  1. + 1000 to the whole post.
  2. ROFL! Good to hear. I guess it's time for me to leave the chat. My neurones are in urgent need of a break. LOL
  3. I hope it all will go well for you. Take care of yourself and get well soon.
  4. We can hope together if you want, because man as Jensen said once, I'd love to see a conversation with John about how he raised them. A confrontation between both of them now that Dean's a grown man and not an impresossionable and heavily influenced young man. But then again, with the current writers and after what they did with Mary I wouldn't trust them with John. It was bad enough as it is.
  5. That was my first thought when I heard Jensen's comment. He respects deeply JDM and John's character. If we go by what he said in the convention that would be a logical conclusion. However as much as I'd like it, I don't see it. It's not beyond the realm of possibility but no very likely IMO. Truth is everyone and their cousing are putting their money on Michael and all seems to indicate that we're headed to Apocalypse 300. I guess we'll know soon enough.
  6. Exactly. And not only opted out. She's been cheating, lying and betraying them, according to Dabb, since forever. And then, when she has the chance to do better she doesn't even try, because she needs time and she's so much more than just a mom. After all she's super duper. But now she can't lose another boy. The one that she met a few weeks ago. Ok then. Super.
  7. I get you, believe me. Since her return Mary's story arc has been an enless nonsense. I prefer not to comment on the actors, but in this case I gotta say that Sam Smith is not helping her case at all. I'm sure she's a great person but she must be visiting the same otolaryngologist than Singer. Add me to the "rolling eyes" club.
  8. I think that the best I can say about her statement/caption is "no comment". Getting a second shot at being a mom is now deep. Sure.
  9. After last night episode, unfortunately I think that you're right. We'll probably "enjoy" another cup of Sam vs Lucifer.
  10. 100% agree.
  11. Respect and consideration are nice too.
  12. Lol. If you want to be kind (sometimes) about the writers, you're definitely a better person than me. Anyway no I don't think this is a conspiracy against Mark, and to be honest I hadn't considered that Speight directed the episode and whatever may or not happen in the cons. But I stand by my opinnion that is not a not so happy coincidence either. Whose idea it was, or how it worked to end up on our screens I admit that I have no clue.
  13. Bad enough as it is. It think they were going for the let's be prudent. but the slap is right there.
  14. yes, you're right. It's exactly the opposite. But I don't believe in coincidences. Sorry, too close. I think it's their response to Mark's public comments about all that happened bts. Clearly the didn't like the critics.
  15. This so much. I didn't want to bring it up because what's the point. Enough bitter comments around that go nowhere, but it certainly bothered me. It was so lame and petty, along with Speight (and his view of the show) and one more episode of eternal monologues explaining the senselessness of it all, both brothers once more standing in the background to secondary characters and in the end all must be considered good and great because they had a two minutes scene with the "feelings" dialogue. I guess that's what it all has been reduced to: a few moments here and there. Sighs.
  16. Lol. The image was scary, I'll give you that. As for Mary, the plotting idea from that perspective could has been interesting. Key word being "could has been". I could have been Marilyn Monroe, yet here I am.
  17. I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on both counts. I hated the Mary resurrection from the start (mainly because I had clear that it couldn't work out. Come on middle age men brooding about mom is not exactly appealing) and Rick Springfield is not my cup of tea, not to mention the idea of Lucifer back again is so over done that by now is laugheable.
  18. Last season was so bad that I don't even want to think about it.
  19. Well if that's the goal it remains to be seen, and even if that happens, good luck with that. Jensen worked his ass off to develop the character and has the acting skills for it and back then we had good enough writer to work out good stories. Now the writers are not up to par in my opinion and I think that Jared is more focused in how many days he may spend off set. So a complete turn around of it all could prove to be hard to pull off.
  20. Yes I've noticed that kind of comments on his part. I don't llike them, but I think that all the cons and even interview comments are still part of the job. I know that many people think that they're pouring their hearts in it. I wouldn't put my money on it though. Sure they're more relaxed in that enviroment. They have better chances to talk for themselves but it's still work. So what I mean is that I don't necessarily agree or disagree with you. I honestly don't have a clue. After all everything about Gabriel and even Speights has been a little dubious. Gabriel was a dick who showed up in a couple of episodes and then, all of a sudden, he's everywhere. In the cons he's the ringsmaster, he's directing episodes right and left (and let's be honest he's imposing that view in them too), and now he returns from the dead as an acclaimed and loved character. How the hell did that happen. Maybe the sneaky way is working great. But then again, your guess is as good as mine.
  21. I honestly don't think that is anything against Jensen. Not here, not in the show. I think that Jensen is liked and well respected. IMO. What I think is that this is more like riding the winning wave. In Singer's view the show is about Sam the heroic victim of an injustice, and Dean is merely the sidekick. After all, that was Kripke's original idea. He's keeping the show and the characters stuck in this basic level. Kripke saw the potential was not in the MOTW episodes as he originally intended, but in the brothers relationship, and was smat enough to change the course of the show. Singer on the other hand, always IMHO, has an old school boy view of it all. He's a business man. Budget is his concern. And I think that the way he thinks is that it originally worked that way. It's not broken, don't fix it. It's that kind of mentality, hence the endless cycle on rinse and repeat. This is not only Dabb's reign. I think that Singer is the one imposing the limits. Speights is not stupid. He knows who is the winner horse here. And that's his bet. The hero of the show is Sam. That's exactly the one I love and the one I've a deep bond with. Simple.
  22. I'm sorry to say that is this kind of comments that cement my not so good opinion about Speights. YMMV
  23. Exactly this. Everybody is so focused in making clear that she's so much more than a mom and is super duper at everything and blah blah blah but the truth is that prior to her miraculous resurrection the only thing that we knew about her (other than the way she died) is that she'd never wanted any part of the hunting life. The night her parents died she was running away with her boyfriend trying to scape from it. She wanted that family apple pie life that now is a sin to her. All this story has been a huge retcon (and one badly done in my opinion) from the start at every level, and none of it makes any sense at all. They destroyed one of the main and basic characters of the story, as you've mentioned before, they have soured the enjoyment of rewatching so many great episodes, and all that for what. They've done nothing with it. Yes, I agree with you and really hope that she choses to stay behind and Dean slams the door shut behind her but for good.
  24. The longer the story goes, and the more complicated it is, the more flagrant the discrepancies become, IMO. Don't expect any further development out of it.
