I loved the first wedding dress Fernanda tried on...second one was nice.  Not a huge fan of the third one.

Yeah, hard pass on the third dress. Maybe with alterations, it’ll be a better fit. I thought she’d choose the 2nd one.

If I have to listen to Leída’s self-righteous selfish ass one more minute I am about to turn this show off...and that’s saying a lot. We get it. Youre miss fancy pants from a rich family. SHUT. UP. ALREADY.

Listen, Leida has class. She has taste. How dare you insist she shut up? We should all be so lucky to learn from rich, classy Leida.

Anyone notice that Colt’s mother was sitting on a nice couch during the apartment conversation? Haha. I think Colt sucks. He gets Larissa’s hopes up with promises of couches and cars and apartments and then backtracks to say he has to speak to his mother. I get that she’s an elderly widow, but if she really respected her son and Larissa, she’d encourage them to begin their lives together. She made it sound so depressing that she might have to go to a senior community. Newlyweds have every right to want privacy.  I come from a culture where multigenerational houses are a thing, but everyone respects the rights of others to not want that for themselves right after marriage.

The loud music in and of itself is not significant but points to a pattern of immature vindictive behavior that would be part of her “documentation” of a hostile work environment.

I think you can see that the CaptaIn was concerned that Kate might have been at fault as he questioned her despite their TV relationship. Kate has a pattern of turning her team into a two against one situation. She did it with Amy, Rocky and now Caroline. Kate played power games at the expense of efficiency. Sure Rocky and Caroline have tons of issues but Amy is one of the best Stews in the whole franchise. With Kate it is always two against one. Not professional at all.

    Kate is a bad person.

I wouldn’t say she’s a bad person, but that tactic was not appropriate. I understand she was mad and tired of Caroline, but it wasn’t professional.

Quitting with 2 days notice is really shitty.

Basically, neither Caroline nor Kate had their finest hours last night.

  3. Tbh, in the moment, I think Captain Lee believed Kate was more than capable of what she was accused of doing to Caroline. Maybe it was an uncomfortable call, but he did have to speak to Kate about it. Kate was on WWHL last night and she still seems bothered by the discussion. I think she perceived as Captain Lee taking the side of someone he’s known less than a month versus someone he’s known several years. However, he oversees the boat and if one of his managers is being accused of bullying a subordinate, it has to be investigated.

Captain Lee and Kate were on WWHL a month or so back and still seem close, so I hope they’ve been able to move past what happened.

  5. I personally think that there is something troubling about Caroline. I hope she gets the help she needs from a professional. I gave her a pass initially because her foot looked genuinely swollen, but as time has gone on, she’s really shown that she’s unwell not just physically. I think Kate and Josiah were being very patient with her.

I'm going to defend Caroline on the foot issue.  I realize that Kate needed her help, but that girl's foot looked hella painful!  I'm thinking that a foot injury would have to be about the worst ailment one could have in that job.

I think it looked legitimately painful as well! I have a friend who is allergic to mosquitoes and one bite caused her leg to swell up so much, she couldn’t put weight on it. She was miserable. Caroline has to be on her feet for the job, so I’m sure she was miserable as well.

I have to wonder about when she took the drink orders though. Is it frowned upon to write down drink orders on a charter? I’d rather write it down than risk not remembering who ordered what.

  7. Other than Emily and Gina, the ladies were an embarrassment. I’m sure the employees who served them on this trip have seen there fair share of ignorant tourists, but the OC ladies must take the cake. I hope they were tipped generously.

I went from liking Shannon to feeling like she needs a mandatory mental health break. She is just so sad all of the time. The constant complaining and moaning just has to stop. I understand venting, but she never gives it a break. It sucks she has to leave the house,  but that’s what happens with rental properties. She has more than enough money in the bank to find a new place to live. Maybe she can use Kelly’s realtor.

Emily’s body is amazing! In the OC land where bolted on boobs and lipo are king, she stands out as being natural and gorgeous.

I laughed at Gina’s retirement villa joke. I think Tamra sees herself as a cool, young mom still so I know that probably bothered her. I do not care for age shaming, but I don’t like Vicki or Tamra so I got a good chuckle at that. Sorry not sorry.

