  1. You beat me to the punch, @Kalibean. It popped up on my Facebook as well so of course I hopped on here to post it.
  2. Thanks for answering. I always wondered and since you mentioned that you would let the retiring vets reveal themselves, I thought it was as good a time as any to ask.
  3. I mean this is the most genuine, non-snarky possible way - do your friends know you post on here? Or have they tried to find out who the anonymous one is in their midst?
  4. I thought it was interesting to listen to Kelli and Meredith trying to talk quietly and thinking that the mic on her phone wouldn't pick it up.
  5. NBC 5 is currently live on Facebook at the Cheerleaders' rehearsal.

    S11.E08: The Finish Line

From the Texas Monthly article about Suzanne Mitchell's passing: "When Arkansas businessman Jerry Jones bought the team in 1989, he unceremoniously fired Schramm and Landry and hired Jimmy Johnson as the new head coach. Mitchell knew that her days were numbered. I knew I’d be fired, because Jones was trying to get rid of everything that recalled Landry or Schramm. He and Jimmy Johnson and a bunch of their cronies came down when we were getting ready for the spring Department of Defense tour. They had drink in their hands, most of them drunk. Absolutely—like they were coming to a strip club and making themselves comfortable to watch. I told them to get the hell out, and they just laughed and left. Let’s just say I informed Jones, “I’ll be leaving May 8,” and leave it at that. It’s memorialized in my mind, I’ll tell you that."
  7. In the Week 4 results thread, this was posted:
  8. Pretty sure that whole Derek piece was just to remind everyone how it's his show since he and his partner aren't doing as well this season.
  9. Nice article in Texas Monthly about Suzanne Mitchell's passing. http://www.texasmonthly.com/the-daily-post/remembering-suzanne-mitchell-longtime-director-dallas-cowboys-cheerleaders/
  10. I just wonder if the girl on the left got the same treatment as Kat did. Maybe her hair hid the cut-outs so it wasn't an issue?
  11. @ShellyB During training camp, are the veterans called out for mistakes very much or is it limited to only rookies? Or are the veterans so on top of their game that it rarely happens?
  12. @ShellyB I apologize in advance, but I'm curious about the rehearsals and such. What is a typical rehearsal like in terms of schedule? How does a rehearsal during filming compare to one that isn't filmed? How does a training camp rehearsal compare to a regular season rehearsal?
  13. I think CMT influences them more than we'd like to believe. It used to be that they'd take their squad from auditions, plus one or two and cut only a few during training camp. Now, since the show, they're up to 10 or more. They used to have everyone wear the same thing to practice; now they're separated by pink and blue. Look at all of the "special guest appearances" and "mentors" that they have now and in the past - Melissa, Kellie Pickler, and Kacey Musgraves. Musgraves baffles me a little because no way were Kelli and Judy okay with that pot-smoking country singer critiquing their team. Every year it seems like they have a new "fitness or health guru" that is sponsoring the team or has paid for product placement.
  14. Wasn't Kelli's too at some point, more recently? I know I saw something related to her husband filing papers.
  15. What makes you say that? Their appearance on the finale of the Bachelorette?
  16. I think part of that may be due to the fact that they are on a reality TV show, which is never completely real. You have to really want to be on the team in order go through all of that and run the risk of them portraying you as something you're not.
  17. It wasn't her but I can't for the life of me think of who it was. I can see her face but I can't remember her name. Kristina? She was supporting her family and was living out of her car during auditions until training camp and then approached another TCC asking if she could stay with her.
  18. A long time ago, someone mentioned that before the show started, they would take around 38 candidates into training camp. They knew who they wanted at the auditions and might make a few cuts if someone wasn't living up to what they needed.
  19. I thought I saw her name on the credits but wasn't sure if it was the same girl.
  20. You mean they actually feed them lines and not everything they say is genuine and comes from them? I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you.
  21. I believe so. I think Judy said they could fit forty on the field if they really wanted to.
  22. I think they at least give them two weeks or so, but my memory may be a bit fuzzy.
  23. While it's true that her words do come from her, producers have a way of manipulating and badgering you to get you to say what they want to hear. They'll ask the same question repeatedly or in different ways to make it more appealing and to add drama to the show. I wonder if some of these girls think "If I say what the producers want to hear, I'll get on Kelli and Judy's good side" or maybe they're too afraid to push back in any sort of way. Case in point - Kinley Minchew a few years back who shut it down after her interview panel when Judy asked about the pageant timing and in her "one on one" interview with CMT gave the very brief response of "They asked questions and it was fine".
  24. I'm thinking either Claire or Jennifer. The video isn't the best so it's hard to tell.
