  1. Bubble? Just from watching the show, it's apparent that cops of all races have to utilize their weapons because of suspects of all races. In fact, an African American cop got shot by an African American suspect. Where's the outrage about that? Maybe the media only reports what they believe will cause good ratings and we need to realize there are two sides to the story. Im not living in a bubble. I just don't think being a cop is easy and it's easy to judge when we've never done it. If a cop kills anyone other than African American, it's not likely reported. Or, maybe the media shouldn't specify race at all and stick to facts and report all killings by cops. Why does it matter what color anyone's skin is in 2018 ? Do they report and specify when an African American suspect kills a white woman? Not unless they put his picture up and they don't say she's white.
  2. There are claims that Casey paid her attorney with sexual favors. He was a well known attorney and she nor her family could have afforded him. He knew it was a high profile case and would boost his career but he also knew what he could get from Casey.
  3. I'm curious, what do you all think about the love match for Prentiss? Do you like the new character? Do you think they are trying to bring in someone that looks like Morgan?
  4. Thank you. Well, Gibson may have been right in that he wasn't happy with how his character was being written and now the other actors are afraid to speak up because they saw what resulted....they know the real/whole story. Maybe they are hoping the ratings will show how the viewers feel about the storylines. Characters need depth in order to be believable and for viewers to make that connection. I think it's all unbelievable from the way Prentiss leads the team to the way Garcia dresses ( did you see how low cut her dress was last night?), to the way the team speaks to Reid as if he's a child. So much seems unprofessional to me and it wouldn't be permitted in real life. I wonder if MGG is pursuing other endevors because he knows things we don't or he's not happy there?
  5. I think you have made a very good point. Maybe these actors are just so thrilled to have a job that they don't challenge the writers about the characters themselves and hope we won't care or notice and just be happy with the storyline. This has me thinking....could that has been what Thomas Gibson was angry about? I don't know who he punched or why.
  6. I'd like to see people work on a factory farm and then travel with the animals to the slaughterhouse and then complain about how any of these people choose to live. Animals they hunt live free and have a chance to escape. The people hunting are feeding their families the closest thing to organic you can get anymore. They are self sufficient. No 401k to fall back on in these villages and they take care of each other, something we can all learn from. They also use everything from the animal, just like our ancestors did. What's wrong with that? I love my animals too but we all need to be realistic. Not everyone on the planet sees things the same way. Lions eat meat. It won't stop. Nothing wrong with it and there is nothing wrong with people who eat meat either.
  7. Coming from someone that gets everything they need from retail establishments who DONT rape the land I suppose? The Hailstones feed and take care of the elders in their village and those unable to hunt and fish. They use meat and fish and skins to barter with which is something we have become unfamiliar with for the most part. Groceries , if they make it to villages unspoiled, are extremely expensive. Refrain from judgement because the exact same can and has been said about how we live in the lower 48. Have you seen what happens on a farm or in a slaughterhouse? Animals have hormones, steroids and antibiotics and have to be vaccinated against who knows what because they live in close quarters and we are expected to eat that crap. How many cases of lettuce recall have there been lately? Farms are nasty. They aren't raping anything.
  8. Glenn owns real estate , he's a pilot, he owns several cabins, a plane. Remember these "reality shows" are extremely edited to show you what they want you to think. He has two children from his first marriage, a step daughter which he adopted and a toddler with his partner Trisha. What you see him hunting and harvesting feeds all his kids including his ex wife.
  9. The longer this seriers goes on, the more dramatic and over-the-top Sue has become. Listening to her describe untying a knot in her rope as a "life or death situation" is overkill. The big wigs at Nat Geo may encourage this from her but they end up making her appear more like a social outcast the more descriptive she gets.
  10. I understand that people miss a character. More than that though, I respect the fact that the writers and directors of the show chose not to keep an entitled actor employed that felt it was ok to punch someone when he was angry. That doesn't make for a good work environment or set a good example to anyone. I also believe people would have been more angry if they would have replaced the character with a different actor.
  11. 1) It's been how many years since Hotch has left? Can we move on yet? 2) The women are either poor actresses or their roles are flat and written poorly. The men's characters seem to have dimension and they find actors that play the role well. The women can't even speak with emotion or crack a smile. It's boring. 3) I guess they got tired of hearing "Bring Shemar back" so they found a love interest for Emily that sort of looks like him. Lol Good try. I don't know. I used to like the show and it has nothing to do with characters leaving. Maybe it's the writing? Maybe it's the acting?
  12. I agree. I feel like I've seen all the cases on Dateline, 48 hours, ID. They all do the same ones. Surely there are cases out there we have never heard of?
  13. I am glad they are doing this show. It's from the perspective of the cop and shows how they have to make split second decisions and often when shots are fired, nothing is made of it until it becomes a race issue. It shouldn't be about race, ever!
  14. I think Hulu has it too, according to my internet search, at least I hope so.
  15. I thought it was the mom that died not the daughter.
  16. It's a bit like a "historical" romance come to life. Lol It's been glamorized, you could say. Maybe they saw the success of Downton Abbey and decided to try a different century.
  17. I'm loving the show. I just started watching on PBS and didn't catch it at the beginning of the season so I don't know the characters and the storyline very well. I think I've watched three episodes total and the end of the last one showed Alices first (supposedly dead) husband come back to Jamestown. I hope I can find the episodes I missed and I hope there are other seasons. I love historical dramas. I'm just now watching Downton Abbey. I don't think she's all there. Her family probably "gave" her into servitude because she was considered slow and just another mouth to feed.
  18. Agree completely. It's very hard to imagine letting justice run it's course when you try to put yourself in the shoes of these family members. I'm not sure I'd still be walking free.
  19. If he owns a lot of land, maybe his family is/was prominent in the area. Just speculating. At this point his parents might be gone but he may have siblings.
  20. Alaska State Troopers are known as "Nazis". It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Chip is telling the truth. I have a friend that lives outside of Fairbanks in North Pole. He doesn't have nice things to say about Troopers and remember, most villages only have Public Safety Officers that are Natives. Troopers fly in occasionally and when there is trouble. I believe Andy and Jessie knew each other. I've spoken to Kate before and she told me lots of things about the cast. It made me think they all knew each other but it also could have been because they traveled to New York or maybe gossip from the crew.
  21. I believe Chip was on FB for awhile and probably has read comments on the LBZ FB page the people make that are hateful towards him and his family for their way of life. People cannot handle seeing animals hunted and butchered. We are very removed from this these days and I myself have read comments left that are terribly mean about him and his family. Humans would not be alive today if not for the hunter gatherer lifestyle and the Hailstones take care of the elders and others that need food in their village. It's sad that people think hunting is awful but have no idea what goes on in a farm or slaughterhouse. Chip is just trying to explain clearly how they live without making any apologies.
  22. I don't think so. She doesn't like how mean people can be but she can function in society and understands norms. My daughter has Asperger's and it has never crossed my mind that Sue might have it.
