  1. Might not be the same Watcher…
  2. Uatu's multiversal watchtower even looked like the crystalline walls Superboy Prime punched!
  3. I wondered this, too! I managed to fanwank that they had run out to put the sleeping baby in the car moments before, then got in line to say their goodbyes. Not perfect, but it helped me sleep.
  4. They showed Thanos standing behind the force field o' hexagons that is a hallmark of Wakandan tech, the same force field used in Infinity War. So that's why I assumed he was in Wakanda.
  5. Because then there would have been a Mind Stone laying on the ground for Thanos to pick up. They needed to eradicate the thing.
  6. Would have made so much more sense (and still served the story’s needs) if her phone just picked up the sounds of the fight, with voices, and the only clear word was “hope.” As in: Hank and Nat fight, Nat says something like, “You’re doing this for Hope!” But all Fury can make out is “hope.”
  7. Yes! Thank you! Every time something remotely interesting starts to happen, that damn music swells and overwhelms everything. Drives me crazy!
  8. I saw on Twitter that Brendan Hunt said they wrote this season imagining that, like Season 1, the first three episodes would be released at once. So it makes sense that we'd have this sense of "Oh, yeah, now it's working!" at the end of episode 3, since they clearly meant these three to set up the season.
  9. Forgive me if I’m being dense here, but why does everyone assume Ted didn’t tell the team he was bringing Jamie back? The reactions I saw on the pitch at the end seemed to be more dismay and reluctant resignation as opposed to outright shock. It seemed obvious to me (until I came here!) that everyone was given a heads-up and while not happy about it, no one is caught off-guard. What’d I miss???
  10. George Wendt! He’s also Jason’s godfather. And great catch — I totally missed that!
  11. Did he know it was Wanda he was going to face, though? My recollection is that someone shouts out "There's a breach!" and then SWORD rolls on the force field. It's not until they're already there that Wanda emerges. For all they knew, it could have been another Wanda-toss of a cast member.
  12. IANAL, but I believe interstellar law decrees that once you wipe out a ship’s crew, it’s yours for the taking. So Mando could be jumping into hyper space with Gideon’s light cruiser.
  13. And I have Returned.
  14. Grow-grew.
  15. Mando didn’t leave the jet pack on the ship. Boba ordered him to remove it during their stalemate, no doubt so he could be sure Mando wouldn’t try to escape. And then the Bantha dung hit the fan and Mando didn’t/couldn’t take the time to put it back on.
  16. What I found odd was that he specifically talked about how cold and dangerous it would be at night...and then rolled over and went to sleep! Why not tough it out through the night, move around to stay warm, then sleep when it's safer during the day and you might not wake up frozen to death?
  17. Pretty sure he said 8 billion, meaning the population of earth, which he saved from nuclear annihilation and therefore, in true Adrian fashion, thinks of as his children. Loved this ep. Even Jon’s memory glitch (he left Janey Slater’s watch in the Intrinsic Field Chamber, not his own) couldn’t wreck it for this continuity nerd. 🙂
  18. Excellent point. Maybe they're going to "overwrite" it, like replacing data on a disc? I dunno. I earned my degree in comic book science a long time ago. 🙂
  19. I wonder if the idea is to restore Jon's intrinsic field (thus making him human again?), perhaps by transferring Keene's or some such lunacy? I agree that they have mis-stated the original text, but I'm hoping it's intentional and will have story implications, not a goof.
  20. If anyone is interested, the title for this episode comes from Hollis Mason's book in the back matter of the original comics. I just thought that was cool. (Oh, and next week's comes from Dr. Manhattan's narration of his Vietnam War experience.)
