@CowboysFanatic , I live in Charlotte NC and have met some of these ladies. Not friendly, not approachable and weirdly suspicious of anyone remotely good looking near them. Briana seems thankful, completely different and a sincere person. I spent time on the Earnheart ranch and the husbands are a complete night and day to the wives and "extras" hanging around. Dale loved buzzing around his ranch with beers and ATVs, the MRS and crew have completely different lives. Thank goodness Briana has found a sisterhood who are loyal to eachother.

Holy crap...I missed that completely. Wow, I am...just...wow. Way to funnel the dollars. I hear you guys loud and clear. Those backroom agreements... I am disappointed, but no longer surprised. Sigh.....yes, you are correct. I think each person takes it in with a different perspective. For me personally, it came down to it sitting very wrong me and feeling more manipulated and forced that other past years. It seemed to go off the script of what was established as expectation before. I hear ya though. Controversy is gold in TV land.

Not sure if I would say that is minor. She missed a good bit of dancing it seemed. I mean she hit her head. That sucks. I say that as someone disabled with a life-altering spinal cord injury at 6 months pregnant. She may carry that event in her body for a long time, even if unspoken. I am glad she was not more seriously hurt. How scary.

No doubt...don't get me wrong. I am sure she was eager/insistent/encouraged to have that camera time. Or however, that bull went down. I just mean those idiots ran head straight into a misguided assumption that was going to be a fan favorite situation....uggg...like NOOOOO, not at all. My frustration is/was and shall forever be...IT WAS FORCED on us, Geez what were they thinking, abandoning their OWN legacy of the show. Disappointed is understated. I really never felt like I got a DCC MTT.

New and Novice poster here: This...SO AGREE!! Add whoever said they will not purchase this season, I am with you on that too Who else feels cheated this year. And if TPTB interprets high viewer numbers as some kind of approval or sign of "we enjoyed the show", No the Hell we didn't. It's more like not being able to look away from a train wreck happening. All the screeching of "VK storm", grinding of gears "K&J whines of ...so hard this year..", and casualties, "Dayton, Tara, &others", left a big bloody heap of #beytrayed fans & viewers in the trail of WTH brought to you by CMT. I can't even blame all the mess on VK. She was not the one who chose to air her clips. The entire decision-making process fell flat on its ass. An Ass they are in denial of and/or blatantly refuse to acknowledge.

Is there something going on in Dallas itself around the time auditions has traditionally been held? Here in Charlotte, we had a massive first responder disaster/homeland security simulation. It shut the inner city areas down and other large venues were not allowed for 2 weeks. But who knows, maybe they are putting together a group of new judges...or more like, The Star is having something special and holding auditions early serve their financial greed purposes. Curious..................

I was thinking the same thing. Like maybe she was just trying to reapply quickly for camera moment and used the wrong type or was given the wrong type by someone else?

New poster on here so sorry if this has been discussed: I don't know if this helps, but SlingTV has CMT as an option and DVR. That is how I watch. I also just learned that the PhiloTV carries CMT and has included DVR. Theirs is about $16 a month. Both show the episodes OnDemand the very next morning. I got tired of Spectrum having constant disputes with CMT and locking the episodes from customers. I do have older seasons on Amazon but chose not to buy this season for obvious reasons. I managed to record season 1 using my computer HDMI to TV. But honestly, CMT /DCC are really contract crazy to me. Why don't they just remaster seasons 1&2 for us to purchase? They change the songs on Amazon. Literally, a song heard on one episode can be completely different watching that same episode a month later. Has anyone else noticed that? In fact, sometimes I swear certain clips or small parts change out to.

That is true. Can't argue there. I really do hope some of these rock star rookies stay to be even better vets. If everyone manages the 1st year storm and keep weight in check. Next year could be hard for new girls to make camp at all. Makes one wonder...how many current vets will retire. Oh yea, meant to ask. Does Miranda seem off this year, or frumpy? I like her down to earthiness, but she seems not put together as well as I remember last year. But hey, my son's tell me my eyes are the low budget brand.

@sleepyjean , OMgosh me too!!!! How about it CMT??? Maybe that is the new fresh start we could enjoy. Think how insane this forum would be if we had more than one team to stock on Instagram. @Pebbles116 , I love Erin too! Wowza! Last year I was confused about her look. Her stumble, bumble surprised me for how graceful she really is. Her transformation hit me about like Maddie's did her second time around. I am a Brennan fan, but the difference between Erin's bombshell reboot and Brennan is like night and day. Erin came so confident and morphed herself into a sexy vixen. She really must have studied her own body to find what made "her" sexy and not just attempt to copy someone else. @Pebbles116, do you think she could ever be a 50-yard girl if her power grows more? Maybe not yet, but it has me thinking. I hope she sticks around. Oh and her cameo is EVERYTHING!

@PBSLover , Oh that makes sense. Disjointed, YES! I couldn't find the word. @tinabee1967, I agree. The infomercials force fitted in episodes this season bothered me too. What's weird to me is it comes off desperate for attention. Almost as if TPTB are having an identity crisis, and can't figure out what it is they really want. Dance show, facility promo, a beloved child on a legacy journey of a lifetime, yet another comeback girl story (but not really a comeback). You both are right. I guess I get it now. How on earth did we get here? Whoever said the show "jumped the shark", seems right. So what should the name of the show be now??? OH and thanks to everyone for the welcome.

Well Jeeze, call me the most naive idiot on the aisle. What can I trust on the show these days? Is it me or has this been the most staged season ever? No wonder I am endlessly irked this year. Can you imagine backroom conversations that must have gone on during camp about this mess? I always wondered about the comments of bringing girls into camp just for "rating drama". Honestly, I took it more lightly than I do at this very moment now. Forget the whole VK issue....have TPTB lost their minds chasing their checks? Sooooooooooooo disappointed in them. What are future DCC hopefuls supposed to think? Let me ask you then, do you think Malena had a clue she was being used? Wonder if Jayln was privately feeling sorry for Malena and wondering what K&J were doing? Sometimes I worry these girls are just prey to the organization (current DCC not past DCC). The journey to being a DCC is compelling enough to me without this extra....EXTRA!

@ByTor , I am a first-time poster here. So please forgive me if this has been asked and beaten to death already. But something about this season just urked me so much I decided to take the plunge into this awesome board. I am totally confused. Is the same Malena we are all talking about the same one in this video? I timestamped the sections so people don't have to be tortured watching the whole thing. But if I am right, Malena and Jayln were on the Flight Crew together. Was that even mentioned on the show? And if I am right, how could K&J not know Malena's benched status with Jayln there too. Of course, I do shop regularly in the idiot aisle, so I might be way off. Anyone, help me out?
