  1. It's interesting and unusual that there was no mention of squatting, so I'm guessing that they continued to pay $3,500 per month rent for the 2-1/2 months they lived there during the eviction proceedings. So they get that on their side from me. Plus, when you collect $42,000 to $50,000 in rent to 12-14 months you can pay to clean the refrigerator, stove and toilet and still be way ahead. (In spite of the absolute fact that any self respecting adult should be ashamed to leave a rented property like that) The clean up counter suite seemed retaliatory and a half assed justification to keep the majority of the security deposit. Frankly I had little sympathy for either party.
  2. But didn’t we all kinda know that all along?
  3. I am a big believer in personal responsibility. But I also know we live in a world that since the beginning of time morally bankrupt individuals prey on those of lesser intelligence and build wealth at the expense of the poor. That’s beyond reprehensible. So I couldn’t agree with you more.
  4. My only question is why Home Alone kid defendant needs to borrow money? Didn’t he save anything from his brief movie career?
  5. What I wouldn’t have given for Byrd to burst into Jake’s hatterview with the old chestnut “I’ll give you something to cry about.” And then did that.
  6. That guy is way more (or less) than a snowflake. Those fits of emotion like violent road rage and sobbing in hallterview along with the death threats suggest that he is a very unstable and potentially dangerous guy. And a total pussy. Oh please. As a white male of certain privilege myself, I know the attitude well but I also despise that overly applied term. What we witnessed is an disingenuous, immature, emotionally unstable and violent young man. The fact that he’s white has little, if anything to do with this. And entitlement or privilege is the least of his issues.
  7. I was excited to watch this because I wanted to learn how a girlfriend could hack her boyfriend’s phone. At first glance she didn’t look like she had the hacker skills of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo or even Napoleon Dynamite, but maybe looks are deceiving. Evidently all she did was login to his Gmail account from her phone using his password. But since I already know how to prevent that with 2 step verification and not to give my Gmail password to my side slam the only thing I learned was that Sharpies can be equivalent to spray paint for certain vandals.
  8. BTW, there was zero chance of that cyclist not being drunk when he crashed into Sarah Bernhardt the drama queen. He was drunk when he appeared on television and he's probably drunk now. Even money the only reason he was on a bike in the first place was due to a suspended or revoked driver's license. Clearly he's not a fitness junkie or an environmentalist. Did anybody else notice the major eye roll the woman in the gallery did when Sarah B. testified she warned the zig zagging drunk that "bicycle number 2 is approaching on your right".
  9. Try to imagine the scene she must have made when she fell. Or in the ER. Good grief, what terrible old biddy. I’m willing to bet the plaintiff was smoking also based on the sound of smoker’s phlegm voice I heard in halterview. 🚬🚬🤢
  10. Every time that crazy old drunk mentioned he worked on a UPS truck I said a prayer that UPS does something about that immediately for the sake of the motoring and pedestrian public. That old fool should not be with 100 feet of a moving veeeeehicle.
  11. JJ's $250 judgement was positively absurd. I would have awarded her $250 for being woken up in the middle of the night, another $250 to have to scrub egg off her property and whatever it took to do the likely repainting/refinishing of her door and siding. $250 total for a deliberate act of vandalism is an insult to the plaintiff and tantamount an exhortation of the teenage vandal. And the smug, douche bag dad should be ashamed of himself. Same. Likewise is the "he/she was speeding" defense. As if you can accurately judge the speed of the car you failed to see in the first place. So unless you're struck by Marty McFly in an '84 DeLorean all you're really saying is "I was distracted by something or someone and wasn't paying attention" which is equivalent to an admission of guilt. Time to hand over the keys gramps or whatever it is that starts that stupid veeeehicle. And for the record, my children are on notice that if Mrs. BITW and/or I ever come off as these two old farts did send me off on an ice flow and remember the good times.
  12. While we’re on the topic, anybody want to guess how much any one of us would be on the hook for if we whipped a dozen eggs off JJ’s house in the middle of the night? Her callus attitude today with two responsible homeowners injured by the deliberate acts of fools was not her finest hour.
