The writers could only have Boden involved in the stupid diet plot and not have him available to advise Casey with the car owner or the Casey/Severide little beef? A little disappointed Boden cracked the diet. Poor Severide looked really hurt to be ordered by Casey in front of his men. Then for the rest of the episode all his scenes are from his office or the apartment. Lily thinks Hermmann is the smartest business man she has ever known and a good mentor?! She must still be in shock. Why would anyone go to the police when Casey and Severide are here? With all the scamming talk, I was wondering if Sylvie's mom is really pregnant or Lily was trying to scam Hermmann out of money. No Rescue squad sent to the pizzeria? What was Silvio doing to get caught in that position? I think his workers set him up. Surprised Mouch didn't finish a box all by himself before the truck arrived at the station. She and Casey can raise the kid when the mom and husband meets their unfortunate accident. Only an opioid crisis can keep Severide and Stella apart for an episode. If Severide wants to be mayor of Chicago, he has enough accomplishments to put on his resume. Now add tracking drug dealers on his off days and stopping a kid pulling fire alarms.

If the show really wanted drama, have the ruthless Alpha start a fire in the cave and make our heroes really earn their escape. Nope! She just dropped the torch outside and the viewers are rewarded to see her nasty ass walk away. Maybe the fire would have inadvertently made the scenes have light and spoiled their dark masterpiece.

What a waste! Most of the episode were just rehashed old scenes (especially seeing Kanan pop in Tariq's head). It was just a setup for the spinoff. Ugh! So this was the sad ending of Ghost? I felt no closure with this. The only character I felt sorry for was Yaz! To be surrounded by a bunch of cold, sociopathic assholes! Tasha's mom is pissed for only one year rent. Now she has no problem with Ghost's "drug money". What was the timeline for all these events? Everything just happened so fast and conveniently? When was Ghost's funeral? Who is running Truth (as the owner is dead)? Will Truth be around for Simon to potentially take over in 4 years? Tariq had a chance to step up and confess to Blanca as she was handcuffing his mother. Nope! He just weakly arm tussled with the FBI agent waiting for her to tell the truth. Good for Q for not really trusting Tasha and put himself on camera as an alibi. But he is still stupid to get involved with this wicked woman from the start. Tasha was real dunb to keep telling the police Dre's name and then all of a sudden she tips the cops on Q. Good Grief! The night before she is in bed wih Q, he gets arrested, and hours later she's the good mom, with all smiles, dressed in white with red underwear, making bacon, fresh biscuits and eggs, and happy for Tariq's first day at school. She is mental. Does Yaz live with them? Why is Tasha seeing Shawn in the rear view mirror? When was the last time she or the show ever mentioned his name? Maybe sitting in the back seat of the SUV reminded her of the time she stripped for him. Why would John get Saxe's job back? Isn't Saxe up on charges? We never seen their relationship at all since he was let go. Saxe spent more time with Tameika than him. Did John offer to get Tameika's job back too? Tariq sends the lawyer out to get water and she justs goes (like a fool)? How far was it to get water? Did she go to New Jersey? Who tipped the police that the teacher had drugs in the his car? Why is the security guard questioning Tariq? Ghost couldn't put in more stipulations such as Tariq stop being an asshole and he gets the inhertance when he turns the age 40, to go with the GPA and graduation? Wouldn't Ghost be wise enough to know Tariq might cheat his way through college? Those are too easy for him to achieve. So Tariq setup Tommy for Vincent to find him. Too bad Vincent is not alive to tell Tommy. Now they changed to Ghost saying "let him go". I still find it hard to believe Tommy just left town after seeing Tariq at Truth and not try to talk to him or Tasha the next day. Simon is now 2 for 2 with his racist BS! If there is justice, Tariq gets a 3.0 GPA. I hope these writers realize Tariq can't carry a show. He is not likeable as Ghost was in earlier seasons and all his scenes are cringy. They put him on the wrong path with the viewers. I get the feeling they maybe doing a lot of retconning with his character or they may just kill him off. The people on "Three's Company" never acted like Cruz and Foster. After Foster let her "date" go and went back to her room, Cruz leaped out of the couch pretty fast with a grin.