I call BS on this.  The way Darcey answered that question seemed very much like she was improvising (badly) on the spot.  She would have been much more impressive if she had just answered "no - I'm done with dating for a while", or "yes, he's 50 years old, owns a coffee shop and thinks I'm the bomb"  Either way, if she could have demonstrated contentment and happiness, that would have been a huge middle finger to Jesse

I don’t think she has a new guy either. But I kind of wish she said something like, “I met a wealthy guy who is treating me with respect and loves me for me...I have not experienced that in some time”. Just to piss Jesse off.

It's a little more complex than that. In the Philippines abortion is flat out illegal - the constitution of the country actually stipulates that life begins at conception and that abortion is legally murder. Terminating a pregnancy is a felony offense and women convicted of having had abortions do significant prison time for murder committed to conceal their "dishonor."  So there's a LOT of illegal abortion, but it's not medical. It's pharmaceutical - home brewed teas that contain any number of herbs (there are legitimate abortifacient herbs out there) and there's also apparently a thriving black market for an ulcer medicine whose main ingredient is misoprostal, which is basically RU-486.  So what we were hearing was probably some really, REALLY guarded information about Hazel having either (1) actually used a black market method to abort or (2) spoken to an herbalist just in case. And in either of those cases she was committing an illegal act - so dancing around it on tv was necessary for her. Personally I'm guess she actually did take some kind of abortifacient.  The whole "tea that makes your period start" thing sort of sealed it for me.

This information is very helpful. When Tarek said he looked up the tea and found out what it was used for, I wondered if it really wasn’t a misunderstanding at all. It seems more likely that Hazel did induce an abortion...maybe because her application is being held up, she figured it would be best to wait.

  10. If Michael were shown treating Angela the way she did him, he would be called an abusive bully. Yelling at her, striking her, blaming her for his anger. Yeah, I feel no sympathy for Angela.

I cringed when the other asshole, Jesse, asked Darcy for a hug after he basically spent the last two episodes calling her a violent drunk. One last action of emotional abuse. I wanted her to tell him to go fuck himself with a bronzer covered makeup brush. But alas, she was too polite to do that.

He apparently just misunderstood when she was telling him she'd gone to see the local woman. Apparently, he thought she did it because she wanted an abortion, but that was not the case. I think she was having some pain and just went for some sort of pain relief. In the end she was not pregnant after all.

But he said he googled the tea and found out it was used for abortions. If it was a misunderstanding, how strange.

I literally had anxiety watching beastly-ass white trash Ang go off on Rachel who's probably a quarter of her size. I love that Rachel didn't back down.

Michael has to realize he dodged a bullet.  His days in america would consist of being screamed at by that boob-dragging, no-inside-voice-having dumpster fire all day every day.  He wouldn't be able to do a damn thing right and his nights would be nothing but having to go out and buy cake for the oldest 52 year old in the universe and then having to do lord knows what with it.

I think Michael is sick and tired of apologizing and trying to soothe Angela. It’s become a full-time job. I think he’ll find someone else to facilitate his move to the US...I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already in contact with women here.

Angela was ridiculous. The fight with Rachel was just strange. And she yelled at Tarek not to touch her when he wasn’t the only man trying to restrain her. I’m glad he said he was just going to sit down because the way this country is, Tarek would never hear the end of it as a Black man trying to restrain a white woman.

The town mother/abortion tea story Tarek and Hazel told was so strange. Like, I still don’t understand what was going on there. Why would she have an abortion if she’s pregnant by an American man?

Why would Michael rip her off before he gets to America? Maybe the ATM machine was outfitted with some sort of illegal card reader, and someone came in behind Michael who was able to withdraw money? The whole storyline is freakin' wild!

That’s my question. He stands to gain way more by being on her good side. He could have come here, played lovey-dovey for two years, and left. In the grand scheme of things, that’s not that long. As happy as he was when she proposed, I couldn’t see him sabotaging everything in this manner.

Also, ATM scams are pretty huge. There are tips online about how to check ATMs to see if they are rigged. I don’t even use them anymore unless absolutely necessary.

  14. I am skeptical of Hazel...I sincerely doubt her niece is the only person she could have stayed with as her parents at the very least would have made room for her. I think she got a taste of a decent apartment she knew she wouldn’t have to share and doesn’t want to go back to having to share bathrooms and beds with her family. She knew Tarik would ensure she had a roof over her head. I have no doubt her situation is dire, especially since she took time off of work to travel with Tarik, but she knew he’d help her out if she asked.

