Reid IS a gorgeous man. He is also incredibly smart and educated, well spoken and mild mannered. He is not a freak who collects bones or life-size plastic dolls, so to think that he is unable find a partner is just ridiculous.

YES! So much YES!! It's so annoying, this was episode 12 and yet we haven't heard a word about his mother and oh, what about his PTSD? Nothing. It's like the second half of last season never happened. And yeah, his lectures? Again, nothing. It doesn't have to be a big storyline, just a few words with Prentiss or Rossi or JJ.

Was that ever said or implied by anyone on the show? O_o The only thing I heard about the why and how was when Erica Messer said they came up with the arc because MGG was ready to leave and she was looking for something that would excite him to stay (paraphrased of course). That they did it so MGG could have another month off is a new one. And I would guess the network/studio would simply say "NO, just write him off to visit his mother like you did the last times." This is exactly how I understood what E. Messer and H. Bring said. I would also guess that it was still less expensive than doing it "the normal way".

Thought you were joking but nope. Good to know that Roxy is with the pet-sitter. I would have lost sleep over it otherwise. Any news on Reid's mother? No? MGG/Reid was exceptionally pretty last night and he got some nice lttle scenes. As for the rest .... I didn't care after someone declared that it can't be a hate crime because most of the victims were white. Yeah, whatever.

I like your way of thinking and hope you are right! ;-) Btw, any ideas which episode will be the midseason finale? Last season it was EP 8 and I had to wait until Feb 1 for a new Reid one. :( ETA: Was there a promo for last week? I havent't seen one pop up on Tumblr yet.

I don't mind the scruff but with the mustache he looks like a washed up pornstar. I can't imagine that is the look he's going for but what do I know. It's so .... unattractive. But maybe it's a "statement"? He looked rather dishellved at the start of 12.14 and I always thought it was to show how he is under a lot of stress because of his mother. Could this is something similar?

Dear goodness, what is that thing on his upper lip? O_O @Willowy: Did he still have that prominent mustache at the table read you attented? Or just the ususal scruff?

Ah, thanks and great to hear you had such a good time! :-) One question and you may not able to answer even that .... but was there anything spoiler-worthy in that episode? I mean not the crime-of-the-week plot but something like JJ and Reid in Forever People or stuff with Reid and his mother in the first few episodes of season 12. I am not asking for any hints or the characters involved, just if there is anyting like that there at all. Again, thanks for sharing! :-)
