Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day In America (Nat Geo)
CAM replied to DanaK's topic in ABC/FX/Hulu/National Geographic
Man, hard to believe it been 30 years already...I was 8 when it happened. Thought this was well done and included some footage that I don't think I had seen before. -
Haven't watched the episode yet but during the behind the scenes special (that aired before the season started) tptb mentioned 3 seasons.
-
Looks like the main plot line for this season will be the "Affair of the Diamond Necklace", will be interesting to see how the show handles it. No, I'm sure that is going to be One of the key figures, instrumental in the above mentioned scandal.

So that was something...with cases like this I always go back to this: the simplest answer is usually the right one. The frame up would require way to many people to keep quiet. Karen said it herself she has no memory of what happened that night. I'm surprised that there wasn't a gag order in place or something (with Karen intentionally leaking info to that social media dude). I also wonder if this special will end up backfiring on the defense. Wonder if there will be a change in venue request for the new trial or media blackout. The snow plow drive...people have a bad habit of not seeing things right in front of them, especially if it is something that they don't expect to see. If it was true the the jury couldn't hear the chanting, then provided they informed the Judge, I'm surprised she didn't do anything about it.

I had the same thought and that's even after seeing the trailer on my cell that's a galaxy 24.
-
Yes; according to IMDB Velvet had 4 seasons and ran from 2013 to 2016.
-
Honestly no idea who would have been better, but just feels like her case is a different level compared to the other scandals that this show covers; at least based on what I've seen/know.

Looking forward to the new season, just wish media would stop giving Anna Delvey the time of day.

Kids Baking Championship - General Discussion
CAM replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Kids Baking Championship
Did anyone catch the Halloween special that aired on Monday? The requirement to use peppers was definitely a risk on the part of TPTB/The hosts. -
Finally got around to watching this. Found it to be very well done and very interesting. Even with my ties to Houston, I hadn't heard about this squad until now.

Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter
CAM replied to CM-BlueButterfly's topic in Investigation Discovery
That thought crossed my mind too. Same goes for the witness that made statements going along with/confirming Nick's version of events. -
Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter

Oh man, my heart breaks for those women. That was hard to watch, I wasn't really into the whole boy band crazy growing up, liked some of the songs, but mostly thought the fan obsession was dumb. I don't even recall hearing about the allegations against Nick until this doc. Talk about a toxic family. Poor Aaron wish he had gotten the help he needed. This doc continued to confirm my belief that social media is the worst thing ever and brings out the worst in people. Same can be said for the modern obsessed celebrity fandom were people refuse to think a celebrity is anything but perfect and pure and can do no wrong. I agree, I don't have high hopes on lawsuits, feels like they have an uphill battle. Yeah this made me wonder what the other sisters knew/suspected about Nick's behavior/actions and if the family was forcing them to keep quiet and they delt with the stress by turning to drugs. (Just my thoughts) I'm am curious to know what other secrets Kaya knows/has on Nick or the family. -
Yeah, agreed. It would have been interesting to hear their thoughts about their scandals after all these years have passed and if they would have handled things differently.
-
Good to hear. I thought the series was well done. Will definitely be interesting to see what scandals are covered next season.

Looks like another Zorro production is in the works: https://variety.com/2024/tv/global/paramount-zorro-series-jean-dujardin-1235946941/ Will be interesting to see if Disney releases their version before this one on Paramount + releases.

Did anyone else call foul on the Lewis & Clark historical headline answer being the Oregon Trail?

She most definitely is. If you have Max, it might be on there. Thought it was well done

Did anyone watch the HGTV Dream Home 2024? Hard to believe that it has been airing since 1997. HGTV Dream Home is where HGTV designs and builds a home in different locations around the US. HGTV Then has a sweepstakes and the winner get the house (and everything in it) and other prizes (like a car). Most of the time the winners either take the cash option or sell the home after the fact (due to taxes). The 2024 home was built on the marshes of Anastasia Island, on the east coast of Florida, near St. Augustine.
