  1. Show group auditions are tonight, right? How soon do they usually announce show group to the team after auditions? On the point discussion, I'm Team Gina, but if they decide to go with one of the group leaders, I think Amy is the best dancer of the bunch. She's not glamorous like Lexi or Alexis, but I think she has the look as much as, if not more than Maddie, and she has more pop than Heather and Tess IMO.
  2. Now that’s interesting! I wouldn’t think that would be an important factor for appearances, though it doesn’t surprise me with DCCs. Group placement....i can understand to an extent, but appearances? Do they think that a blonde little girl will be offended if the 2 DCCs at Walgreens are brunette 😂 That could explain some of Milan’s comments about appearances though. I thought it was strange that they would be summoning her for appearances during hours when she had class (seems easy enough to find girls who are free in the morning vs evening vs Mondays vs Thursday’s, etc), but hey, maybe all the other blondes were busy, and they didn’t want to ask Maddie or Lacey or one of the other brunettes to fill in.
  3. Ok, gotcha. I completely get the perception that Christina is entitled, and I’ve thought that as well, but I think that’s very different that stating that she thought she should’ve been ROTY, if it’s not based on her actually expressing that thought - verbally or otherwise. The show wasn’t filming then, so short of someone coming on here and saying that she was acting sullen or expressing this, (which I honestly don’t remember that occurring), how would anyone know? Anyway, I was just curious if there was any factual basis behind the rumor before it becomes gospel that Christina thought she should’ve been ROTY.
  4. Where did the "Christina thought she should've been the rookie of the year" rumor come from? I don't remember seeing it before, thought that doesn't mean it wasn't out there. Regardless, I always take these sorts of rumors with a grain of salt. Was she telling people this, and to such an extent that it made its way to the board? And if it made it all the way to the board, are we supposed to believe that it didn't make it to Kelli, who based on past behavior, would have probably flipped out about it? Given that the awards banquet is shortly before auditions, that would have been an easy cut for Kelli. IDK, I don't really buy that. I do remember that when Jenn A. got pro bowl, Danielle and Jasmine had some posts up on social media that appeared to throw shade at the situation (I don't remember if it was ever established whether it was about the pro bowl or not), but I don't remember anything like that about Christina (again, not saying it didn't happen but I don't remember that rumor).
  5. Agreed. I don’t even find it a question as to who is a better dancer between Savannah and Christina. Christina is full, but I haven’t seen a video where Christina stands out for being awful, yet there are several of Savannah. To be clear, I like Savannah just fine, and I can believe that she has other qualities that are beneficial to the team. However, it’s a dance team, and she is a noticeably weak dancer. No way around it.
  6. I love this. Glad to see that they just went with a picture of her smiling, as opposed to the “sexy pout.” I’m sure those pics are coming in the calendar, etc, but still....nice change of pace with this cover.
  7. Caroline's eyes are so pretty! MIranda looks great too. I actually prefer her darker hair though.
  8. If race can’t be changed but hair color can be, why is it more insulting to group people by race? For what it’s worth, I don’t think either is insulting in the context of how K&J make formations and try to create a bouquet of different looks bc I think they look at both factors (along with other physical factors). However, in a broader sense (beyond what I perceived to be what the original conversation was about), I think reducing ppl to hair color is more insulting, especially bc hair color isn’t even viewed the same between different races. If Brianna dyes her hair blond, she’s still not going to fit the picture of a “blonde” in American society, like Lexie does for instance. Each to his own tho. People certainly have different viewpoints on race/identity/etc, and that’s fine.
  9. Was it just an arrest or was she charged? I didn’t follow it, so I don’t know beyond seeing a mugshot posted here. I’m surprised she made it back as well, but maybe the boyfriend lied about it. Being arrested doesn’t always mean someone is guilty of a crime.
  10. I actually think they do at least when it comes to assembling the 4 groups - the large triangle formation, not so much. We’ve seen 5 blondes in a group, but I don’t think we would see 5 Asian girls in a group or would’ve seen Robyn/Jenna/Cersten/Khalyn/Keyra in a group, even though they were all varying years of seniority and had different looks. I agree with the initial post tho that it’s no more insulting to group women by race than hair color in this context.
  11. I think the answer is probably yes and no. I would be surprised if they get that specific (trying to find someone who looks like Kelli), but I imagine that they try to plug weaknesses, which are created by certain vets leaving. If they lose a lot of girls who were show team members and good at tricks, then I think they may look for dancers who have that technical ability, whereas if they lost a lot of vets who were power dancers, they may focus more on that. That type of “replacement” - more than trying to find replacements for actual cheerleaders.
  12. Hey, those of us with really common names are used to it lol. Try being a Jessica when it was the most common name for ten years. I’ve lost count of the the nicknames “given” to me over the years bc there were so many Jessicas in the class/group/team/etc lol.
