  1. I really like Henry. He has some endearing qualities. But was he really a good fit for this show? It would have been hard for a lot of women to build a relationship at the pace he needed. Karen is a good example of this as well. People who sign up for this experience need to dive in and not hold back. Neither Henry nor Karen were quite prepared for this.
  2. I think that Olivia misled the experts about her strong desire to not have children (as she professed in the reunion episode). She must have known that that would limit her chances of getting chosen to be on the show. It was a huge mistake to pair her with someone who does want children, and I do not think the experts would have been blind to the fact. I also think that Karen and Miles reached a point in their relationship when he gave her an ultimatum. That made him attractive to her. (Very strange).
  3. I am no fan of Olivia. But it did pull at my heartstrings when she asked Brett if there was a chance that things could turn around. For a brief second, she had a pleading look on her face just before he told her no thanks.
  4. It's hard to imagine why Henry and Christina do not call it quits like Brett and Olivia. I think it is because Christina is homeless and jobless. No where to go, so why not drag things out.
  5. I think under normal circumstances what Brett did would be pretty crass. But this was a coronavirus shutdown. It was a very stressful time in especially in NOLA. He just probably wanted to get home as soon as he could to hunker down, and perhaps he made an impulsive move. It sounds like he and Olivia had already discussed their decision so it was time to get on with life. I cut him some slack given the Covid situation.
  6. It is not clear why Karen signed up for this show if she finds it painfully difficult to be married to a stranger. This is supposed to be an adventure. She acts as if she doing this beyond her free will.
  7. Olivia looked so happy on the day of her wedding. That look has died off. She is really mourning the loss of a romantic fairy-tale ending to this story. I don't think it really is about losing Brett per se. It's about losing someone that she could call a husband.
  8. Olivia thinks that because she has a college degree and a high earning career, she is a good catch. But she is very self-centered, which makes her undesirable. She cannot understand why Brett is not showing more appreciation of being matched with her. Perhaps someone who is older, and has kids from another marriage.
  9. I think that Olivia wants to be married but on her terms. Her ideal partner is someone who earns a good income, is carefree with money, and doesn't want children. That is a tall order for a partner. I do not think she is going to find too many committed men that fit into that category. Brett does not fit that profile and she should just leave him alone and stop berating him about it.
  10. It is interesting to me how much these "rocky marriages" are taken so seriously. It is not a failure if the experiment does not work out. But Olivia seems so desperate to make it work that she comes across as very whiny and off-putting. Does she actually believe that Brett and her were meant to be together? Brett obviously doesn't think so.
  11. Brett is not so bad. He may be sarcastic but he is just trying to get through the 8 weeks. He knows that this is not a true match for him. Olivia is pretty frustrated that Brett has given up, hence her constant annoyance. This MAFS marriage is just much more important to her than it is for Brett.
  12. I am surprised that 4 adults (Meri excluded) made such a bad financial decision together. They got caught up in a fantasy and there was no voice of reason. At their ages, you would expect alarm bells to go off when Kody said that they were putting all of their assets into this land deal. Kody did have a moment of buyer remorse when the deal was made on the phone, but at that point, it was too late. He had sold his wives on the idea. Losing the cul-de-sac means that the children will not grow up together and only see their father once or twice a week at best. This is more than a financial loss.
  13. It is sad to see that Jazz was treated so rudely by Ahmir when she was so excited about having a first-time boyfriend relationship. His remarks that she cannot kiss, her vagina is creepy, and the fact that he would not acknowledged that he missed her when she so wanted to hear it were very callous. On his instagram page (google Ahmir Steward instagram), he blames his snarky behavior on mental health issues. Sounds like a convenient excuse for acting snarky.
  14. I agree with you and I personally do not have a negative opinion of Robyn. However, her reaction to Kody's distress when he was having buyer remorse seemed telling in that she was very worried he was going to change his mind. I think that she was a voice in the back of his head all along.
