Sean randomly reposted a pic of him, Colin & MRJ on IG, and MRJ tweeted about filming for his show ending for the season. So I suspect we're getting Neal in 5x14 -- which makes sense given that Milah is in it and there were reports of the young actor who played Bae being on set. Ugh, I hope he's just there for one ep & not more.

ABC will start Once after POTUS's speech ends, per Adam. Also the above TVLine link has been updated for ABC to reflect that.

The Sunday night game starts at 8:30 p.m. My guess is his address will be over by then. I'm sure NBC hopes it is! The President is a sports fan, so he's aware of that. I'm guessing the Canadian broadcast will start at 8 p.m. as usual, so stay off Twitter if you don't want spoilers before it starts here! This is a midseason finale of one of ABC's big shows. They will catch hell if they don't show it in its entirety.

Yeah, he's doing a national address on terror at 8 p.m. Eastern. My guess is Once will simply start late, after the address ends. It's similar to what CBS does on Sunday nights when the 4:30 NFL game runs over time. It just sets the entire night's lineup back.

Those are both interesting theories! The former would explain the discontinuity of Hook's dad being his same age. And the latter would explain Zelena being in the UW but leave her not dead. My critical mind wants to be all pissed off about Hook simply flipping at the last moment and all the logic holes and character fuckery that would've been solved by him actually having a long con instead. But I think I've finally reached the acceptance level of not expecting quality, continuity or respect for characters from TSTW, so I'm more zen about the whole thing. That said, they could very well still eff things up enough in the midseason finale and piss me off enough to make me quit the show. I'm just waiting to see how it goes. I need Hook to make a conscious, free choice to fight the darkness and save Emma/the others. That seems to be where it's going, but … TSTW. I don't trust them a bit after 4x11.

And Emma still is a Dark One herself, so her reactions are going to be somewhat skewed by that, as well.

And think about Cruella, too! There are multiple villains here who deserve a way worse level of hell than Hook.

Colin said the UW is worse than death. What we've seen is off-kilter and a bit wastelandish, but then there are kids and Milah as a crossing guard, so that doesn't seem worse than death. I wonder what horrid things are going on in the studio that we HAVEN'T seen?

I feel like SOMEBODY is going to drink something they shouldn't in the UW and forget who they are, because of that casting description for Hades talking about not being a character you wanted to have a drink with, and, of course, the Persephone myth. I wouldn't be surprised if all/some of the Parade of Dead Characters don't remember who they are -- though that would certainly cut down on the emotional confrontations with the Nevengers, so that wouldn't be dramatically wise. The obvious candidate would be Hook, since he's there alone for some length of time, but would they hit the CS angst that hard again in the B arc after all the A arc angst with them?

They should've stuck Neal & Belle in there too.

I would agree except for the cemetery filming for 5x12. Unless that turns out to be a flashback to between the sacrifice and Gold blood scenes in 5x11 LOL.

I don't think Rumple is opening a portal to the UW for them to travel there at that point, because there's the later cemetery filming in 5x12 that may or may not include a grave marker for Killian. I think Rumple's portal brings Hook back for the Hook/Emma scene that was the last scene filmed that night. I think they get to say a goodbye, but Hook has to return to the UW -- or it's just his ghost that is brought. The next morning is the cemetery scene, then the group takes off for the UW -- them going to the UW has to be really soon after the Rumple blood scene, because they're all wearing the same clothes.

I don't think it's going to be either as horrible & downer OR as romantic & wonderful as some assume. I assume it will be rushed and anticlimactic, because TSTW.

Colin has always tended toward the A&E School of Spoiling in that he tends to make things sound worse than they are. He follows their lead and really tries not to spoil anything. He did that with the Ursula ep, making it seem like Hook had done THE WORST THING EVER TO HER SOUL. And he did it pre-S4, telling people to be ready for Hook to do bad & piratey things to Rumple, when it was just a bit of stupid blackmail. So while the interview did leave me bummed and make me sure Hook doesn't have a plan, I still think there's room for it not to be as bad as it seems and for Hook to come to his senses. Colin is always firm in that Hook loves Emma, and I liked that he put the kibbosh on any of the Milah fretting. But tables are being procured from Ikea.

Guess Emma isn't off with Hook somewhere. Colin's interview pretty much confirmed that Hook has no plan working against the Darkness. I just pray that he breaks through to help/save Emma before sacrificing himself. Otherwise, its a MASSIVE disservice to Hook & CS. (I know, welcome to the show.)