  13. Agreed. I think it would be a shame if she doesn’t get point. Only a few of the second year vets match her in terms of performance IMO, and I don’t think they’re in the running as second years. Full disclosure tho...I’m not one who thinks the point needs to be sweet, or responsible, or a leader, or anything but the best dancer. Group leader positions are for the leaders IMO. Tone down Gina’s bleach blond hair, and she’ll look fine there. As for Kalyssa, I actually think her page has toned down some from last summer when she had all of the cheesy towel posts. She seems like she has better photographers now. Regardless, she seems to like what she does, so good for her. Do you!
  14. No idea. It could’ve been a hair color thing, or they may have just preferred Kashara. I think there’s no doubt that Holly is a stronger overall dancer than Kashara (and stronger than Jenna as well), but I honestly think Holly is much better in other styles. Even when they move out of the triangle, and she’s in the center of the formation, my eyes don’t go to her. They follow Jenna. I’ve just never loved Holly in the DCC style. Just my opinion, but I think Holly ended up in the right place in LA. She’s great in jazz and hip hop. As for Maddie, between Kalyssa(!) outdancing her in that hip hop routine 2 years ago and Gina outdancing her all of last year in the formation, I just don’t think her dance is up to par for point. It’s not even a looks thing for me.
  15. Kashara was in the triangle, on the other side of Lacey. It wasn’t a shock that she would be in line for point with Jenna and Holly out and Erica injured, IMO given her position, and that wasn’t the deepest team in terms of power dancers. She just wasn’t part of the conversation in the summer (neither was Lacey) because those 3 were considered the top dancers. I think Kashara was further back in a performance earlier that summer (I think Amy posted it to her ig back then) and Jinelle was to Jenna’s right, but she (Kashara) had already moved up by Oxnard.
  16. I’ve seen people say that Mia comes off like a mean girl or at least sounds like one. I’m not sure which Nicole you’re referring to (Hamilton or Bulcher), but I think I’ve seen posts saying that Abigail wasn’t a good dancer- and that also seems to be the discussion about Maddie (her danceability and hair lol) not that she’s personally disliked. I think the older DCCs get discussed less than the current or more recent ones as well. If those girls were on the show now, you would probably see varying opinions. In general though, I’ve never understood the urge to try and get everyone on the same page regarding any girl. (This is a general comment, not aimed at the quoted post). We’re adults. We don’t have to like the same people. That would be more like a cult than a message board.
  17. There is really is no cheerleader who is universally liked or disliked on the board. I get how it can be frustrating when people don’t like your favorite, but if you’re a Maddie fan, I think the fact that TPTB love Maddie is more important than what anyone here thinks. We’re just fans giving out opinion on a message board. If they (K&J) wanna put her at point, they will. I think they (Shelly/Judy/etc) monitor the board - we’re basically a free focus group - but I don’t think they’re making decisions from what they read here. Personally, I’m fine with Maddie being on the team, but I don’t get the hype about her dance ability at all. I find her average - not bad, but not great. However, she seems very sweet in a non-phony way, and I do think that she gives off a much different vibe than other girls on the team. I can see why many people are drawn to that.
  18. Tess, Maddie, Heather, and Amy all seem like perfect nice girls. I have nothing whatsoever against them, but if these are the 4 group leaders, which seems likely, I can’t remember a more boring group of 4.
  19. Gina’s bleach blond hair actually bothers me more than Maddie’s. I’ve never really cared for Maddie’s curls, but Gina’s hair seems like such an easy fix, and it makes little sense that they went with this color in the first place. Her hair looked fine at the swimsuit shoot last year.
  20. I don’t think it was bad either, but I could see them (K&J&C) disliking any information beyond posting pictures and asking your followers for good luck wishes. That’s how they roll. Is she the one who told people that a girl was late and missed her interview?
  21. That’s a good point. The DCCs like to control all information. All companies do, but the DCCs need for control extends much farther into the personal lives of the dancers than you would find in other jobs. I can see them being like “if she’s already sharing information w/out our expression, who knows what she’ll do if she makes it.”
  22. I’ve never considered Alexis to be one of the best dancers, but she definitely has the “look” for point. I can see why they’re featuring her. Definitely one of the most beautiful girls on the team.
  23. While I don’t think Heather had a nose job, I wouldn’t necessarily expect us to notice if she took a break from working out. Several of the DCCs have had work done (obvious boob jobs), and then they just show up w/out there being any prior noticeable absence. For example, I don’t remember anyone pointing out that Christina had disappeared but she definitely had work done recently. Now the recovery for a boob job may be much different than a nose job, so it may not be apples to apples (I’m not all well-versed in plastic surgery).
  24. Edit...didn’t realize the picture was already posted! Im surprised to see Maddie get one honestly, but maybe it was better in person.
  25. Amber flies under the radar, but she was one of the stronger rookies last year, IMO.