So Jon quit his job. This idiot. He’s an ex-con with a violent record. He should be thanking his lucky stars he even found a company willing to hire him. They paid him enough that he paid for Lucy’s childcare and I can’t imagine that’s cheap. Did he really need a week off for the wedding? Are courthouse weddings not an option?

  15. Caroline reminds me of me when I was younger. Wanting so badly to be seen that you choose the wrong times to interject when the cool kids are talking. Thankfully, I grew out of it. So far, I like her, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes.

I like Adrian. He seems sweet and focused.

Darcey knew what was coming.  There was a moment when she looked at Jesse's face and she just knew that boy had no good news for her.   Darcey has been dumped many times in her life and knows the sound of the card being dealt from the bottom.

    ...

Darcey knew.  I actually liked that...that she spotted the deception in the quasi-nice tone of Jesse asking her to go elsewhere for the sacrifice of her left over dignity.

I agree! She went from nerves to sadness as soon as she saw him, hence the tearing up. I felt bad for her in that moment because it’s clear she knew she hyped herself up for a renewed commitment or proposal for no reason.

Jesse was a dick for calling her out her arrest and her alleged alcohol addiction. How caring and kind of him to call out an issue she likely didn’t want aired out on camera. Based on what Stacey said on the special last night, she said she’s still very close with her sister. I have no doubt it was knock down fight, but that’s their business to work out.

Even with the warning that was upsetting.  That doctor or clinician who told her the baby was dead, the exam was over and get off the table was making me want to punch something.  I’m still irritated about it an hour later.

I don't have kids and have never been through a miscarriage and I'm sure it's horrific, but was Paul's immediate reaction normal? "What caused it, lack of food?"

It almost seemed like he was asking "Is this Karine's fault?"

On a more pleasant note, that 19 year old Mexican girl Fernanda in the previews for 90DF is smoking hot.

I don’t think he was saying it was Karine’s fault at all. He was looking for answers as most parents do after a miscarriage. They wonder if it was due to diet, stress, too much exercise, etc. It’s normal to wonder why. Most miscarriages happen due to genetic anomalies but because society doesn’t talk about miscarriages like they should, a lot of people don’t realize this.

My heart broke for Karine. Likewise for Paul when he started crying, but couldn’t follow what was happening. Very sad. I read online that TLC had some kind of warning on the screen before the scene, but I missed it. Anyone catch what it said?

This was really weird to me too. I mean, I GET it. When I was a few months in from birthing #2 I wouldn't have felt great about my body, but damn girl.  You couldn't even take 2 minutes to remove your blank spanx tank top or whatever the hell that was.  And when she does try on a dress and finds out its $750 and she can't afford that because they live paycheck to paycheck? One, that's not particularly expensive from a wedding dress, and two, where did you imagine you were going Goodwill? You walked into a dress shop. The seething coming from the salesclerk. Maybe the store got a little TLC money out of it but she certainly made it clear she was missing out on commission!

I get it, too. It sucks to not feel great about your body...if she really went from a size 0 to plus size after having Lucy, I imagine that change has been jarring. She didn’t understand though that consultants like to see the dresses on clients so they can make other recommendations or suggestions if something isn’t flattering. And her friend is awkwardly standing there staring at the curtain.

$750 for a wedding dress is a huge bargain, too. If she knew she had limited money for a dress, she should have expressed this. Or she could have gone online like a lot of brides on a budget do and found something on Amazon for under $100.

Not sure of her actual job but here are some good options for her:

    1. Seat filler at funerals (to set the mood).

    2. Health care worker whose job it is to break bad news to patients.

    3. Sobby romantic movie reviewer.

    4.  High school guidance counselor that helps students on a path toward making good life decisions. Wait no, not that.

    5.  Comedian. Wait no...

    6.  A costumed character spreading joy at a theme park. Ok again no...

I guess I only have three real options.

She can be a mascara spokesperson. Curious as to what brand she uses because I think these last few episodes are evidence of a solid endorsement!

If Paul gets up, walks out, and goes home, there is very little that Karine can do to claim paternity and child support. She doesn't have the finances to wage the kind of legal fight an international custody and child support battle would require. Paul still holds all the power at this point. He can walk out and she would be stuck. Karine is a poor girl living in a third world country. She has very few resources.

TLC tweeted that Paul’s mom actually  called while they were waiting for the test results and she told him that even he is too broke to be a dad right now. He’s still far better off than Karine financially though.
