Yeah I’m not a huge Tess fan, pretty neutral, but she was in a terrible situation. If I were K&J I would have put VK in literally any other group (Maddie/Amy had GL1 experience and Heather is, well, Heather). They did Tess a disservice by putting all of those rookies with her.

I love how classy Brennan is but truth be told I wouldn’t hate to see her reply to VK that they are actually NOT friends..

All kidding aside - WOW Lily and Meredith aren’t complete shocks although totally heartbreaking. But Brennan and Hannah you have got to be kidding me. Both are poised, intelligent, well spoken ambassadors for this team. And considering that’s what they will be this season, ambassadors, not dancers, I just can’t get past this. I take *some* solace in knowing they are probably better off getting away from that toxic environment but not enough to make this feel ok

I’m just catching up (retail worker for a luxury dept store helping customers online - you wouldn’t believe what I’m seeing!) I’m obviously not going to speak for anyone else but here’s my two cents on the difference between the current raging nepotism and the favoritism of the past... The Morgan’s, Kali’s, take your pick, didn’t ACT like they were favorites and could do no wrong. They didn’t treat their peers like crap or tattle to their mom about them. They didn’t expect to be on SHOW GROUP as rookies or behave inappropriately in the office with Kelli and Judy. In fact, I recall Kelli even saying Morgan was a locker room favorite and it was clear Kali was also very well liked. I won’t dispute that a lot of this is TPTB shoving her down our throats and I do not blame Victoria for that. I absolutely blame her for her behavior and narcissism that has made one of my long time favorite shows almost completely unwatchable at this point.

I know this is only wishful thinking but maybe Kelli is letting VK get all of these accolades because she’s only cheering this year? Sigh... a girl can dream

Personally, I don’t think it’s a “big conspiracy” so much as people like Travis, Denise and, especially Melissa, want to be featured on this show. You want to be asked back? You’re going to have to give praise to VK. I’m not even saying Kelli has verbally mandated it but my guess is it’s an unspoken thing. She’s not the worst TCC but she’s certainly not even close to being the best (Kelsey, Chandi, Amanda and Lisa to name a few) and yet she’s the only one who’s consistently spoken about. Rewatching on Pluto, that kind of honor used to be reserved for the MAJOR standouts - Melissa, Amy T, Holly, hell even my least favorite ever Jenn K. The majority of my issue with all of this echos what many people have stated before. Any other TCC who behaved the way Victoria did last year would have been dismissed and given a Whitney like “you’re not right for this team” talk. Instead, Kelli decided to UP the ante and not only put her on the team but gave her a spot on show group which in the past has honored their best ambassador dancers, which she is not. Had Victoria taken even 1 year off to do literally anything else, and came back truly more grown up and a better dancer, I would have been fine with her making the team. Her teeth bother me but otherwise she’s got great legs and I’ll admit she’s probably better than the Morgan’s, Teri’s, insert your choice here. But that’s not what happened. Apologies for my rant. I’ll see myself back to my usual lurking/liking comments status!

Can’t believe it’s the finale and it’s the first time I thought to check the forum for this show! Gino coming in 3rd feels a lot like season 4 when Twitch was actually the runner up but they named Katee the “top girl” so it made it seem like she was 2nd. I’ll have to go back and look but I’m pretty sure this is the first time I genuinely would have been happy with the outcome no matter what. There’s something contagious about Bailey, Gino is super strong, Mariah has an “it” factor and I agree with Laurieann that Sophie is a brilliant story teller. I have a lot more thoughts but for now I’ll end with this. For me, I think a lot of the problem is these are children up on that stage. When this show first aired I was finishing up college so the contestants were about my age. They are all exceptionally talented but don’t feel as mature as past seasons. But again, that might be more about me than them.

There can only be one tall, blonde legacy on this team. And it’s no surprise who Kelli will pick...

I’m well aware. Many times. But usually they are not cut the first night they get critiqued on the field. Especially not this early on in TC

I’m so overwhelmed with thoughts. Going to try to nail them down. Travis Wall. I’m a huge SYTYCD fan but have never really liked him. Was probably in the minority celebrating Benji winning season 2. Well this just proves why. How desperate to come back do you have to be to say VK was the best in the room?? Gina SLAYED, Lisa crushed it, Rachel W blew it out of the water. But Victoria was the best? Yikes Kat got my attention in a good way for literally 5 seconds when she said she would be homeless with that adorable kitty before she would stay somewhere without her (him?). Other than that I’m honestly so not impressed. With her dance, attitude, attention seeking, etc The cuts were super weird, abrupt and very cold. Like everyone else has said, to do it mid way through rehearsal must be devastating.. and to not even warn Ashley, when certain other people spent more time in the office last year than they did dancing...blah Thank you all for coming to my Ted Talk

No. And I’m not even sure why they brought her in in the first place. She was on SYTYCD during auditions, it’s not like she was Top 10/20! Might as well have brought VK in after her cut last season as a choreographer if those are the needed credentials. Although we all know what they always had planned for her...

Still watching season 10... forgot how much I can’t stand the “choreographer” who ripped into Angela

I felt the exact same way! Like, oh you’re a cat person? Girl, we good ETA - I already knew she could dance, but was on the fence based on her back story. Now I’m sold

Yes! She was trying to be so strong that she was throwing herself off! Taylor was so much better

I still, vividly, remember her open mouth when Judy told her she had poor kick technique her first time in training camp. No idea how she ever made it

I couldn’t possibly disagree with this more. Maddie was kind, humble and respectful her first year auditioning. She didn’t lie, throw an employer under the bus, or cause any tension amongst the TCCs. There is no comparison to be made between the 2 other than they both got cut their first try
