  1. Yes! I have found my people. Folks in general just don't understand my undying love for the Rocky franchise (well, not part V). As a 31 year old woman, I get a lot of strange looks when I expose my Rocky obsession, but dammit, those films are gold! The Rocky character is just hands down, one of the greatest characters in cinema --period. A lot of people don't even realize that Stallone is actually a very smart, articulate man, because they assume that he is Rocky. And I will shove the first film into the face of anyone who thinks Sly lacks talent, and then direct them to the IMDb page so they can see how many awards it won that year. Their chemistry is everything! The relationship is the backbone of the franchise, which is why I don't care to watch Rocky Balboa all that much. It's not that it isn't a good movie, but Adrienne being dead is heartbreaking. That scene with him at the cemetery devastated me.
  2. I watched the crap out of this when I was younger. I never see it on anymore, but I would absolutely watch it right now if I could. Revenge of the Nerds and part 2. Part 2 is horrible, really, but the first film still makes me laugh. Mortal Kombat owns this thread for me. It's only as an adult that I'm able to watch and truly appreciate just how cheesy it is because when I was thirteen? It was the best. film. ever.
  3. I'm glad someone else feels this way. That film is so boring, and Bogart does absolutely nothing for me. Dylan McKay and Kelly Taylor (90210) lead me astray here. This! Nolan's entire vision for Batman/Gotham is such a dull, lifeless affair. Life is tedious enough that when I watch a film about freaking Batman, I want at least a touch of whimsy to remind me that this is entertainment. And word to Bane's ridiculous voice. I'm baffled that Nolan thought rendering the character unintelligible was a good idea.
