The writers really botched it by having Kim not only keep his illness a secret from Oscar but apparently left him untreated until now. WTF is that about? It's negligence, to say the least.

Oscar's soap opera illness doesn't cause him to feel bad, either.  If he were suffering from symptoms, he might be more interested in the drug trial.  You'd think such a serious illness would make it impossible to work or walk around town complaining about everything but headaches and the like.

Another thing that is annoying is the pressure on Alexis to drop his case, as if there are no other lawyers and his case depends entirely on Alexis taking it.  Both sides sitting down with lawyers could help - them having one while Oscar doesn't would just make him feel ambushed and harden his stubbornness.

  2. Just watched the whole series over the last few months.  I agree there was no reason to kill any of these young characters.  Grams must have conquered her cancer since she was still around 5 years later.  Jen's parents were not portrayed as even being there. And Audrey had been a pretty good friend of Jen, so it didn't make any sense she was left out.

And they have Joey doing that narrative at the beginning of the last episodes as if it was "Joey's Creek."   Why did they make her the main focus?  She was not such a likable character.  Good luck, Pacey, she bails as soon as something is not perfect.  I just don't believe that happy ending.  There is no way Joey is going to stay in any relationship.  I had figured Dawson would get stuck with her.  She broke up with him 3 times, never for any really good reason.  The last time she did it, it was because she was spying on his phone.  He was supposed to be a monk at any time she had not decided to grace him with her wonderful self.

I recall a dream scene where Dawson had her engaged to an environmental attorney.  Dawson of all people should realize she would never actually marry this attorney.  Something had to be imperfect.  Same with poor old "Chris."  Oh and she dated some guy the summer Dawson was supposed to have no one because she decided not to talk to him.

The writers were terrible at coming up with break up stories.  They had the couples break up for such stupid reasons and they made the originator of the break up look entirely stupid.

Like most TV shows, it is good at first.  Then you sort of slog through the end, just wanting to know what happens in the end.

then I suggest you never go into show business because almost EVERYONE smokes lol! I used to see the actors outside the OLTL studio in NY, and even those I would have sworn weren't smokers, were out there lighting up during breaks.

I wonder could they use a breath mint or something like that for those who don't like it.  I guess the guys who played Tony and AJ smoke too and so didn't mind.   Seems it must be that Sam does not smoke.  LOL.  It is so known to be unhealthy it has gone out of favor - and actors would not want any of the aging effects.  Yet it might help them stay thin.

That's because Steve didn't want to have Jason and SheBeast in a romantic relationship. I think mostly due to the fact original SheBeast smoked. Plus he had a crush on Kimberly/Robin.

Yep. And they even had Jason tell her that sex just makes them fight, the one time she tried to sex him up, while he was sleeping; stroking his bare chest, (shudder)

There are so many stories like this about various male actors on this show.  I thought the show must go on, and you just deal with it.  So she smokes, you only have to kiss her now and then and there was a rule of no french kissing.  Whatever.  Can't he just do what he has to do?  Not the most professional with this type of demand.  That being said, if the she-beast got Jason, she'd be truly insufferable.

  5. That is a good point about Martha.  She had opportunities to die since then, heh!

March 7 episode is a nice break - no Robbo, no Willow, no Ash or any of that story.

The new young people are therefore nice to see, a bit by default.

Ava? Your boyfriend is a doctor but he puts his patients’ needs ahead of yours? OMG. How horrible of him! He went to look after your drunk on her ass daughter and you were so hurt that he stood you up on Valentine’s Day? How middle school of you. What the hell is wrong with this woman? I stopped watching GH for years so I’m confused on many levels but I have two questions. Why do most of the women wear that harsh black eye makeup? Why do their eyes shine and glisten like they’ve been crying even when they haven’t? Is it the weird lighting? Oh, one more. Why is everything (sets, clothing, everything) so damn dark?

I was wondering why he did not at least call her, which would have been easy to do.  Standing someone up is rude IMO.  Is it now taken to be completely OK and in fact you are insecure if you object?  Even in the days before cell phones, it would seem at least best to call the other person and let them know rather than leave them hanging.  They could do something else with their evening, Valentine's Day or not.   It seems like normally Griffin would have called or texted her, so the whole drama over it seems made up.

  7. They've always got to overdo the blame game.  They couldn't give Maxie lines that were just a little more truthful?  Like that Lulu had something to do with it.  Calling her a murderer is ridiculous.  Also insulting to Nathan that he had no agency and is helpless to make his own decisions.  And as if Faison is not responsible at all.  It just takes away from the sympathy that I should have for Maxie.

