  1. Wasn't bowled over by any of them really, but Rami deserved the auff imo. Haven't really connected with much of his all season. Laurence's was of course impecably tailored, but a little boring. Britney's was well, puffer. <yawn> Sorry, but I thought Bishme's looked a bit juvenile and sort of cheap. I'm sure it's the shiny fabric that led me there, as it usually does.

I sort of wish PR would force them to make at least 1/2 of their collection with materials that they aren't typically drawn to, but I know they won't and maybe that's not fair anyway.

I guess I'm most interested to see what Bishme will present, as to me, his aesthetic is the least one-note. We know we'll get highly tailored leather from Laurence, and wide-legged, cropped top streetwear from Britney.

  2. I've had mixed reactions to moving with cats. Some had high anxiety, and others were "what, has something changed?" So long as you carve out time to pay attention to your kit, give her some extra love, she should settle just fine.

As a side note, I would be extra careful with the balcony at first, since she isn't used to such a thing. Perhaps a see-thru barrier in front of the railing at first, until you see how she reacts to it.

ESPN keeps playing a promo for Greeny’s show where he says “if one more person says it’s a privilege to play in the National Football League I’m going to bang my head against a wall”.

Now I want to go troll restaurants in NYC and if I saw him out, I would walk up and say “Greeny, it is an absolute privilege to play in the NFL” just to see  if I get the payoff.

Better yet Greeny, I'll just bang your head against the wall, k?

I know that.  I love Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines and have had it before (many times, in fact.  I think my husband introduced me to it, around the same time I had hummus and falafels for the first time).  I was just wondering if they made a chip flavour or something.  :D

    I understood your question, lol.

  5. @secnarf, I don't know if what I'm going to say is wisdom, but it's my experience and thoughts about what you're dealing with.

My Onyx was defecating outside of her litterbox with relative frequency as a result of her kidney disease (constipated from chronic dehydration, and she blamed the litterbox for her discomfort apparently). Because her stools were tortured, gnarled and dried up nothings, it didn't create much of a cleaning problem, though certainly not ideal. This went on intermittently for 12-18 mos prior to her death, maybe once every 2-3 wks. Fortunately, she didn't pee outside of the litterbox, but I am quite confident in telling you that if she did, DH and I would have had to have a very difficult conversation much sooner than we did. Much as we love our pets, we deserve to not have to deal with the nastiness of incontinence, chronic vomiting, etc., but mostly, mostly, our pets also deserve to not have to deal with these things. As my vet explained many years ago about Jessie, my first CKD kitty, she doesn't want to pee or poop outside of the litterbox. It makes her very unhappy as well. It's not natural for them either; not how it's supposed to be. It was then that the unhappy decision was made to release us both from that sorrow.

I don't say these things to encourage euthenasia, but to somehow let you know that if it comes down to that, it isn't because it is the worst thing that can be done. It often is the best thing.

I wish you the the peace and strength to make the decisions that are best for your little family, whatever they are and whenever they need to be made.

    Hang tough 💪🙏🧡

My peeve of the day, and I apologize to those who like to talk, talk, talk in basically monologues.

My neighbor would call me almost daily and talk my ear off while I was trying to work. If I met her outside my house, I'd be backing away trying to end the conversation and she would follow. You know how you give clues about ending a conversation? It did not work.

Well, now I have another someone who I will just keep saying "yes, I know" to. The money I should be making as a therapist.

My nephew is on the spectrum with Asperger's, and it was explaind that he just doesn't recognize those "social cues". I'm not implying that anyone with the inability to recognize when to cut off conversation is on the spectrum...

    ...or am I?

Apologies in advance to pumpkin spice fans but this is my peeve du jour!

I am peeving because the annual over abundance of commercials and products that are themed thusly has begun.  All over the TV and in the stores and coffee shops - everywhere you turn for the next two  months.

It would be less peevish to me though if I  didn't have a number of family and friends who are fanatics.  The annual onslaught of them linking picture of themselves drinking pumpkin spice lattes, lighting pumpkin spice candles, buying pumpkin spiced god knows what and on and on until they calm down and go into Christmas is coming mode has started.

It's like a pumpkin spice cult.

For the record, I mostly agree, but I love this meme, lol!

I stopped taking it and switched to Advil. I will *never* take Tylenol because it eats your liver as others here have pointed out.

Pick your poison and pick your vital organ.

would you like to ruin your kidneys or your liver while trying to battle pain?-bad-liver-kidneys

Edit - I will take anything further to the Health & Wellness thread.

  9. Again with the boring Rami look (to me), again with bias seaming, in fabric choices that appear cheap. Perhaps they don't photograph well, but isn't that important?

The model looks like he's at a gay Casper The Movie casting call.

And of course, the judges are gushing. <face spraining eyeroll>
