I enjoyed this episode. Not sure how I feel about Zeta Jones character. One minute she acts like she's disgusted by Martin and the next she's humping the man. I love how we were misled with Blaze being the killer. I feared for her for a moment. Glad Dr. Tanaka found someone, but I'm sure she would drop him in hot a second if she a had a chance with Malcolm. 😆 I like Gil and Jessica moment together in the garage. That was sweet. I really like Dani and Malcolm together. She really cares about him, but I held my breath hoping he was not going confess to her. That will not end well for him or his family. Glad Ainsley wasn't in this episode. Im sick of her.

S04.E05: The Book of Ruin: Chapter One: Picking Up the Pieces
LadyOracle replied to Trini's topic in Black Lightning
I was not expecting that ending. The only character that truly had me convinced they missed Jen and was in pain was Anissa. She looked heartbroken and frighten with the possibility of losing her. Close second was TC. Lynn and Jefferson wasn't convincing, maybe because of the fighting and bickering. But I don't like how much of asshole Anissa is towards Grace. Where the hell is Khalil??! -
I know! That was so irritating how they just brushed over that like it didnt matter.

Yep! It aired today. I tried my best to avoid it, but I mistakenly caught the part where Dean met Sam on the bridge. 😒
-
In episode 15.14 Last Holiday with Mrs. Butters, I realized they teased us with Dean's death. When they did the montage of the guys getting lunch bags from Ms. Butters and going on hunts. They showed the guys entering that barn twice. The finale episode came on TNT today and I couldn't watch it. I dont care what anyone says, that wasn't the end Sam and definitely Dean didn't deserved. To me, the writers simply were saying Dean was only good on earth for drinking beer and killing monsters. They should have left it open ended with them driving off into the sunset with Baby.

I didn't know there was a wrong or right answer. Lol. Yes, in the season 2 premiere episode it seemed Dani may have been a little tough on Malcolm and Gil. But guess what? Malcolm absolutely deserves it, because its so apparent that he's giving in to murderous beast inside - he playfully gambled with letting the killer drop off the ledge - he playfully threatened to cut the other killer with a saw and then he had a smile on his face when cutting up Endicott body. Malcolm doesn't need a woman with hearts in her eyes all the time like Dr. Tanaka. He needs someone who will speak up and call him out on his crap like Dani. Plus... he shown numerous times that he actually likes her
-
Definitely Dani, especially since Malcolm likes her. Excited about season 2 premiere tonight!

Yes!!! That's exactly what I thought about. Six Feet Under was the most hauntingly sad series finale ever. HTGAWM didnt quite reach that level, but almost. Lol It was pretty sad.
-
Yeah that was a little confusing. But Christophe said something about his mentor. So I assumed Annalise was in his and Laurels life, as his mentor. And her spirit was in the room.

It was good episode. Glad we finally put to rest who was the girl in the box and our suspicions regarding Eve. I was relieved when everything was revealed regarding Eve, because I thought that meant we longer would have to see her. But no, she's here to stay - at least until the next episode. Malcolm should know a relationship built off murder, lies and secrets will absolutely not work! Case of the week was decent. What bothered me was that Dani told Bright to go protect The Influencer Mom and baby from the killer and she would sit and watch over the other woman. Um....I thought Dani was the cop and Bright was just the profiler, who's never armed. That scene shouldve been re-written. I know it was considered a joke, but it was not funny for JT to tell Bright that he hope his baby doesn't turn out like him. It was was poor joke with very poor timing. Dr. Tanaka was funny as usual. Loved how she covered Brights body with her own even though her save was so many seconds too late. Lol Cant blame a girl though.

Another good episode. I loved the song they played in Martin's "dream." I thought this episode was solely going to focus on Martin possibly dying. I'm glad they didn't, because I love case of the week. Okay, regarding Malcolm and pair-ups, they've been leading us towards a possible Dani/Malcolm romance since episode two, but it has been subtle until the wedding episode. Episode 3: Fear Response is the first episode Dani and Malcolm had alone time in his apartment. She tied him in his shackles and he asked her whether it was the craziest thing she has seen and she said no. I think that meant a lot to him that she didn't make him feel like a freak. Also, I believe this was the episode he said he slept with lots of women, which made me believe he was trying to impress her. Episode 7: The Trip - Malcolm learned more Dani. Her past was pretty dark with her being undercover and almost dying of a drug overdose. Again, she ends up at his apartment because he mistakenly inhaled coke during a shoot out and had to babysit him. He had one of his night terrors and she knocked the hell out of him. He slept like a baby until the next morning and he happily thanked her. He jokingly said she should spend the night every night. This was the episode they established they were possibly friends. Episode 13: Wait& Hope - He wanted to tell Dani something before he thought he was going to be blown up by the land mine, but chickened out. When he and Dani went dress shopping he complemented her on how gorgeous she looked in her dress. She told him that it was smartest thing he said all day. Malcolm likes Dani because he's comfortable with her, she's attractive, and she's able to handle his "crazy." Malcolm knows he can't be with a normal adjusted woman, like Eve. Look what happened when he slept with her. He almost killed her! Dani likes him as well, but shes way more reserved about it. Of course there's Dr. Tanaka, but I think he only see her as the woman that has a crush on him. Just my observation.😏

