up by LuAnn and Eboni let it be known that just because she uses certain words doesn’t mean she’s uneducated. Sometimes you have to put people in their place when they’re being belittling. On the time issue, I get it because I’m the one who’s always waiting on someone because I’m always on time, but they should t act like she’s the first to be late. They just need to keep the same energy they have for others. 12 minutes wasn’t making it breaking them.
  13. Another point I meant to make and skipped right on past it.
  14. Ok!!! I should’ve just kept scrolling and co-signed your post.
  15. I don’t think you (Ramona) should be annoyed by shouting when you’re also shouting yourself LOL. Hearing problem be damned. If she can listen to herself shout then.... Eboni was correct in her assessment. No one (on the show unless I missed it) used any of those terms regarding Leah. It was oh her grandma, penis blah blah blah. Not one time was she called angry (which she clearly was,) nor was she told to stop shouting (which she clearly was.) You don’t have to say angry “black” woman for the implication to be there. There are ways to say things w/o actually saying them. And only using the angry term with Eboni, that is exactly what she was doing. She did so because she wanted to “knock” Eboni down some because she had the “audacity” to come into her home and point out the obvious stating facts. Unfortunately race, as touchy as it is, is a topic and something we deal with daily. I’m very clear on this is not all white people as I have white friends I adore and they adore me and we have each others back always, but it doesn’t negate the fact that these are the things that we have to deal with. So, again, I’m glad Eboni isn’t letting it ride. There was some “Karen” activity going on. LuAnn and Ramona wanted to have their “elitism and classism” and their say on the way they (Leah and Eboni) spoke or words they used, but when Eboni came back at them, they wanted to retreat and all of a sudden Eboni is angry. Voices were raised by many, but mostly because everyone was trying to talk over the other. Sonja is yelling every episode. They (well really LuAnn) should’ve came with something else.
  16. LuAnn took offense because it’s true. I’m also glad Eboni called that ish what it was. LuAnn’s superiority was shining bright. She knew exactly what she was doing when she called Eboni angry and I’m glad Eboni called that out too. I deal with this at work. I can say the same exact thing, in a better “office appropriate” tone, than my coworker/friend and I’m looked at as angry or hostile just because I’m making my point. It’s annoying! I also like the fact that Sonja let it be known that she wasn’t bothered. LuAnn wanted to make it seem as everyone was offended when it was only her uneducated self.
  17. I can see jealousy because the fact of the matter is, Tiffany is the only one in that show that can stand on their own and doesn’t need her husband to maintain a lifestyle. Kary is at the bottom of that list because she has to stay married to keep any sort of change.
  18. If this is just going to be a shit on Tiffany season, I’m out lol. I’m over it so I can only imagine how she must feel living it.
  19. Kameron is insecure because she knows she is and sounds like an idiot. She always want to hone in on people’s etiquette, but can’t take someone telling her the correct words so she won’t sound foolish. I would think in all the high society gatherings, she would atleast want to seem like she has more brains than Barbie.
  20. And wasn’t even trying to be discreet and keep it “in the family” meaning within the cast.
  21. She’s extra sensitive to everything. Every season is the same mess. She can go!
