No one's ever said Dawson is crazy and the Dawson hate has nothing to do with her colour or race or religion or anything else like that. It is totally caused by her rude, obnoxious and self centred behaviour! You dont have to like this but it is just a fact.

l do hope Dawsey comes to an end and soon! That is contributing big style to the decline of this show and much as l adore Casey, Dawson has no chemistry with anyone on the show other than herself and that is so obvious l wonder why the show runners can't see it!

Winjet you are just so spot on with this. We've been saying this since about mid season 3. Casey lost his balls completely and now he has become scabby's lapdog/yes man. Its so sickening to see this show go the way they have sent it and you are right that scabby does suck the life out of this show. She adds nothing but annoyance and boredom to it for a lot of us and we want to see them resurrect this show by getting rid of her and lighting a blue touch paper under the very lazy writers and showrunners. They are grinding it into the ground bit by bit and clearly don't take any notice of anyone except the dawson fans on twitter otherwise she would have been gone long ago. People on every social media detest scabby big style so TPTB need to take a look elsewhere other than twitter so they can see what people really think.

And it is our very public dream that Dawson would leave Chicago Fire for good! Never know such a horibble tv character before and we will never ever understand why on earth the show runners think the public actually WANT to see her in this show anyway! She needs to leave Casey alone and disappear so he can have someone who deserves him because SHE.DOES.NOT.

Lots of us have wondered this because the ending of S5 was left open to Casey not returning. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if Jesse Spencer did wish to leave this show and find something else because he is capable to SO MUCH BETTER. He is really wasted in this show now. They have shoved dawson front and centre at the expense of every other person in the show, and it has become a much poorer show as a result. Anyway now he is a captain, at least if he wants to leave he can do so without necessarily being killed off, which means if the show lasts beyond season 6, he could do recurring guest appearances.

The plotlines of this show are mostly just old ones that are being recycled. No idea why. It's just lazy writing and showrunning. It's as if NBC and the show runners have just given up on what used to be an amazing show called Chicago Fire and turned it into The Dawson Show. They don't even aspire to be very realistic any more and the continuity is appalling. Major events and happenings are just swept under the carpet and conveniently forgotten. Sad. Because it could be so much better. It's having the life strangled out of it.

Chicago Fire has some damn good actors but it has just become a rather boring show now with lazy, repetitive writing and it sure is wasting the amazing acting abilities of its two great lead stars...Jesse Spencer and Taylor Kinney. Far too much dawson and Casey is now just her doorMatt, and Severide seems to have become a one-dimensional manwhore. The two lead actors are capable of SO much more and are both being wasted now on this show! Wish dawson would just disappear and leave Casey alone. Or that they could finally make him see how horrendous she is and kick her out! Either way would be fine.

So do a lot of us! That's why so much dawson bashing is happening because she is one of the major roots of the problems that are tanking this show. NBC and the showrunners have thrown CF under the bus and we need to let them know about it! Otherwise this will be the last season they get.

Very true. She brings nothing to this show whatsoever. And yes, he has been quoted on twitter saying that she is his favourite character, and that is so plain to see on screen as well. Sadly l feel we will be in for more of the same. Such a shame to see what could have been a fabulous show reduced to the rubbish they write now. And what's more people are starting to hate my beloved Casey as well because of dawson. l know it is only a tv show but mega frustrating nonetheless to see it spoiled by lazy writing and dawson overload.

There is dawson overload in this show now because the guy who is the main showrunner (Derek Haas) is obsessed with her and has said on more than one occasion that she is his favourite character. l and millions of others have no idea why this but there we are. And his little band of dawson worshippers on twitter have clearly managed to convince him that she is worthy of being worshipped. They are losing viewers because of her but will obviously never acknowledge that fact. If she left the show, probably more viewers would come back than would leave.

Regarding dawson, no you're not horrible, just thinking the same as zillions of the rest of us out here - that we wish she would be written out of the show. l don't care how much the showrunners and rest of the show characters may worship her, l find her obnoxious, rude. self-centred, whiney and narcissistic. Don't know how or why anyone would worship that character.

Casey was definitely wrong in how he handled the rescue and its aftermath, although I appreciated that he read the article and was concerned that his decision cost the guy his leg. It was nice of Severide to admit he probably would have lost his leg anyway. It does seem like they really hit us over the head with "Casey is awesome" plots early; I assume he is heading for a fall soon. If being chief guarantees divorce, let's promote Casey again right now. Dear Chicago Fire Here l refer just to the last line of the above paragraph. Please let's promote Casey to Chief if it will make sure he becomes detached from that leech of a wife he has got himself shackled to, and no, don't let's have any 'dawsey' babies either! Thank you.

You are completely right with everything you are saying. l think Mr Haas really just has his head in the sand where Dawson is concerned and just can't or wont accept how hated a character she really is. He seems to be in the little twitter bubble maybe? Where the dawson shippers live? Well he really should broaden his horizons and have a look round to see what people are really feeling, thinking, and saying about her. It would seem that she is irredeemable now but the day Casey becomes the subject of hate because of her is the day l'm out of this fandom and many many others will leave with me l'm sure. The writers and runners are tanking this show bit by bit with silly, weak, unrealistic storylines and dawson's behaviour.

