I don't think every young couple with kids are miserable. I was a stay at home parent for ten years. For the first five years, I had no future plans to return to work. I loved it, for the most part.
Joy seems to have a fairly good balance of mom life and married life. They take time as a couple. She sees her family. The kids see their cousins. I see her as quite happy actually.
The way she speaks about is why I think differently.

She even said she was not excited about it, but then changed her statement to say she was.
Judging by her Q&A, Joy is not happy with her life, but chooses to pretend to be Happy, and prays to be happy. Like the old “pray away the gay” this girl is trying to force herself to enjoy her life but she doesn’t like it. No doubt she loves her kids, but it’s not the sunshine and rainbow farts she was promised.

Why can’t she ask her OWN mom for advice on how to cook with cast iron?
ETA - I just saw all the posts already asking this question!
I guess her 15 minutes 1:1 per week with her mom expired after marriage. That’s my best guess!

The entire Duggar empire is built on putting children on camera. I find it impossible to believe that RFP, FameWhore Supreme, suddenly developed an awareness that exploiting his children on SM might be ill-advised. And Jinger, being a woman and all, wouldn’t get a vote.
Something else is up.
Maybe someone went too far.... idk, but they are doing to with intent..... I’m with you, something is up.

Something about the way she worded the last line makes me think they are still looking for ways to have more kids.
If they weren’t hoping for more kids she would’ve had that other one removed. I’m guessing they are praying for their “miracle baby” even harder now.

As a current grandma, please reconsider pushing the grandparents. On one hand I think it's a potentially nice idea while on the other if anyone gave me homework at this point in my life and wanted to ride me "like Seabiscuit" they might not get the reaction they are wanting. I'd be more likely to donate or simply trashcan the book(s) immediately. I think possibly ask the grandparents in question if they have any interest in such a project. Some of us have enough on our plates already or might have no interest in filling out a book.
In my case they will actually like the idea and would enjoy it, and “riding them like seabiscuit” is my funny way of saying remind them. We’ve been surrounded by a lot of death from Covid and they’ll all be happy to do this for the great grands. If I had a grandparent who wasn’t into sentimental things or not close to the kids I wouldn’t even bother.

I gave books like this to my grandparents like 20 years ago. My grandmother never filled hers out and I never saw anything from my grandfather either, though he was totally into genealogy and storytelling. My grandmother had Alzheimer's and I figured there was just never any time.
But he passed away in 2019 and when my mom was going through his stuff, she found it. He had filled out some parts of it and she gave it to me at Thanksgiving later that year. I haven't been able to bring myself to read it yet, but just having his stories in his own handwriting that he left for me is priceless.
I am giving these to all of my grandparents to fill out for their greatgrands. And I’m going to ride them like seabiscuit until they are back in my custody! This is a wonderful idea.

A few years back, when I had my knee replaced and was home for a couple months, I was stunned by how many people go out into suburbia and randomly knock on doors. I live in a suburb that requires a permit to go door to door, but most of these folks just ignore that rule. I found myself having people banging on the door multiple times every day which set my dogs into a barking frenzy and made me have to get up off the bed or chair and hobble to the door to send them away. I had kids selling magazines, siding and roofing vendors, and multiple pushy religious types. I found it helped shorten their visit to ask to see their permit to solicit, which none of them had. But, in the end, the only way to keep them off the porch was to go down to Lowe's and buy a 'No soliciting' sign for 3 bucks and hang it over the bell. Money well spent.
In my neighborhood the sign has been an invitation to be creative. It took a few years but now we are known as the curmudgeons on the block so everyone leaves is alone 😂.

my favorite is when they come to my door. I have a “no soliciting” sign, so I will point to it and say, “can you read” when they say yes but..... I just say “that includes Jesus”.They away with the face of horror and I laugh every time 😂

Does anyone have a link to the Lilly/Brennan/Hannah cuts? I’m not giving them a view or downloading a whole episode, but all the talk makes me want to see what Brennan and Hannah said!

So, does this mean that Jim Bob now has to listen and learn from Ben? Somehow, I don't see that happening. Jim Bob Duggar stands second to no one.
He’s probably taking over the church of JBs shack outback so he can clean toilets when he’s finished speaking.

She looks like she smells something rancid. Which is kind of impressive because I'm assuming she has an impervious olfactory system to live in that dumpster of a house.
That’s what I meant!! 😂, hair and awkward pose aside she looks like she’s trying to force a smile! No real “holding” him on his face, so staged and disingenuous.

Another reason rookies might not want to dance next to her could be... if they outdance her or make her look bad in any way, TK/VK may feel threatened and encourage Kelli to cut the threats. Kelli is TKs puppet..
