You would think the father of Ashley's baby-to-be could take a couple hours off work to be present at the birth. What if she goes into labor on Sunday or in the middle of the night. Will it still be Whitney or maybe this mysterious father could help out. Makes me think there really is no father around.

I don't know what the arrangement actually is but someone -- TLC or Dr. Now is paying. Otherwise how can they just move to Houston, rent an apartment, etc, not to mention the cost of all the hospitalization and therapy he orders - which I doubt is covered by their insurance.

How is it that these women on this show always have boyfriends or husbands? Who are these men with these women that are basically incapable of living a normal life. No travel, no movies, no restaurants, no friends, no parties, probably no sex, books or newspapers, nothing. Yet these men supposedly love these women.

I have been trying to decide what has been bugging me about this show (among other things) and it is all these "friends". Maybe I am unusual but when I was in my 30s I did not have numbers of friends hanging around in my living room. Most were married, working, and otherwise living their lives without spending hours with me. I recall that Ruby show who also had these omnipresent friends always at her beck and call. I think it is tres strange how these Whitney "friends" are always around and seemingly eager to spend time with her. Even the pregnant friend seems to be around all the time.
