  1. I had to laugh when I heard Buddy and Chelsea say how steep the price was for the house, seeing as how I'm paying almost that much for a crappy 1 bedroom apartment in Denver...but then remembered how much cheaper it is to live there lol. I also have been wondering what that liquid was on the couch in the RV, sweat? Pee? I really hope the RV company deep cleans the whole thing..and replaces the couch.
  2. She doesn't quite seem quite all there mentally, though. The way she speaks and how her face looks, it sounds like she has trouble comprehending basic information. When her mom was asking her how many hamburgers she wanted, her eyes were half closed and it looked like she was thinking way too hard about that lol. I also thought it was interesting when her mom was saying goodbye, Holly was looking at her like a toddler looks at their mom when being dropped off at their first day of preschool. She's very child like.
  3. I'm only about 30 minutes into the episode, but so far Justin is one of the few that I'm not repulsed by. I really do have sympathy for him and want him to succeed. Also, he's not a bad looking guy and I think he would be very attractive if he manages to lose lots of weight. I like how he actually sounds mature not whiny when he speaks, unlike some of the other men on the show (i.e. James, Stephen, etc). edit: Almost finished the episode and I'm so happy for his progress! Hopefully he continues and is finally able to live a happy, healthy life.
  4. Anybody else see the uncanny resemblance between Casey and Fat Bastard from Austin Powers?
  5. Yeah I don't see how they were allowed to show possession of cocaine.
  6. Well thank goodness he put on pants, to bathe. At least the neighbors are spared the nakedness. I can see the other obese family members being somewhat successful, but the fact that he blames his father for his weight makes me have no hope for him, surgery or not.
  7. I didn’t say every woman at that weight would be a bad mother, but if your weight is limiting you from properly caring for a child (or worse, making your child take care of you), then I just don’t think it’s a good idea to adopt one. I’m sure there are 400 lb women who are able bodied and able to take of both themselves and their children but there are many that are unable to do even the basic of everyday things. Also, I’m sure Whitney does it for the attention as well but I don’t see how there’s any way she could reach certain “areas” given how large she is. The back thing that happened in the shower seemed pretty legit as well.
  8. While Whitney may not (yet) be 600 lbs, she's already making her friends/family take care of her and help her with things only paid caregivers should deal with so I wouldn't be surprised if she forced a child to do the same. What would happen if it was just her and her child and she had the back thing happen in the shower, the child would have to help their naked crying mother to her bed and watch as she has a meltdown about it, that would probably traumatize them (hell even Buddy is probably traumatized!) She's also quite narcissistic so I can just see it being all about her and who cares what the child wants, it's all about what Whitney wants and needs. I suppose I should have clarified about the BMI restriction, I think it makes sense for morbidly obese people, not for those just overweight. I agree with @alabester, if you have a physical ailment that prevents you from properly caring for a child then maybe it's not a good idea to adopt one, specially being single.
  9. The BMI restriction makes sense when adopting, if someone is slightly overweight that's fine but after watching many My 600 lb Life episodes it's clear that morbidly obese people usually do NOT make good parents (typically forcing the children to care for them). It's like, are you going to care for them and raise them properly or will they be caring for you when you get too large to do anything for yourself and have no life of their own? As it is, Whitney already needs help with putting on shoes and rubbing chafing cream in the nether regions...
  10. Oh no, she's turning into Ruby Gettinger! Before you know it she's going to be saying how hacky she is with her life
  11. Why would Bravo get rid of someone with such a large fan base? Typically that's what keeps their shows going. (By large fan base I mean Kate, not Hannah just fyi)
  12. Laura came on to the boat criticizing the work of Kate, so I can see why Kate had a problem with her from the start. I mean, Laura blamed Ashton's accident on Kate's "cut corners", seriously? A guy almost died because the stews didn't make the bed correctly? And instead of proving herself as a previous chief stew and doing the best work possible to show Kate, Laura decides to slack and blames it on the supposed fact that no one else seems to care on the boat, so why should she? And God forbid Kate asks Laura to take the argument away from where the guests can hear (and really, as a "professional", couldn't Laura wait until AFTER dinner service to start a fight?) Laura can sure dish out the insults and criticism but if anybody dares to criticize her in the slightest they're just insecure and jealous! Kate has definitely had her bitchy moments throughout the show, but I feel she is justified this season.
  13. Funny how Laura kept telling Kate to calm down when Laura was the one freaking out talking nonstop while Kate was calmly trying to get a word in.
  14. I just wanted to mention, because I feel like it's rarely mentioned on the show, that Rhylee was actually a boat captain before! Like, she actually worked on a boat. And she was the captain! And she did a lot of fishing. Did I mention she was the captain? I just wanted to let everyone here know, because it's a rare known fact. Really, I think she should mention it more. Because it's THAT important. And I don't think anyone actually knows.
  15. This! If my mom had almost bled to death during delivery, that would make me want to deliver in the hospital even more seeing as how she would have died doing a home birth. That made no sense to me
  16. It's below this thread and the notes from the mod thread on the main page
  17. "Your hair should be looking better than it is right now." "Your body shouldn't have it's own gravitational pull right now." Is what Babs should have replied with.
  18. "I don't see why I couldn't finish the 8k" REALLY? You don't SEE why you couldn't finish? Apparently someone doesn't own a full length mirror. And of course "maybe I should lose some weight" never came up in conversation. I love cats but I do kind of understand Glenn's reaction to the cat seeing as how Whitney may be bordering along cat hoarder, don't get me wrong I don't see anything wrong with having a lot of cats if someone is able to take good care of them, however Whitney is very selfish and doesn't seem to take care of her own cats seeing as how their fur is usually matted and there's poop on the floor/furniture (also, Henchi never seems excited when she arrives at home lol). I do think it's annoying how he keeps bringing up grand children, not everybody wants/can have children. I had to laugh at Bab's saying "fornicate", then Glenn getting so mad about it.
  19. Anyone know if there's a thread for the new episode? I may explode with everything I already need to say watching thus far lol. *edit* nevermind, found it!
  20. Omg, I started reading the comments before watching the episode and thought the rag on a stick comments were referring to the Simpsons when Bart becomes obese and says "I wash myself with a rag on a stick", only to find out there actually was a RAG ON A STICK?! This is too good. Yes Buddy, she has an addiction...to food first and foremost, to attention, manipulation, guilt tripping people, but NOT to determination. I agree with everyone saying people need to stop helping her with doing things, why change when people cater to your every need? With her, it's just expected there will be help at all times. What pride is there in finishing the run when in the end you're a moaning, crying, hysterical wreck? It would have been far less humiliating for her if she would've just given up before resorting to hysterics. I do think a lot of it was to make her dad feel guilty for *forcing* her to do this, and of course the attention. I'm sure she was in a lot of pain (who wouldn't be when her weight is quite literally crushing her bones?), but I think she definitely exaggerated for effect. And of course she would compare her spirit to that of a warrior lol.
  21. I don't really understand the hatred for the ex from Babs, maybe if she had an affair with Glenn but I don't believe in hating a woman just because she had a prior relationship with your husband before your relationship.
  22. Come to think of it, I don't think we did and I really don't see how she could get up under her own power alone. Remember when she needed help getting up from her bed in one of the moving episodes from S2? I doubt her physical abilities have improved since.
  23. While I don't have anything against this therapist, what ever happened to the one from Erica's story from S5? She was probably the best therapist on the whole series.
  24. Why does she always sound drunk or on something??
  25. The patience of these paramedics is remarkable...
