  1. There is a novel called "A Canticle for Leibowitz" about preserving knowledge. Books. I fear so much of what could be destroyed. "A Canticle for Leibowitz" by Walter M. Miller Jr. This post-apocalyptic science fiction novel follows monks who preserve scientific knowledge.
  2. Interesting. I like my Instant Pot, but this is more slow cooker? I like anything that makes cooking easier.
  3. For those not in the US, what is it like to have a reasonable tax system? I use tax software, and I swear I feel more invaded than when I had my colonoscopy. Your wages. How many in your home. Okay. What did you already pay, fine. Now, more detail. Have you ever had an alien burst from your abdomen. Um no. How much did you earn at your street corner. What? We know you have been gambling (I don't) so give us that money too. Do you know Jeff Goldblum. Not personally, no. Do I need to worry?
  4. You used the right phrase of treasonous creeps. How do we oust them.
  5. Women are too emotional to lead./s So we get these toddler acting men. Women power through so much, and the whole "not all men" crap. We shouldn't have to always have men in power. I wanted Kamala so bad, and now I'm dealing with some of the stupidest men and women I could imagine.
  6. Weeping angels. Don't blink.
  7. Yup, beating that dead horse.
  8. I want to thank the US for my hospital stay that will cost me a lot, and I still have stuff coming out my backside better than trump.
  9. Didn't you know, he always wins.
  10. At this point, I don't disbelieve any atrocities the US is doing.
  11. I've asked myself, what drives a man like Trump? He's not handsome and dumb as a box of rocks. Rich dad who doesn't love him. Everything handed to him, but not with the elite. What could go wrong?
  12. This is a man who has never done a thing to take care of himself in his whole life. How to do laundry, or cook a meal. I'd be surprised if someone told me he could wipe himself.
  13. Hmmm, wasn't there a book by George Orwell? Let's just rename what it is.
  14. I remember these when I lived there. I have a juvenile sense of humor for when they flew over.
  15. Have we mentioned natural gas yet?
  16. They own the farms now.
  17. I feel like "The Road to Serfdom" is a good read for some people. We're well on that road, and I don't know how to stop it. Are you serious here? I could not put up a flag or have a bumper sticker on my car without it causing some kind of damage because of "peaceful" people.
  18. My friend is trying to get me out more. I think she is rethinking this as I hit on too many guys. The one I actually liked was with a woman giving me eye daggers. She's not a wife, but I think is a wannabe. If looks could kill though, I'd be buried in a shallow grave with her slamming the dirt with a shovel.
  19. Dang it, I fell for it. I do love the song though.
  20. Better said than done, but it did seem out of character.
  21. This child, you know she would be to blame. I liked seeing Cyril again. I'm not sure how he and Lucille can go on. I loved seeing Reggie and how he's getting on.
  22. I hope we can get rid of a few, ahem, people in coming elections.
  23. I use my Instant Pot for rice. Perfect every time. My favorite is Basmati. The weather here can be warm one day, and snowing the next.
  24. This is very true. In bigger cities you don't make eye contact. There are smaller areas that are very territorial. I'm now in a mid-sized city where it is very friendly.
  25. We have cooties.