S03.E13: The Book of Markovia: Chapter Four: Grab the Strap
LadyOracle replied to Trini's topic in Black Lightning
Very good episode! I'm so glad the family is all back together again. I thought they were going to leave without Jefferson and Lynn when Gravedigger showed up at the end. Gravedigger is a very good villain. Brandon is going to be highly upset with that ASA guy for pulling him away from killing Dr Jace. Brandon also needs to find a quicker way to execute his power - it seems very slow, but powerful. That fight between Khalil and Gravedigger was good, but had me so uneasy. I kept thinking whenever Khalil was losing, he was going to ask Painkiller for help, but luckily he didn't. So, no Painkiller....for right now. Also, it seems Anissa really is not here for Khalil being alive. She doesn't trust him at all, which I dont blame her because she's worried about her little sister. Im wondering whether there's going to be some kind face off between she and Khalil. Next week it seems we're getting a Pierce Family Dinner! 😁 -
S03.E12: The Book of Markovia: Chapter Three: Motherless Id
LadyOracle replied to Trini's topic in Black Lightning
I really enjoyed this episode. It's good Khalil is finally back, but sad to see him having to struggle emotionally yet again. It's going to be a long road for him. I can see a Khalil/Jen/Brandon love triangle coming from a mile away. I really like TC! I like how much Gambi cares for TC. I think TC is like a new Jefferson for him. lol He found a new adoptive son. -
S03.E11: The Book of Markovia: Chapter Two: Lynn's Addiction
LadyOracle replied to Trini's topic in Black Lightning
It was an okay episode, but gone are the Pierce family dinners I miss seeing. Lynn is a full on drug addict and Jefferson hasn't had at least a quick family meeting about this. She left the house in last week's episode after having a drug manic attack on Jefferson and then what? I'm confused by that. Jefferson tells Brandon to "stay away from my daughter," and proceeded with leaving Brandon alone with Jennifer.😏 Jennifer revealed so much about herself and the family to Brandon. But I guess he's trustworthy. Bill Duke is an excellent actor, but the scene with Jefferson torturing him didn't look quite right. When Jefferson was shooting Odell with those powerful lighting bolts, it look like it barely tickled him. There were no moans or grunts of pain - not even a flinch. I'll be honest, I was waiting for the Jennifer-Khalil reunion the entire episode. I hated how they cut away so quickly to the Lady Eve and Lala scene. I know some fans have been looking forward to seeing her, but she, Lala and people like Grace are so irrelevant compared to the Pierce family, Tobias, and Khalil. I wasn't expecting Jennifer to tie Annissa and Jefferson up when she saw them attacking Khalil. I had to remember that EVERYONE knew about the new Khalil aka Painkiller, but her. I guess in her mind her was the Painkiller Tobias had when he was still human, but conflicted. She was able to get through him. I wonder whether TC and Gambi would be able to fix him, if so, how long. -
I think Lynn gave Tobias the camouflage powers. When she was trying to get out of the ASA facility with the help of Gambi on the phone, she didn't follow instructions and moved prematurely - and she bumped into the ASA officers. Surprisingly, one of the ASA officers said to let her go. I was confused by that because I was thinking the only way those uptight officers would do that would be if it were Gambi posing as an officer, but he was in the van. That officer that let her go was Tobias. Lynn has been really effing up. I still believe they're leading us towards a Lynn/Tobias relationship. I know it sounds awful, but the woman is hooked on drugs. Who would ever thought that would happend??!

S03.E07: The Book of Resistance: Chapter Two: Henderson's Opus
LadyOracle replied to Trini's topic in Black Lightning
Another good episode. First, I most definitely did not like how Jen was playing Brandon. He seems like a good guy and pretty much saved her from exposing her powers to everyone. It seems like Jen has a crush on him, but doesn't know how to handle it, so she try to lure him in with weed or info on Jace - when she didn't have no intel. So not cool, Jen!! Jace killed this boy's mom. My favorite scene in the entire episode was the Jefferson - Henderson argument. Yeah...I know it's wrong for these two to fight. But I like that Henderson is no longer sitting towards the sideline and taking orders. And Henderson had so many valid points. Jefferson wants total transparency, but only on his terms. Jefferson griping at Henderson for keeping a secret about his underground organization, but he's been keeping the biggest secret for the past 30 years. Everything has to be done on Jefferson's terms. Jefferson needs to listen to others right now. Case in point - Tavon. I didn't expect Gambi to reveal the news the way he did. I naively thought it was going to be by family meeting. But forgot the Pierce family are completely disjointed right now. Lynn set on playing a savior and saving Khalil and it's not going to end well at all. And Painkiller is assigned to kill Black Lightning....again. Will he succeed again? Maybe Lightning will be joining the fight in attacking Painkiller. Odell is alive.....yay? 🙄 -
It was a good episode. But the Pierce family members are being completely idiotic. I don't understand why Anissa would like to keep something like she DYING completely private - especially with her having a mom as a scientist. I'm still disappointed with Jefferson demanding Anissa to bring Tavon home. That was such a dumb decision. He was safe. Just let Anissa take the cell phone video to his parents. Jefferson's relationship with Anissa doesn't feel like a father/daughter relationship - it seems more of a brother/sister relationship. There's always this push/pull dynamic with those two. I didn't like how he just let things go and left Anissa's apt. And then there's Lynn - she has got to be the most smart, yet simple minded lady. She's so easily manipulated - first by Odell and now Tobias. I know this is far off course, but I'm so hoping she doesn't start a romantic relationship with Tobias. But it's not too far fetch since she is on drugs. Jennifer is the least problematic for me right now, which is saying alot! I'm not sure why she broke into Brendan's apartment rather than simply asking him. After all, he did said her from revealing herself. I guess her breaking into his apartment added more to the storyline and showed us what his life looked like. I've always been team Jen/Khalil, but I really like Brendan. He seem so...uncomplicated compared. lol But I'll always like Khalil - I'm just waiting for his return, which will be a while. Surprised Odell was killed?

