  1. That would explain why it was so easy for Xander to get him in a choke hold. "Arrgh, arrgh, safe word, SAFE WORD!!!" Oh well, too late.
  2. Which led to yet another one of my favorite tv tropes. After winning the death match with the Abbie, crawling up out of a vertical hole and into the sunlight, what does our hero do? Run off into the woods? Nope. Take a look around to see if there are more Abbies in the area? Nope. "I think I'll just collapse right here on my back and rest awhile, no matter the danger."
  3. Only a few nitpicks: I immediately recognized the number Reese got as a lat/long, but Shaw didn't? They need to train these spec. ops people better. And again on Shaw. An MP in full uniform walking down the hall with her hair hanging down? That might attract some attention from any officer on site. I wonder what the two actual MPs will be thinking when they wake up in their undies. Possible last scene of the series: The subway car, Bear inside. A monitor lights up, and lines of code start appearing. Root calls him, Bear notices, and approaches the monitor. We see the code through Bear's eyes. After several minutes (tv time), the code ends, and Bear blinks. Woof! Fade to black.
  4. I still wonder how Pilcher managed to build this massive (I mean really massive) wall and infrastructure that was shown in season 1. Was WP already abandoned when he started the project? If so, did he import hundreds of people into the future to build this wall around the town? Logistical questions abound. Or, if it was still human inhabited, did no one in town raise any questions? In addition to booze and ice cream, WP seems to have a pretty fair fashion store. Is there a reason for the security to be wearing bulletproof vests and helmets for their outdoor excursions? Megan has got to be the creepiest character in the whole town. Put some sugar in that Kool-Aid. And by the way, is there any reason why the adult women cannot bear children?
  5. Unfortunately, I don't see this one making it to the second course. Bad joke, yes. None of the characters have that necessary television quirkiness to rise above their innate unlikeability. The "Screw You, Randy" moment lost me any shred of sympathy for either of these two.
  6. Well, color me surprised. A technology called shot spotter actually exists. I just read about the real life application in Fresno, CA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunfire_locator
  7. It's difficult to root for the characters when you wouldn't let any of them inside your house in the first place.
  8. Then again, Naomi should have killed him, but apparently five bullets through the door didn't do the trick.
  9. Well alright, then. Unless Gunderson has some supernatural talent for holding his breath and digging out from a casket six feet under in yet another absurd escape from the netherworld, I'm pretty sure his story is done. Curiously though, the death warrant only mentioned two of the family members. That surgery sequence was more than enough. I realize that the journey was important to the plotline, but that was about the dumbest thing Cullen could have done. Tie Thor up and send Isaac for the doctor and the soldiers. 60 miles on a horse is a one day ride (a long day, to be sure).
  10. Finch hits a speed bump, and Amy squawks out "Goddamit, Harold, who taught you how to drive?" Finch looks up at a lamp post camera, completely mystified.
  11. A perfect return for Stan punching Philip for talking to his wife after the est meeting.
  12. Not being military, I would not presume to be authoritative, but there is also a general discharge, which does not carry the stigma of a dishonorable discharge, but also does not carry the benefit of an honorable discharge. And it must be disclosed on job applications if it is part of the application, such as federal job. On the other hand, since both are officers, they could resign their commissions (Then resign your goddamn commission, Hotlips!), but I'm not sure the Army would permit that in a war zone. And, on the other other hand, I'm not sure the Army would be willing to lose a couple of top flight surgeons to a breach in protocol and insubordination. Was that her who slapped the patient with the scars on his back on the tour through the ER? Please excuse the noise you might have heard during the episode; it was just the sound of my jaw dropping and hitting the ground.
  13. And we all thought Martha was just a chump in love.... I see a problem with the passports. How long ago did Irina send them? In addition to the language barriers, if they're totally blank inside, the agency will ask how he got into the country. If they have visa stamps from other countries in order to look authentic, the dates may give away the fact that the passports are fake. I was hoping that Agents Beeman/Aderholt would at least contact the bioweapons lab to find out how William was able to access the Lassa virus, even if it did not immediately lead anywhere. Maybe the first part of next season.
  14. It's a nonsensical program left over from the original WPites efforts to convince their minions that everything is normal in WP. See, they're actually progressing into forming a working government, the first step being pointless activities because "My boss told me to do it."
  15. So, I'm getting the impression this show is not endorsed by the Bronx Chamber of Commerce. That (Chekhov's)cocaine habit is going to come back to bit him. How is he paying for it? Sorry, but dealers don't just give it away for free, just because they were buds way back when. No disrespect toward the handicapped, but, jeez, Tommy, you got decked by a guy in a chair? I do get a bit hungry after watching the show, to be honest. But not hungry enough to pay $40 for some quail.
  16. Yeah, I think Pete Townsend may have made a reference or two about it in his songs. :)
  17. "Dog and a beer" takes on a whole new meaning...
  18. Speaking of the contact with Martha's parents, after her dad sat down and talked with Stan, is there a likelihood that he will again contact Stan to report that phone call, mostly because of its vague nature? If Stan is on it, they may start/continue the surveillance of their phone, which may lead back to Gabriel.
  19. That's quite possible, too. I'm thinking more along the lines of Agent Aderholt, who actually pursues a line of inquiry.
  20. I'm sure the conversation with Pastor Tim and Alice, along with Philip/Elizabeth, Henry, and Stan would have been most scintillating. I have a feeling that now that William has been exposed, the trail will lead fairly quickly to Don, especially if some access to L4 is done. From Don, the trail will lead, at least on paper, to "dead Patty" and her family, giving the FBI more suspects to tie together. That is, if William makes it that far. By the way, it seemed to me that they did not find anything useful in the search of Don's office. Yet, this episode, Philip gives William a 5-digit code. A code that simple would not be written down. Did I miss how he obtained it? Regarding Paige's reaction to the killing, it makes sense to me in part because Elizabeth made no effort to contact the police. Killing a mugger in self defense is not such a heinous offense, but running away from the scene without reporting it shows (to Paige) that her mom truly isn't part of the culture she has grown up in. That would be a crushing blow to an adolescent.
  21. Not to mention that two highly accomplished assassins suddenly can't hit targets less than 100' away, despite an onslaught of over a hundred shots fired. But then again, the Samaritan guys are, fortunately, the JV team also. Maybe the two machines will meet in a titanic battlebot war and both collapse. Just my personal opinion, but I would be perfectly accommodating to the idea of living my life from day to day without a computer program determining whether the world is safe for me, or anyone else. A little anarchy can be a good thing. .
  22. And they go and sacrifice that cool panel truck instead. Apples, carrots, corn, cabbage? Did they raid a Von's or what? That stuff takes time to harvest. Maybe the next raid should be a Best Buy for more comm. equipment.
  23. So, after a night's shootout which leaves multiple fatalities in the precinct, widespread destruction and the like, the NYPD finally gets things under control and secured. An officer wipes his brow, says to himself, "I'm glad I work over in 15", walks out the door, and gets killed by a falling cellphone that Reese just threw off the roof.
  24. I would add that Elizabeth, not Keri is looking rough this season. I think it's an intentional use of makeup in order to show the increasing strain that their lives have created for them.