We're all hoping that it will lead to Casey waking up and realising what a self-centred, obnoxious and rude person he has shackled himself to and that he will walk away from their toxic marriage.

Dear Chicago Fire Will you just please get rid of the awful Dawson. l don't have the time or space to list the hundreds of reasons why she should go but if you would kindly read these forums you can enlighten yourselves more than adequately if you really don't know already. Many fans just can't work out quite why you have her in this show.

Hahaha they do this ALL the time on twitter as well! It's their standard answer to any anti-Gabby messages or posts - they don't have anything else in their armory. It isn't wrong to want to try and change the show for the better but they cannot or will not see dawson for what she really is and that is sad! l will still watch it for Jesse and the rest of the cast but dawson is just completely irredeemable now! The showrunners are obsessed with her the way she is so l guess they will just never change her for the better now. Too late! There is no end to the sanctimony of the gabby 'fans'. lol

Of course it was all about her and it's sickening. The whole show has degenerated into The Dawson Show now and is boring as hell with lazy writing, not much action and about 10 ten times more Dawson than there should ever be. l feel sorry for the rest of the cast because there is only so much they can do with the material they are faced with. and Dawson sticking her unwanted nose into almost every damn storyline doesnt help the show's viewing figures either. They need to look back at season 1 and 2 and work out what went wrong...shouldnt be too hard really. We've been able to see it for a long time.

The Gabby Dawson character is just rude, obnoxious, self centred and narcissistic. And for whatever reason Derek Haas seems to think that is what 'the fans' want and if twitter were to be believed that would be the case because that is where her fans hang out. But he hadnt reckoned with the people who don't like dawson biting back had he? now he's getting a truer picture of things. She needs to leave the show. After all she is a detective, an arson investigator and a structural engineer as well. She could get another job elsewhere and the showrunners could find someone for Casey who actually deserves him.!

Casey and Dawson break up road? Lots of us hope and pray this happens. Dawson just wants Casey for whatever SHE can get out of the relationship! He needs to get his balls back and ditch her!

There are LOTS of us over on twitter and l would encourage all of you on here to open an account and use it! All the dawsey fans hang out over there and act like rabid idiots if you dare to tweet something they dont like! The dawson hate isnt really the actress's fault - its the character we cant stand! We tweet Derek and make our opinions well known quite a lot but they clearly take no notice of anyone apart from the dawsey fans because they (the showrunners) are obsessed with dawson and think that she is way more popular than she is! We just cant get it through to them that she really isnt that well liked and that the show could be way better if the character was written out or at least wasnt shoved in our faces all the time! lmho she is one of the main reasons this show is taking so much flak and losing viewers. Derek Haas only ever interacts with the dawsey fans so he clearly isnt receptive to anyone who doesn't worship dawson...

It has gone downhill...a lot! The writing is lazy and they just repeat storylines. Gabby is the biggest drawback this show has now!

Problem is...the showrunners appear to be obsessed with dawson. No idea quite why either. She is a horrid obnoxious and self centred, nacissistic character and l hate seeing Casey paired with her, no way does she deserve him! People are fed up with her now and she's in literally everything in every damn show. So sick of this now. Everything seems to have to revolve around her all the time. Even Casey and Severide now. Eurgh. They are supposed to be the stars, not dawson. Largely due to twitter the showrunners seem to think she is adored by all and this is just NOT the case. They should look outside the little twitter world to get the bigger picture. The show has become boring unfortunately despite the presence of some wonderful characters and actors. The plotlines are repetitive, the action has nearly disappeared, and NBC haven't helped matter by moving Fire's day and time!

That's really sad but lm not surprised - lots of other people are voting with their devices and remotes as well. The runners need to make radical improvement to this show or this season will be their last. They just dont seem to care any more, nor do NBC. Sad for the actors because they can only do so much with the material they are faced with. And as for dawson - hope she leaves with her dad, for good. Yeah that sounds about right! Or maybe she could get Chief Hatcher's job and just make the odd guest apperance ...please?

OMG you are so right in everything you say. People are deserting the show in droves for all the reasons you list above! They should have left this as the fab stand alone show it was instead of this stupid 'One Chicago' thing. As far as we are concerned that's where it all went wrong and Fire began to decline. Sick to death of dawson - she is the main thing that has caused figures to plummet l think. Dawsey should never have happened but l guess it was always endgame unfortunately.Wish they had never paired the wonderful Casey with such a horrid character. Jesse Spencer is the leading star of the show, with Taylor the second lead, but the runners are trying to shove dawson into the leading spot and it isnt working at all. Thank goodness people are voting with their remotes and tuning out - the showrunners might begin to look at why if they have any common sense but they only seem to listen to the dawson fans on twitter who would have them believe everyone loves dawson and how wonderful she is! Well they couldnt be more wrong! They only need to look on here to see a much truer opinion but they dont really seem to care! They'll just run it into the ground and realise too late that they should have listened to us!