S02.E14: The Book of Secrets: Chapter Four: Original Sin
LadyOracle replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Black Lightning
So glad Black Lightning is back and love La La is back also. He just strolled in the school with gun in hand like it wasn't a big deal. Where was Mr. Lowery - he doesn't work late hours? I'm sure La La will get way more tattoos in the future. I was surprised with the outcome of what happened to Earl. We're finally getting somewhere with the Grace story line. Apparently, she's a shapeshifter that can kick Anissa's ass. I'm sooo glad that Gambi kept Jenn from taking pictures of her suit!! I had a feeling that scene was done for a reason. If she would have taken the picture, their's and Gambi's cover would have been completely blown. But I have a feeling she will do it eventually, because she's an anxious teenager. I still feel very bad for Jenn. She's already talking about love and life like an old wise woman. lol She misses Khalil so much - I'm holding out hope that he will be coming back! -
S02.E11: The Book of Secrets, Chapter One: Prodigal Son
LadyOracle replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Black Lightning
I thought for sure they would have Jenn to do some cool electro shock thing to power Khalil up - but Lynn shot that down. Then I got relieved they were going to move him to a pod - but then Lynn said it was too late. It seemed they didn't try hard enough. That prom scene was heart breaking - such a beautiful couple. I had a feeling Tobias and Cutter had a romantic past. "Good! Now go move that body!" Tobias is the ultimate a-hole. -
I thought the return was really good and didn't disappoint. I was on edge the entire episode. But the entire episode I had a nervous feeling that Khalil was going to die, but couldn't figure how and boy I definitely did not predict Tobias would destroy him in that manner. I really like Khalils character, but loved how Tobias looked like he was in pure ectasy after attacking Khalil. He's a sick twisted man, but a very entertaining villain. It irritated me that Cutter killed ALL those officers with just a knife. Like were those officers blind or they just wanted to die? It also pissed me off that they would stop for an obvious setup to begin with. And why wouldn't Thunder and Lightning follow the caravan to the prison. That entire scene wasn't written properly. I liked Jenn wasn't willing to have sex with Khalil just because the opportunity presented it self. She has grown so much from the girl in the first episode sneaking off to go to the club to hang with the 100 thugs. But I wonder whether Khalil is still a virgin. He was a virgin before the accident. But has he slept with someone(s) since following Tobias? Oh...I can't wait to see Todds evolution. The kid is super eager and got balls to be teasing Cutter. For a smart kid, he's really dumb. 😂

I liked the episode. But they really didn't capture the true essence of Prince when dressed as him as they performed his songs - not any of them. It looked like a spoof, but I guess that's what it suppose to have been. Prince was serious about his craft and if you're going to take the task to play him, don't mess it up. I like Diane's portrayal of him the most and Andre the least. However, my favorite part of the entire episode of when they were sitting on the patio singing Nothing Compares 2U. I thought it was so cute how Jack belted out the first note and everyone followed. That was so touching to me - no costume or awkward dancing needed. I also loved how this episode reminded us how much of trailblazer he was.

I really liked this episode. It gave us incite on Jesse and Tulips past, but I'm still wondering about Cassidy and that french dude. Lol I find it so weird that Tulip is such bad cook. Where she comes up with this crap?? Peanut butter pot roast, vanilla hash brown?? Yuck. I know she's an O'Hare and she didn't have much of a family, but she can do a little better. But I loved what Dany said she can't eat it because its a human being thing....it's disgusting. ? Why couldn't Tulip just tell Jesse that she wanted to wait to have children rather than lying about being on BC? Are they not allowed to have sex in any other position other than missionary? Is that one of Jesse's religious quirks? I'm very suspicious of Cassidy now. He really wanted Jesse to kill Viktor thinking Tulip will run into his arms. It makes me thinks about the episode in the first season where Eugene's dad held him in jail and reading Cassidy rap sheet and one arrest where Cassidy said it was a crime of passion. It seems he can't shake his feelings for Tulip and something bad is going to happen between the three, mainly Jesse and Cassidy.
