  1. I wanted VK to take some of Kitty's advice, "don't do s*** you can't do." Her fouettes were not great. Compare them to Melissa Wallace's. She fell out of her pirouette at the first day of auditions. I haven't officially danced in years and still can do a double without falling out of it. She looks much better than last year but needs some serious technique coaching. She should have watered down the tricks so she had complete control and could do them well. Kristin wowed me on the field. I liked her last year and was sad when she was cut but could see why. She looks more alive and entertaining now.
  2. Mine too. When I sheepishly mention it to friends many of them are covert dcc mtt fans as well. I'm reserving judgment on the legacies until I see more.
  3. They cut Keyra but kept Christina?
  4. As usual I love Judy's dress. She kills it every year.
  5. #9 is really cute. If her dancing is on par I hope she makes it. ETA. Not trying to say the other girl isn't cute. #9 already has the look. Imo.
  6. That was me last year. This year I'm more relaxed. I guess I didn't get as attached to this year's rookies as I have in the past. I hope that changes this year.
  7. Every year when Kelli says "this is the most talented group of rookies ever" I kind of roll my eyes. This year I'll believe it. With some obvious exceptions, the rookies look better than the bets. At least based on what I've seen.
  8. I might still be bitter over her cut last year. I'm rooting for her.
  9. So after the team was announced Alexandra, Milan and Kalyssa left the team. I bet they wish they had kept Taryn and Brennan. I still don't understand either one of those cuts.
  10. I miss Rainier. I never thought a makeover he and his team did looked bad. Ever since he left some of the makeovers are just terrible. With all the departures I bet they wished they would have kept Brennan and Taryn. I thought overall that this rookie class was kind of weak (with obvious exceptions) and now they are going to be the vets. Having 2 more vets able to audition next year would have been great for the team. Hindsight and all that. Good news for Christina though, she might make it back for a second year given all the departures and the need for vets to keep the team stable.
  11. Lol. I'm sure she wasn't actually crying for that reason (she does seem like a sweet person) but let's be honest - they are all probably thinking it. The girls aren't stupid they know how to count and they also know that the more people K&J cut the closer they are to making the team. While they might be sad if a "friend" gets cut they know it has to happen and better someone else than them. Right? At the end of the day they want to make the team.
  12. Taryn looked kind of pissed and I don't blame her. It seems that they kept Savannah because they like her hair and she's a "package deal" with Tara. I have no idea why they kept Christina. To quote Kitty in a past season, "Her uncle or someone bought the floor because I just don't see it." She may be a nice girl but she should not have made the team over Taryn and Brennan. (The evil part of me wonders if Christina was crying when she was hugging Taryn because she guessed that Taryn's cut meant that she/Christina would likely make the team). I'll go sit in the corner now.
  13. Last year before they announced the team someone posted a video of show group doing a performance. It had rookies in it as well even though they had not yet announced the team. Let's be honest, if you make show group as a rookie you are 99% guaranteed to be making the final team.
  14. So far most of the rookies are not looking that good. I still can't believe they cut Brennan over Christina and Savannah. So far Taryn looks better then they do as well. smh. Keyra was adorable when she left the office and met her teammates. I love her.
  15. I agree. Jenna will be fine. She has learned a huge life lesson here and she can use this experience to help her mature. We've all screwed up at some point and managed to move past it having learned a hard life lesson. She will be okay.
  16. My 2 cents on the Jenna situation: I thought the question she asked was inappropriate. My husband saw this part of the show and disagreed. He thought it was completely reasonable for her to ask them where she stood with the team. I think the huge problem I had with it was the wording she used: "Is point being taken from me" vs. "with the re-blocking am I still at point or in a new position?" or something to that effect. The wording she used makes it sound like she is a 16 year old kid asking her parents when she is going to get 'her' new mustang back. It was only a speeding ticket after all; not that big of a deal. Different wording would make it sound like she just wanted to confirm where she was so she could hit her positions while she danced. I personally don't know what she intended as she said she wished she had worded it differently. I don't think Shelly is a snitch for forwarding the text to K&J. It was the appropriate thing to do. The decision regarding Jenna's punishment/point of the triangle is in their wheelhouse and they needed to be the ones to make the decision and/or answer. I would have probably done the same thing. "Hey K&J I got this text from Jenna. Let me know if you want me to help any further with this issue." If I were K&J I would want the exact wording of the text so I could see what was asked and answer appropriately. Nothing shady about Shelly's actions there. Happens all the time with emails, etc. in the workplace if an employee asks a question to a supervisor that is above the supervisor's pay grade. At the end of the day, your supervisor is still a supervisor even if you consider them a friend. Regardless, Jenna is the one who made this all possible with breaking her contract. She put K&J and Shelly in this position by her actions. I'm sure she has learned a huge life lesson it just stinks for her that it is being aired on national tv.