  13. Here’s the latest example of her royal highness demonstrating that she’s the only person on planet Earth entitled to make a killing. Her talents are worth mega millions per year but the rental of the plaintiff’s property is only worth what she says it is. Thus this defendant destroys a property and walks away owing nothing because the plaintiffs knew she had dogs. That’s not justice.
  14. I didn’t. I kept imagining that crazy eyed long haul trucker and his 80,000 lbs load tailgating me down the expressway. 😬
  15. The problem the mom had (an addition to so many other things) was that she failed to meet her burden of proof. The plaintiff’s sister’s testimony was useless and convinced me of nothing. And the text message did not indicate an acceptance of a financial responsibility. I hated both litigants and that family is a hot mess. But it’s coin toss to me that the skanky plaintiff with the terrible attitude broke the shower. Oh, and for the record, any girlfriend that balls me out in front of others for the unforgivable sin of forgetting her hair products can go do what I’ve been doing to her in the dark, to herself.
  16. I replayed this 4 times because for some OCD reason I needed to know. I think the bullshit she was trying to sell is that she would combine $600 of her cash with $350 of his to buy a $950 money order from the post office and pay her rent. But it broke down for me when that same $600 in cash (which he couldn’t account for in his paperwork) combined with the $800 he could account for roughly equaled the $1,350 she admitted in her paperwork that he advanced her. The arithmetic wasn’t nearly as interesting to me though as it was watching full blown, real life sociopath go through her gyrations. Only a truly dangerous and dysfunctional person invites a guest to her home then meets him brandishing a weapon. What a scary freak we witnessed today.
  17. As hard as it is for me to believe that a naked woman can break a shower made of stone, that little skank plaintiff had all the characteristics of a person who just got away with something. What a bunch of foul mouthed, low life trash on both sides of this family dumpster fire. Time to add come chlorine to that gene pool.
  18. Amen. And to that deception, impulsivity, violence and you have met the threshold for a textbook anti social personality disorder. Absolutely. Miss Bunny Boiler is a seriously dangerous person to herself and others and that’s a real life fact. 50/50 there’s a jail cell or a locked ward in her future.
  19. If you have Netflix, find a limited series called “Dirty Money” and an episode entitled “Payday”. These loan predators feast on poor, desperate people who have little or no option when they need cash. Not all of these borrowers are of the ilk of the average JJ litigant. Sure they should know better. Sure they should read and understand the fine print. But how many of us REALLY understand the fine print of everything we sign. Most of us are saved only by virtue of the legitimate options available to us. I’m not always sympathetic to borrowers. But rich lenders who outsmart poor people in need are a fucking pestilence.
  20. I’m convinced he stole the property but only by his affect. He lacked and sincerity and the righteous indignation of a man wrongfully accused. But unless I missed something, the very credible witness only established that the defendant lied about being there on a day he testified he was not.
  21. All I could think about when I looked at him is here stands an old boozer so irresponsible and messed up that even his own mother wouldn’t trust him with a death benefit. Any doubts I had about the defendant’s involvement in the theft were removed by his callous remarks in hallterview. Along with the always popular “it is what it is”, the pseudo philosophical mantra of the cornered rat.
  22. Agree again. I'm not sure that victim in this case carries status so much as it does a stain. And she didn't seem a bit satisfied, only sad and weak if I read her right. I wasn't sure if she needed a girlfriend to hug her or slap her. Perhaps both.
  23. If I have one wish for the universe today is that this plaintiff gets her act together. In addition to coming of as foolish and with a DUI, she also appeared smart, hard working and decent, like a person who could actually contribute to society. The opposite is her shitbag boyfriend who preys on those weaker than him and belongs behind bars.
  24. I’m certain you’re correct. Though it begs the question why she would want to further humiliate herself on television. She didn’t seem the 15 minutes of fame type and she came off as pathetic and weak just like her husband.
  25. I'm sure what she was looking for is reference to the loins in the real estate purchase agreement and the closing documents. Whatever those docs said would have made the email contract null and void. It's a mistake not to include or exclude something that valuable (and ugly) in the purchase agreement and whoever prepared them was remiss. BTW, I'd have paid $5,000 to have them taken away.