Then lashing out at Spinelli over a mere expression of sympathy - just not necessary.

I agree with you guys that Kristen Storms did a great job with her lines, but I am so sick of the trope about the hysterical wife getting in everyone's face and doing more than anyone else to compromise her husband's care by holding everyone up. "Get him to the OR! Why isn't he stable! Why isn't he stable, you assholes???? Rush him up to surgery! Oh, here he is...wait, don't rush him to surgery! I need to tell his unconscious ass something vital!!!"

I realize that might be "realistic" in that people deal with a crisis in any number of ways, but I think it's more likely for a wife to go dead calm and focus on the details as a coping mechanism.

Spot on.  Soap characters often respond like that, and it's annoying.  Who would do that?  Only a narcissist.

Maxie wearing that pink coat with Nathan's blood on it sadly reminded me of Jackie Kennedy wearing her pink suit with JFK's blood all over it.

    I thought of that too!

So will Nathan die but Faison will survive so that he can live to steal Maxie's baby another future day?

Jordan is completely out of her depth, I'm sorry. Shouldn't the FBI be notified when someone of Faison's criminal caliber is rumored to be--and proves to be--in PC? If Nathan hadn't been shot, by failing to notify the PCPD he should have been suspended or warned at least for keeping this fact private.

The fact that Jordan tolerates Sonny and his organization (and the other crime families) to operate with impunity in town shows how weak she and law enforcement are. And furthermore, violence happens so regularly at the Metro that the management  should be warned by peers or some regulating body that any ratings are being lowered to warn the public as potential guests. The Metro needs to adopt stricter standards and house rules, but with the owners being wives or baby mamas/girlfriends of mob-connected men, improvement is not likely.

Imagine the online reviews of the Metro Court!  Saw someone get shot there, never going back again.

  9. Maybe they won't break up Aaron and David since they were saying they moved ahead too fast.  They can try again slower.

Wow, I remember when Nell was born and they have kept the same child as her, so if she is old enough to be going to school, all that time really passed quickly!

I think GH has the world record. Jed Allan, playing Edward Quartermaine, was one month younger than Stuart Damon who played Alan.

    Oh my, that is hilarious!

Did Genie quit or is this one of her breaks? This hasty re-write to get her off the canvas makes no sense. Poor Jon Lindstrom barely gets anything to do as it is, why leave him in Port Charles and not have Kevin go to Spencer with Laura to support his new wife?

That was jarring; all that build up and suddenly she can't run.

I was just wondering about his age too. And Roger Howarth is 49. It is really strange to have Franco and Jim talking about when Jim knew Franco when he was a little kid. Greg looks terrific and Roger definitely looks his age. JMO.

16 years is a good soap parent/child age gap.  SORAS causes it.  The world record was 5 years on B&B where Jack Wagner's character's mother was played by Leslie (Can't think of last name) who was only 5 years old than he.

I thought it was disgusting, as per usual, that Ava for all she knew could have died under the knife, and Sonny STILL wouldn't let her see Avery pre-surgery. Yes, it was elective surgery, but still.

One thing I don't like about soaps - they promote the idea that you can cut the other parent out of the child's life.   Even though this is a dream, Sonny has talked like that before.

  13. Willow is smiling a lot now, and it makes me notice how her smiles bares all her teeth.  So Justin gets more involved by sleeping with her.  So when he asked her what it meant, she threw him out?  Not sure if she is offended he would assume as the female she would want to do that, or offended that he wanted to do that.

So the Robbo story goes on and on.

  14. It's such a soap thing to not want your loved ones to sustain the penalties for their crimes.  Do real people every think like that?  You love your kid so much you confess to their crime so they don't have to go to jail, which you are willing to do?  Not sure that is even good for the kid, let alone society.  And Mark is a cop.  And Tyler probably is not guilty anyway.  Why not check into that? They've gotten all the mileage they could out of Hamish's death, and it was probably Louise.

More baby story with Toadie and Sonya.  They have Nell, so the infertility must not be that bad.  Maybe it arose after Nell?

Yes, Gabe is real big now!  And how could they get the actor to crawl unless he is old enough to understand things?  Or even do them.  I have a great nephew now who is two and a half and he could understand you but like most kids, would not do any of his new skills if you asked him to.  Actor babies must be special in that they will do it if asked!