  17. I'm surprised to say that Tasha is really growing on me this season. I have been a big critic of hers, but her maturity is really showing this season and I think she is an asset to the team. I may have been wrong about her before. The softer lipstick really suits her as well. I might even be #teamTasha. Still loving Kelsey. She's so pretty and seem so fun to be around. She seems well liked by her teammates. The HOF segment was awesome. The vets looked amazing and I liked seeing Kelli praise them for that. I hope they have a big vet class with 3+ years so they can train next years rookies. I live in AZ. It can get 120 here. But it's a dry heat so it's bearable. I'll take 120 in dry heat over 100 in humidity any day. I'm still baffled as to why Christina is still there. Completely stumped. I'm old, haven't danced in years and am larger than I was when I was in my 20's, but can still sit in the splits (I actually just did to prove to myself that I could do it). Sometimes the flexibility just isn't there and won't come. I'm glad they showed Keyra her facials. I've liked her form week 1 of TC and her facials are all she really needs to fix.
  18. This is true for me at least. I have to admit that I don't really like country music and never had a reason to watch anything on CMT. During my 1L year of law school my roommate watched MTT (season 2) and got me hooked on it. I've watched it ever since. Now I also watch some other shows on CMT (I'm still not a huge fan of country music though, grab your pitchforks if you must). I think overall this years rookies are weak, especially Christina and Savannah. Melissa, Jenn K and the other powerhouses who retired left a big gap that needed to be filled at auditions. Then the Holly/Erica debacle happened and they lost 2 more powerhouse performers. I hope some of the current vets stay longer so they can train a new crop of performers. It is a rebuilding year for sure.
  19. I wonder if Kelli and Judy are thinking the same thing about now.
  20. I want to throw something over Brennan's cut. Savannah can't manage to walk in a straight line with the other rookies and isn't fun to watch but gets a warning. I think Brennan's facials were so scared, etc. because she was scared she was going to get cut during all of training camp. I think it would have improved if she made the team as she wouldn't have that sword hanging over her head. Christina gets winded, has excuses for everything, can't walk in a straight line with the other rookies and isn't cut. smh. I have enjoyed watching Brennan more this season than Christina, Savannah or Alexandria.
  21. I have to admit that I did not like Tasha last year and I have been kind of harsh on her this year. While she is still not my favorite I do see a different side of her this episode. After all the Holly/Jenna drama her life experience can help ground the team and calm down the rookies. If I were a rookie I would be scared after all the Holly/Jenna drama. I love Heather and Stephanie, they did great with the show group performance.
  22. So Holly resigned and Kelli just admitted that this will probable help another make the team. "we accepted her letter of resignation"
  23. I wasn't a fan of Kalyssa in the beginning but she has grown on me and I am now I love her! I also love Keyra.
  24. Am I the only one who thinks Christina will be a one-and-done girl? She bugged me again this episode with her excuses for being winded. From what we've seen so far I can't believe they cut Brennan and kept Christina. Christina should be thanking her lucky stars that Holly and Erica quit/were cut or I don't think she would have made the team. Jenna was in a tough position. She had to rat out her friend to keep her job or lost her job to keep her friend. While I don't think Jenna was innocent in this it was still a tough position to be in. I'm sure she learned a lot from this as this probably won't be the last time she is in this position. Holly has only herself to blame and I don't think for a second that she is sorry for what she did. She flat out lied, then tried to backtrack and ultimately didn't seem remorseful at all. Her comment in the locker room "it was fun" spoke volumes. If she had taken her chastisement and been truly remorseful I could see her redeeming herself (like Whitney who seemed truly remorseful). Her attitude shows she is very entitled and thinks the rules really don't apply to her. Some people would take this as a learning experience and she seems to have taken it like a petulant toddler would have. There are other talented dancers out there who don't have her attitude; guess who directors are going to hire?
